I honestly thought this was a long shot in the extreme. A waste of time and effort. And when it looked like she was struggling to come to life I found myself saying....”go baby go, go baby, you can do it”, and she is saying, “I think I can....I think I can”. And she DID do it. She got past the stumbling and found her rhythm and purred like a kitten. I’m a believer now. Fully onboard. Good for you, and her. Standing by for more.
Giving me hope I can get my old E14 that I picked up cheap as it had a cracked head going again. I am at the point you were just before yours started and stayed running. Also dealing with low compression in my rear cylinder due to sticky rings(only 661 hours on my engine). But my started gave up totally, have to get a new one before I can try again. So I am soaking the rear cylinder with PB Blaster via the glow plug hole to help free up those rear rings enough to get her to start. Once I get some heat in the block, like yours did, I think it will be ok. Mine does not have the massive rust issues, just lack of upkeep and weather worn. Mine is also 2wd and not 4wd(I wish it was!)
Nice work getting her running again and de-bugged. Hopefully you can get the parts you need to finish off without going over budget ... +1 LIKE. +1 SUBSCRIBE
Probably a cockroach stuck in the intake valve lol. Honestly though I'm impressed that you got it running, That rotten valve cover didn't look promising.

Thanks! I wasn't sure as well.

Nice! Diesels are great engines. The bugs weren't happy about it.
Yeah I think I got all the bugs worked out. Lol
That thing got parked under the pine tree of death. Kudos on bringing back to life.
Yes I think it sat for years with wet pine needles on it.
Free is rarely free ...lol. Sounds like it runs well now.
You’ve got that right.

Thanks! I’m having to get creative on parts but so far finding what I need.

Lol, could be. Yeah I figured when I saw the valve cover that this thing was a goner.
I’m probably not going to make it. Sorry about that. I will tune in to the recording once I can.
no problem, thanks for checking in.
wonder if the roaches are attracted to the glycol; sweet tasting.
could be, there was still some "coolant" in the bottom of the engine.
I’m surprised it runs. but if parts are too hard to get then you should probably just scrap it
So far I’ve been able to find parts and they don’t seem too pricey. I may have to make/modify a few things.
I told you that you could do it!
Thanks! I think we may save this tractor.
