    I think the whole Peloton should chuck a water bottle to fans, in the next race within the first K of live racing and lets see what the UCI does, and if that doesn't get the message, they can all put their forearms on the top bars for 1k of time.

    There's no doubt about the Lancer. He's certainly got the gift of the gab; a sort of mixture of charm and villainy.

    Brian Holm Said that Asgreen during a pre-race meeting had said “im faster than you think, even if it comes to the finishline in a bunch sprint” i dont think you should underestimate his ability to sprint. Go watch the stage in tour of California from a few years ago. Not that it was a pure sprint. But the boy can kick.

    • @fastercyclist4657
      @fastercyclist4657 3 года назад

      agree, mvdp did a 1150w sprint for 11 seconds before he seat down, 1470w peak, that's a solid sprint for mvdp, asgreen sprint is very underrated

  • @BroccoliDwarf
    @BroccoliDwarf 3 года назад +2

    MvdP's legs didn't "give out". - He gave up, because Asgreen flicked the gear lever as he came alongside him in the sprint, and the click made MvdP realise he had lost.

    the foam inserts for the clincher tyres are about 30grs each so pretty much negligible but i believe Quickstep were running tubed clinchers which wouldnt use these Vittoria 'cushcores''

  • @CrankiesInc
    @CrankiesInc 3 года назад +1

    Hey Lance,
    There’s been another race win on clinchers.
    In 1997, little known Frenchman, Frédéric Guesdon of the France de Jeux Team, won Paris-Roubiax on clinchers. He outsprinted Belgium strongmen, Eddy Planckaert and 3 time winner, Johan Museeuw. Guesdon had added help and won under the keen guidance from his team director, 2 time winner, Marc Madiot.

    Wow. Missed this channel. Gold stuff. As well as this year's De Ronde was pure gold. Only I miss is some more words on Antoïne Turgis. Really looked forward seeing him in P-R. And OK, easy with hindsight, but I called Kasper Asgreen when MvdP took the easy but risky route up Paterberg and certainly when MvdP chose lower gear for the sprint.
    If MvdP felt fatigue/cramps coming the gear ratio chosen was fine, but he started the sprint way too early. Should have waited for the last 150-175 meters, but think he was afraid Asgreen coming.

      If you saw how Ludwig tried to ride in the smooth gulley (laughable bike handling and power for a climber) and AVV had to hold on to the barrier on the last climb it really doesn’t deserve much attention in my humble opinion.

      Why should they mention the women's race? It means less time to talk about the race everyone cares about, except for you and a few others. How about YOU talk about the women's race? If you think it's important, why don't YOU create a commentary channel for women's racing?

      @@ClockCutter Because the women deserve as much time as men. Since when is this only a men's channel? Silly comment by a kid. Why don't YOU crawl back in time to YOUR hole.

      @@JonathanvG-wj1ro "Because the women deserve as much time as the men." Why? If the people who run the show and watch this channel are really only interested in the men's race, why does the women's race "deserve" coverage here?
      Hey, buddy. You're are the one talking like a child. First you demand other people give you want you want, just like a child. And then when you're challenged, all that you've got to say is, "They deserve it". This does not answer the original challenge. You haven't said anything more than, "I should get what I want, because I want it."
      And, then, of course, since you've only got the intellectual capacity of a child and really can't articulate any adult reasons that they should cover a women's race, you resort to a personal insult. Lol. Of course you did.
