Thank you so much for all the kind comments. I love doing films like this that go off on a bit of a tangent (and I love that Hagerty lets me!). The Tecnica really is so good as well. As I said towards the end, it's a car that could easily be overlooked yet it is just SO fun to drive - easily the match of newer rivals. Anyway, thank you again - please do share the film if you enjoyed it (it really helps).

2 points to make. It makes me sad we no longer have Saab when they were one of the innovators of turbocharged engines of 2 and 2.3 liter engines. They struggled against other rivals with V6 and V8 engines. The other point is I am willing to forgo outright performance of a turbocharged engine over the sound of a good N/A V8. I will hold onto mine for as long as I can.

Obviously if you can have same peak power from naturally aspirated engine than from a turbo charged, naturally aspirated one is to go for. It´s more responsive wrether on acceleration or lifting off (as it was mentioned in this review), and also due its wide rev range makes it better when driving on the limit, less wheel spin than turbo or supercharged engine will provide mainly because they got so narrow rev range and high torque, eventhough turbo lag has almost disappeared these days.

Great review Henry, I'm a big fan of your work.
One comment: it's a widely held misconception that the 'flutter' noise has something to do with the wastegate. What you're hearing is compressor stall (from the other side of the turbo). It's caused by a large pressure created in the charge pipe when the throttle closes quickly but the turbo still has momentum. It's essentially the sound of the compressor wheel 'skidding' on the air it's pushing. If its particularly aggressive, it can damage (bend) compressor blades. Dump valves are installed to prevent this (and provide better charge control also). If the dump valve is small, or perhaps due to certain dump-valve control strategies, you'll still hear some compressor stall.

Spectacular video! Thank you, Henry and team. This, and your video essay on the manual transmission (GT3) are quite the pair, and explain how I feel about both and why I go for manual, N/A cars.
But, I am compelled by 'the power of three'. So, what is the last pillar? For me, for a road driving experience, it has to be some form of convertible or targa roof. Exposure to the elements around you and all the benefits that offers, ultimately leads to a more exciting and engaging road driving experience. An R8, V10, Manual, Spider captures all three of these elements, as does a Z4MR, which is why I love them.
Thanks again for the great video. I look forward to the next!

Thank you for the Math calculation. Now I can kind of gauge noise differences between an S550 Mustang GT vs a supercar like Lambo.
Since the Huracan produces 750Hz, a 2018 Mustang GT (Euro Spec) does
    (7500rpm) ÷ (60secs) = 125
    125 ÷ 2 (crank shaft cycles) = 62.5
    62.5 x (8 cylinders) = 500Hz.
Now I understand just how loud these supercars can be in stock form. ☺️

As for NA vs turbo, I love turbo, but not as much for MR cars. Coming out of lag mid turn can be an issue, and you don't really have that with the linear torque curve of NA or supercharged.

maybe sound echo box can delay sounds and change base heaviness of sound, then that can be coreelated with torque while higher rpm corelated wth higher pitch sound, energy level obviosuly naturally correlate with loudness, although in a drivetrain where combustion stays at certain rpm for effiency, this will have to be also modulated by sound canceling foams and audip speakers. inline 3 being effceint for turbo , a electric turbo can create linear correlation between sound, torque vs rpm, driver input, and possibly less emissions. and torque to maek up for the weight addition... although tires wont last as long under the weight and will have ti be more expensive sticker less lifetime tires, to a extent, and the greater weight makes it difficult to manage traction loss for fun or to save from accidents. this mabe how gma t43 will work. ironically, microplastics emission from tires and possibly some types of brake pads, are proabbly worse than combustion emissions.. we dont have smog and normal cars are better off being compact plug in hybrids where small combustion charges motor and a balance of batteyr amount for longveity while they still havnt started a way to mass recylcle the materials while petrol is a thick liquid pool as a byproduct of anaerobic bacteria , not from "fossils" as in fossil fuel.... like human donating blood, as long as you dotn take out too much at a time, its fine.. although acid rain and smog can be bad in low speed dense population areas where more people breathe, plgi hybrid tens not to run combustion for sake of ownership cost anyway, and people can choose to insist on no running combustion by a switch in car to overide the longevity and cost focused algorithim in car. "rent instead of buy" profit system can allow higher budget safer more effceint etc build quality, then make different renters across its longest possible lifetime pay for it, but you need to have legal contract or something to protect from wireless tracking and control of car, such as ""you didnt behave as we want as detected by out microphone, etc, so were taking away features by software(see romanian tvee video on "why woke wont go broke"(banks and investors authority) ) or "youll have to pay for software of hardware you already payed for" (see new jersy law trying to pass against stuff like this, like electric doedge demon software locking motor power, or prosche software locking remote key, etc). wireless key car stealing.
