Really nice sum up. A lot of ppl just slap these one and have no idea how or what they do, or why they are used, for what purpose etc. All of this applies to older platforms, the one I have is an E46 M3, but the rear end of that car is probably its weakest point. Not sure if much can be done to improve it other than bushings and geometry correction.

Thank you for this video! I've been looking at fitting a large wheel size to my car, I know of the impacts of having the wrong offset can do to the hub bearings, but I didn't know about this. This is really going to make me revaluate my plan.

Is it correct to say that adding spacers increases the scrub radius also? Is there a safe range (mm) say 10mm before it affects the car in a negative way? I am curious. Thanks for the information, it’s great having knowledge.

Yes, spacers increase scrub radius the same as a wider wheel and tire.
Anything that moves the center of the wheel and tire away from suspension increases scrub radius.
It’s not a mater of it turning unsafe at some arbitrary value.
It just has scrub radius increases, tire grip and or power increase gradually will stack up, making the car harder to control.

How does the C8 Z06 use the same identical double wishbone suspension components as on the regular C8 then despite the rear being almost 4 inches wider and with larger diameter wheels?

You need to look at the rest of the components of the suspension system and compare the differences or similarities between the two.
