Eddie didn’t play from printed music, but he could read it. He and Alex both took classical piano lessons as kids.

There is a photo in Alex's book brother showing Eddie with his mother holding sheet music. Alex writes that Eddie couldn't read it.
Did not know this. I remember when Black Sabbath toured with Van Halen in 1978.
I saw them in Chicago . I was unaware of Van Halen at the time but omg they burned their music in my brain
