In the words of Thomas Jefferson: "The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."
"During my twelve-and-half years as a member of this body, I have never believed that additional gun control or federal registration of guns would reduce crime. I am convinced that a criminal who wants a firearm can get one through illegal, untraceable, unregistered sources, with or without gun control.”
      - Senator Joseph Biden, July 1985
"The right of a citizen to keep and bear arms, in lawful defense of himself or the State, is absolute. He does not derive it from the state government. It is one of the “High Powers” delegated directly to the citizen, and is excepted out of the general powers of government. A law cannot be passed to infringe upon or impair it because it is above the law, and independent of lawmaking”
      Cockrum v State, 24Tex394 (1859).
"The constitution preserves the advantage of being armed, which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation, where governments are afraid to trust the people with arms."----James Madison
“A law repugnant to the Constitution is void. An act of Congress repugnant to the Constitution cannot become a law. The Constitution supersedes all other laws and the individual’s rights shall be liberally enforced in favor of him, the clearly intended and expressly designated beneficiary.”
      -Marbury v. Madison, 5 U.S. 137 (1803)

They could leave the doors unlocked and windows down with no fear of them being stolen or being shot at school. People could leave their doors and windows unlocked at their homes with no fear of being robbed or attacked in their home. The problem is not guns, it is lack of morals and lack of respect. Trevor Noah,
You exhibit yourself to be critically uninformed,
Vastly vapid in your double-speak, and pathetically useless to any logical discussion on this, and any topic of national import because you refuse to recognize and admit your liberal cowardice as you hide yourself behind well-armed security personnel at your pathetically watched T.V. station, and being the coward that you obviously show yourself to be
(Otherwise you would invite any number of well-informed constitutionalists to debate “MAN TO MAN”, this very crucial subject with you ). But you won’t be doing anything similar to that anytime soon. You are much too cowardly for something like actually having to defend your humorless attempts at humor. Otherwise, you could possibly open up yourself to the very real danger of exposing yourself to the real truth behind crime, criminals, and their seemingly allergic response to following the hundreds, and hundreds of current laws (federal, and state wide) already on the books. And on the topic of debating Man to Man, I know that you cannot simply define exactly “What Is A Woman”,and therefore, it is equally difficult for you to define yourself as a Man. Your ilk have once again talked yourself into a corner that I truly hope the informed and educated members of this society will be able to help you out of.

Because Mr. Sepeda, many people would be angry if the Government said "We have draconian measures designed to rob you of your rights and freedoms and we want to make them into laws, but if we do, you'll revolt. That is why you need to be disarmed". If the Government was truthful and said this, all hell would break loose. So they have to get you to believe that it's all about disarming violent criminals. Surely everyone wants an end to violent criminals right? It's a very reasonable request. Gun control is all about controlling you, not criminals.

Back in 2002, when I turned 18, me and some friends hopped the fence at a local public pool. Most us us just swam, but a few decided to bust into the concession area. I will admit that after seeing them come out with snacks and drinks, I went in too and went straight to the ChocoTacos and went at em. Anywho, my more reckless friend grabbed the fire extinguisher and let it loose all inside the kitchen area and outside in the pool area. We all took off running because it was billowing up in the air and we didn't want to get caught. As we're going, a state trooper saw us leaving the parking lot and pulled us over. A few more cops came and they took us to the station. We were there for hours. So long that by the morning the station started getting calls from the pool about the break in and the damage done. You see, that fire extinguisher powder went into and ruined 10s of thousands of dollars worth of kitchen equipment. We were in trouble. By the time we went to court...none of us would say who did it so we all got hit with criminal trespass and various charges. 1 of which was graded as a misdemeanor 1..which carries the same sentence as a felony 3. One of the penalties included our gun rights being taken away.
As I got older and further away from that situation, I started wanting my rights restored. It took me about $4,300 paying lawyers to petition the courts over the years and finally in 2016, my 2A was restored. So after all that here it turns out people want to take them away once again ...this time over something I had nothing to do with? No. Heck no dude. My shop is in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Pittsburgh but we STILL get robbed here and there. Even a few years back there was a lunatic that walked into a synagogue only a few blocks a way and ended the lives of almost a dozen people. I will not allow people like Trevor Noah to convince people I shouldn't be allowed to protect myself, my family, and my friends. All I can say is you really have to be active in your local community. Get involved. The first hint of restrictions to be enforced in your township, speak up. Let them know there is pushback and voters don't want that. They got away with it in Philly and that place is a straight up warzone. Over here in Pittsburgh we can open carry and it's a much much safer city...go figure.
So people, don't just get mad at your phone screen. Get involved in your local politics. It's the only way you'll be heard.

Yes man and the crazy thing is that is the America-counts every shooting above 4 people regardless of motives which is why Chicago lead and Philadelphia lead the country in mass shootings . What mass shooting happened their recently? None all quadruple homcides in gang violence that’s illegal in the first place . Now in Europe they don’t count it like that. If it’s caused by terrorist or organized crime AKA gang violence they completely scrub it out of the mass shooting numbers . In fact Australia the same 4 person shooting in a home is called a Familicide and in the us that’s called a mass shooting- Why ?Because if we define a mass shooting being people shooting at innocent people for no reason. Mass shootings in America are then very rare too. And another thing every country has it own unique challenges we deal with domestic terrorist and Europe deals with foreign terrorist but we never talk about that . And before starting remember that the list goes all the way down to the 1970s I’m just talking about recently like 2015 France 130 dead 450 injured.Germany 2015 150 dead plain crash.Belgium bombing 2016 21 deaths , 180 injured.France 2016 86 deaths ,400 + injuries . Germany 2016 car ramming 11 dead 56 injured. UK bombing 22 deaths and that source is from 2017 and lemme tell you right now that’s larger then our whole mass shooting numbers in 10 years and we are comparing like 4 years of data to 10 years of data . And it’s a fair comparison because uk. France. Germany and Belgium have about the same population combined as us. I always see Europe teases us for the mass shootings but seems like someone needs to worry about protecting your citizens as a whole.
I could write a novel listing all terrorist deaths that aren’t mass deaths . But my case stands in the us yes we have had a mass shooting every year since we can remember. But so European countries, they just are way better at putting together stats not tainting what has actually happened . And fact check me bro all facts.

Go back in history and look at all the other real-world examples of what happens when authoritarian, dictatorial-lead countries have confiscated their citizens’ guns.
Communism is responsible for 100+ million innocent lives taken. In almost every place that these atrocities occurred, the very first thing that happened, was the eradication of the ability for those citizens to defend themselves with the most basic level of personal protection. They removed the guns from the population entirely. Putting the very people whom claimed to be their protectors, now in a position to carry out their genocides with little to no resistance from the people.
Every. Single. Place where this happens. Every One, has a single shared commonality. Disarm the people.
Mao, Stalin, Hitler, as the more known historical tragedies that wiped out millions upon millions. But the list is long & it never fails to mention that not one of the times for it happening, started with the total removal of firearms from the general public.
The reason the Japanese stopped their attacks in Pearl Harbor rather than continue into the Main Land with a ground invasion…is because they knew that everyday Americans were armed.
Look at Ukraine & Taiwan now, prime examples for why the 2A is what it is.

Like how a lot of them fled Cali after enabling the homelessness, taxes and crime spikes for years.

I'm not a black man. But I know brilliance when I see it, or hear it. Devon, you and Colin are brilliant. Your arguments on this subject matter is solid and well articulated. I will note that Trevor is not stupid. Arguing Trevors positions are necessary because of who he influences, not because he does not understand the constitutional questions he challenges. He, to me, is a quasi change agent/propagandist/activist; disguised as a television personality who dons a funky hair do and speaks with an elitist sounding British accent. His magnetic qualities have earned him his platform and he works to achieve agreement from the common viewers on his opinions. Im betting he was hand picked. He is a dangerous man. Devon I'm glad you isolated both these men to showcase arguments on both sides of the 2A questions. If enough people understood the power Trevor wields and the effects on public opinion, his show would be cancelled for ratings. It appears more people need to know. Excellent video.

Ulvade was planned by some sick evil whacko! Those lives were expendable to reach a goal, those kids and those teachers didn't matter. The police were in on the plan, the border patrol was not. Ask yourself what resulted from the murders at Ulvade, who benefited from the murders? Look at the big picture and use your common sense, look at the murderer and his circumstances. Why was Kyle Rittenhouse prosecuted? Why do the politiians want to disarm the folks who never broke a law, by passing a bill that allows the government to take away the arms of law abiding citizens and ignoring due process? Because the elites have plans for the country and you're not on the winning side of the changes they have in store for us. Be prepared, we are in for some tough times.

Speaking of the bow and arrow, Norway had an archery “mass shooting” about six months ago. A man with a “large capacity” quiver ran through the mall shooting people with a bow. Several deaths and many injuries. Israel has also had many mass stabbings with knives, often ended by an armed citizen with a concealed carry permit.

    • @koreyx4805

Okay so take those incidents and think about this. In each of those incidents, how many people do you think those individuals would of killed if they had easy access to a high capacity semi automatic rifle. Trevor is smart enough to know you can’t stop people from killing each other. His just saying we should think of ways to help prevent mass shootings, and make it harder for criminals and crazies to get access to guns. The majority of Americans agree there should be something done. I own a few hand guns, no ARs, but I’d like to have one and I wouldn’t mind the additional background checks or red flag laws. The day the American government pass a law to take away guns from Americans, that will truly be the day this country will see its next civil conflict.

It seems that Trevor just seems to forget to mention all the safety improvements that have been made in todays firearms and ammunition. Those old black power firearms were very dangerous to own and fire, they were many times unreliable. The development of the modern cartridge , modern metallurgy, and safety requirements have made the modern firearm some of the safest in history. That and modern training have made firearm ownership and use some of the safest in history. What Trevor also doesn’t bring up is the fact that it’s not the gun that causes most murders it’s the criminals, just like it’s not the automobiles that cause most accidents it the operators. Both are dangerous in the hands of people who intend to do harm to others.

When I was young, parents took the time to teach their children how to be RESPONSIBLE with all things they came in contact with on a regular basis. I had to cut the grass. I was taught how to's around the lawnmowers. Check the oil; add gasoline; Start it; KEEP Hands and Feet away from moving part to avoid getting them cut off like the grass. We had snakes around the house and I was taught about safety around them. There were guns in the house, so I was taught about firearms. I was given a handgun at 14 and taught how and when it was ok to use it. There were rifles around and I was taught about them. Safety with anything begins in the home and with Responsible Parenting. Without this self-governing measure, you'll have this irresponsible population always looking for some else to carry the weight their own responsibility. Therefore they have handed off their duty to the PTB - Federal Government, that doesn't have your best interest in mind. HEY, Think It Ain't Illegal, Yet!!
