This might be the Realist, most normal, most legit, most down to earth, most straight forward personal YT video I have seen. Keep it up! First video of yours I've seen. I like it. Ya know These manufacturers know what they're doing with skimping... Keep calling them out if you see it. I think all the things you said were reasonable additions to their line-up. But sadly, they know that the next year, they'll sell the expensive gas tank addition. It is a shame. For their cost of like 10 bucks.... we pay hundreds.
I agree 100% that’s why I keep my 255 RXTX 2008 because storage space is huge I can easily store tools, Neso tent, pair of fins, 3 camping pillows, 2 folding camping chairs, just down below in the inside then on the storage bucket I put a cooler, bag with clothes, two towels and still have space. I don’t agree with the back storage you’ve asked for because in case of an emergency you need direct acces to the engine compartment.
Thats def. A lot of stuff to get in the ski thats awesome. Yea good point with the access to thr engine, def something to consider. I do like the Yamahas..some have a rope compartment on the back outside below the tow ring...i like that idea too. **SK** Be sure to SUB if you havent already.. Free giveaway coming soon to subs.
Granted this is pretty much the base model Seadoo but I agree on the storage aswell. I got the fish finder pro so I have no storage problems thank ya baby jesus!
That's what's up. I say you made a great purchase. Tons of life left. Have fun this season racking up those hours! And thanks for the feedback, appreciate it if you would Subscribe!**SK**
I just picked up a 2017 GTI 155 with 22 hours on it. Been a boater all my life but this lifestyle is amazing! Happy to find your channel SK! Will be watching to see if you can save me any 💰🫰💲.
Thanks for this video. I own a 2013 GTX and share some of your criticisms. Rear storage - definitely. Fuel capacity - Thankfully they seem to be getting the message here. The 2019 Fish Pro has a 70L tank (just like Yamaha always have... Thanks for finally joining the party Seadoo!). The glove box (mid storage) - where's the spring to hold the lid up when I open it? Again, Yamaha have one! I bought my Seadoo because I use it in salt and liked the idea of closed loop (fresh water) cooling. I've owned a Yamaha before and it'll be a tough decision what make to go for next time around. Have fun on the water. 👍🏻
Appreciate the feedback! I'm not in the market for another ski yet but when I am I look forward to the options available. Seadoo def. pushes the envelope in a lot of ways and in others not so much but agreed it seems like they are getting the mesg. I'm sure 2020 will bring some great things to us ski lovers. Thanks for watching, hope you subscribe, I look forward to getting back out there soon and bringing a ton more content along with it to the channel **SK**
My number one gripe is as you mentioned about colors. It reminds me of the Model T Ford. You could have any color you wanted, as long as you wanted black. You can only get what they like, and I dont like what they like. Imagine if top auto makers still only offered you one color each year. I will have to buy a used one because color is that important to me. I wish Sea Doo was listening.
I can't deny that seadoos have the looks in my opinion. Really sharp designs. But when I weighed out everything. Reliablilty, storage, size of gas tank, power (180HP) cost of maintenance. I went with the Yamaha Vx cruiser HO. Don't regret it so far. Knock on wood. Lol......I've seen those 1.8 liters with over 500 hours on them without any mechanical issues ever.
I battled between the VX Cruiser and the GTI 130, then I almost was swayed to the VXR before deciding on the GTI 155 at the boat show. Pretty sure I would have been happy either way though...who isn't happy on a jet ski! LOL. Thanks for the feed back Chris...Hope you hit that SUBSCRIBE! -SK-
Yeah towing on the new models seems even more cumbersome, but those 230s are a beast. Odd I dont see as many as I thought I would...lots of GTIs and RXTX 300s at least up in New England.
SK LIFEstyle yes that is soooo true!! I haven’t come across any gtr videos!! that’s how I found your video!! And I’m so glad I did!! Glad to subscribe!!!
Brian Davis Nice! You won't be disappointed. Glad I could help, that's certainly one of my goals. I'd appreciate if you hit that Subscribe button! FYI my 1 year review just came out too.**SK**
Totally agree on some of these. I have a 2016 and 2020 gti. First love me the Maldives blue. I was like that one. I want that one. But storage and that damn tow ring are definitely my biggest dislikes
Watching all your vids... very helpful. Wife and I are choosing which seadoo is best for us. Thinking of a GTX with the 155 engine OR a 230 engine (2018 new model). I like the non supercharged fuel economy but wont want to "wish i had more power" after a year of ownership...
Chris V Thanks Chris, hope you SUB'd to catch all the latest. I will have a few more videos coming out soon regarding the Doo. Maintenance & cost, speed, why Sea Doo, that sort of stuff.. As for speed its hard to say. I have ridden faster ski's before and it doesnt bother me mine is 10mph slower or 1/2 sec slower accel wise. I also use to have a couple street bikes so I def. enjoy going fast, which this is, just not THE fastest. I was nervous about it too, I do think if I got another I would get a faster ski, but also for more added features they come with, but because I have another reliable, fuel efficient machine, not because I feel I missed out. I could have this one for 10 years and be happy. But again, each person is different, hopefully my 2 cents helped somewhat.
I have gti 130 and has plenty storage in front plus the glove compartment storage. Only thing I hated was not being told it had a speed limitation set on it when I bought it. At 25 hrs it was updated to reach top speed 50 mph. Was topping out at 42mph at first. If u add bigger tank then that means more weight. Maybe that'll take away some hp? Plus adding riders? Idk. It's a balance I guess. Color limits a thing to hate on? Taking a second to make sure glove compartment is shut correct not a big deal either especially if u put a phone or keys in there, it's worth the 2 seconds. Have the tow loop also but havent towed anyone yet so dont know how well it handles. Mine has the eco mode also ,so can save on gas that way too. Oh, wished mine came with a foot step , sold separately lol.
Thanks MK! Appreciate ya watching..please SUB! For sure you can tow someome with 90hp.. Might be a low # for skis but for boats its still a lot. Plus it has a standard size hull so you should be Ok. But I do think you will notice it a bit more with 1 person on the back spotting, than you would with a 130. I haven't ridden one of the 90s, certainly interested to see the diff. I think the 130 will give ya a bit more thrill and resell a little better. But if money is a factore I highly doubt you will be upset have the 90. Certainly better than a spark because the use of a full size can't be overstated. **SK**
Did you say Lake Champlain? Good reviews on the GTI...looking at one a friend bought at the beginning of the season as a left over...9hrs on it... have a 1998 Waverunner XL760 now and want a newer second ski
Andrew Favreau Yup! Just got back, awesome time, some videos coming soon! Yea I think a slightly used GTI is a good way to go for sure. And thanks for the feedback, I'll try and keep it coming! **SK**
I think she handles very well. Harder to stay dry when having to cut through, and wants to jump a wave more than slice through, but rough lakes or sea I have felt confident. I think me upgrading to a bigger model would have the least to do with needing better response in the chop, more about features and speed, but of course I would take the added capability if it was there. Hope that helps, thanks for watching and be sure to Subscribe! **SK**
@@SKLIFEstyle thanks for the response. Very insightful, I have a chance to get a gtx 170 '20 but was afraid it would feel to "boaty" as I'm coming off a older smaller ski. Trade offs are tough, maybe I should look at a 230 instead. Going out in March =subed!
An i-Hook will allow you to throw the rope on in literally 3 seconds, with the U-Hook you have to feed the loop of the rope through and then run the rest of the line through the loop so that the rope is secured and always takes 2 or 3 min and kind of annoying when you on the ski, not near shore and trying to do things quick. I did finally install one, you can check that video out as well. Thanks for watching, please SUBSCRIBE! **SK**
@@SKLIFEstyle Ah okay, that makes more sense. However, from an engineers perspective (I'm a mechanical engineer) the single hole through the fiberglass (for an I-Bolt) hull doesn't give any redundancy, so there is more likely going to be a failure at some point. That would be my guess as to why the engineers used a U-bolt instead of a I-bolt. Now, I'm not saying that your I-bolt will fail, it's just that if you're making 10 000 seadoo's it is more likely that a few will fail then if you had two spots that the bolt is going through. If I were you, I probably would have put a heavy duty carabiner on the U-bolt so it was quick and easy to attach a rope, but of course an I-bolt works as well!
@@3akoscielski yea the i hooks still have the u around it, just an upward facing hook for quick on off. But you are right. Many will use carabiners on the u hooks. I was just always nervous someone will swing it and scratch/crack the fiberglass being careless but probably not that big a deal. I have so many small scratches now probably make no difference 🤣**SK**
@@SKLIFEstyle Ohhhh, I get what you mean. I thought you were replacing the U bolt But instead you're using the I-bolt with the U-bolt to latch it on quickly. Great idea!
mooodus LOL..There is work arounds, and cheap ones at that...but its just like why bother to put the loop and not the eye hook...probably to get us to upgrade..haha smh. Thanks for watching & feedback. -SK-

And absolutely, not only are the colors great to look at but help visibility too. 2015/16 had an awesome line up of colors...they should have kept that going and expanded...To many blacks and dark blues in the line up...great for sports cars...kind of dull for PWCs.
I agree!!!!! I like sea doo! And I have been debating on buying one, But I'm noticing everything is an up charge with sea doo. And the color arrangements suck! The need more color themes on their higher end models!! And a bigger tank👍🏻🤞🏻
I think that if you have it custom made from a diffrent company they may be able to do it for you theres allot of companys out there that mechanic provide custom services for boats and jetskis , it may be price but if you like your machine and dont mind putting down a little more that could be a solution for you
They have really cheaped out over the years, my old 2005 gti le rfi was bloody awesome. Under the rear seat storage, eye hook in the centre of the tow hook and loads of otherthings that they discontinued to “cut down costs” when in reality it costs literally nothing to add basic things like that. Its not like they are adding twin turbos with 20k hours of engineering…
Yeah I def. think there was plenty of opportunities. I give them credit for making just about every model with the Linq system & front rise up storage now but those accessory costs are pretty big, so there is definitely a trade off. I actually just bought an inflatable boat to tow around and haul our gear to sites & give us a place to hang out so be sure to Subscribe and check out how that works out this season!**SK**
Agree especially with color selection but more importantly.. are those water shoes if yes those are nice what are they and where'd you get them? Thanks
Javier Gonzalez B-) good question! I will be putting up a quick SK Lifestyle review probably tomorrow. Can't remember off the top of my head, my wife actually bought us both a pair..that was my first time with them. -SK-
Possibly, but I add a lot of weight in the front trunk, easily 30lbs+ with the anchor...that's 3-4 gal. right there. But now they have the linq system, no way they go bigger cause they want to sell linq acess. **SK**
Yea I may look into that i-hook. I might get the pylon though, especially if I end up grabbing a wake board. I kind of want one. Love a wake boat to go with my wakeboard ;-p lol
@@SKLIFEstyle Get the ski mode module as well...works great, you dont need to feather throttle, just pull and go....you basically have a fiberglass hulled wake 155 then... I wake skate tube and knee board behind mine...looking into the wake board life tho...dave oc who rides for obrien can do some knarly tricks behind the ski ...also the pylon makes it easier to get up on the board as it wont pull you down (rope angle)
@@nc_mtbmedic1399 Yea I was thinking about grabbing the xMod either way just to make even tubing a little less taxing but for sure I need it with that Pylon. #WakeLife **SK**

I think there is very little difference at all between mine and that one other than the Hp and palm grips really (I would highly recommend upgrading the grips to those). I think it will be a great purchase. 130 will be plenty to rip around anywhere and you get all the benefits of a full size ski. Thanks for watching, please Subscribe!**SK**
I have a 10 seadoo GTX with the eyeballs in the back of my ski. And on the gas tank comment there's engineers that design this thing that are smarter than you and I put together. My guess more weight less performance.put somebody that weighs about 260 lbs on the back of your ski let me know how it handles
I think it is more of just a savings. Using a standard gas tank size instead of paying to develop a new one. Because you could very well only fill it with 1 gallon or 16...big weight difference. Can also keep the trunk empty or fill it with 50lbs worth of stuff and thats right near the tank. 20 Gal. Tank would add idk 20lbs. I don't see that making her a drag to ride, especially since the tank sits center.**SK**

I love my Sea-Doo
Should I get one for 5 k I’m really interested in what you think
For $5K seems like a good deal. I would say go for it!**SK**
I’ll take it bro
😂
No real storage in rear.
Eye hook for tow ring
Glove box difficult to shut all the way
Fuel tank could be larger
Color schemes
Thanks
Agree especially with color selection but more importantly.. are those water shoes if yes those are nice what are they and where'd you get them? Thanks
Javier Gonzalez B-) good question! I will be putting up a quick SK Lifestyle review probably tomorrow. Can't remember off the top of my head, my wife actually bought us both a pair..that was my first time with them. -SK-
SK LIFEstyle cool, I will keep an eye out for the review. Thanks
So I’m a bigger fuel tank would be nice. But it might throw off the balance and buoyancy of the pwc
Possibly, but I add a lot of weight in the front trunk, easily 30lbs+ with the anchor...that's 3-4 gal. right there. But now they have the linq system, no way they go bigger cause they want to sell linq acess. **SK**
SK LIFEstyle true true. I agree with all of your statements. Good vids man. Been bing watching today 😂
@@hd42gaming54 appreciate it! More content coming for sure! Even during the virus... #CantStopWontStop **SK**
527 subs and he thinks seadoodoo is listening to him el oh el
Heard, my #Seadoo videos do have 100K+ views though so you never know. **SK**
Why not trade it in and buy something you like instead.?
IDK if any ski is perfect, so for people wondering the down side to the GTI, in my opinion this was it. **SK**
5 things I can complain about instead of switching to a Yamaha and not sinking
$35 for the i-hook for tubing, you can also get the pylon for 350 or so
Yea I may look into that i-hook. I might get the pylon though, especially if I end up grabbing a wake board. I kind of want one. Love a wake boat to go with my wakeboard ;-p lol
@@SKLIFEstyle
Get the ski mode module as well...works great, you dont need to feather throttle, just pull and go....you basically have a fiberglass hulled wake 155 then...
My friends seadoo has an I-hook, does that mean it's modded or did some of them come with one?
You’re trying to think of stuff as you go...click bait. Great product there are no 5 negatives.
I did make a list actually, but I think I have just got better at making videos since. But I can't knock your second point, they are amazing machines, getting ready to take mine out for the first time finally this coming week. Thanks for watching. Please SUBSCRIBE! **SK**
I'm about to get a 14 GTs 130 what's ya opinion of that ski
I think there is very little difference at all between mine and that one other than the Hp and palm grips really (I would highly recommend upgrading the grips to those). I think it will be a great purchase. 130 will be plenty to rip around anywhere and you get all the benefits of a full size ski. Thanks for watching, please Subscribe!**SK**
Where do you launch at? I useally launch in east Hartford at river front.. maybe we can get out sometime
Yeah I launch at river front area a bit...I'm sure we could ride some time. Appreciate if ya SUB, workin on gettung to 1K by summer. **SK**
I own a 2007 seadoo wake addition 215hp. I bought it used, it has 68 hours now I'm waiting for the supercharger to go through the engine!
That's some low hours, sounds like you have a pretty decent machine, hope it holds up. I'm sure it will with the right maintenance. 🤞**SK**
people customise skis so how bout you
i like the intro you should use it more ...
Jahair Olmstead Thanks for the feedback, will do!
but u do need a good but of space to work on it
sale it and get another. I like your videos. but I think you saw all this before you bought it.
Yea just about. I dont think I will ever sell her but I may get another ;-p ... I'm getting on the wakeboard wave this summer, cant wait! **SK**
I don't see that making her a drag to ride, especially since the tank sits center.**SK**
what goggles do you have do they work good
Boating for years..save money get paintball mask and / or oakleys
nice intro did you record it with your phone
Exactly right on all accounts. Beautiful jetski but definitely could be improved
How many gallons per hour?
Hey Kevin, I have another video that breaks it down really well. Here's the link. Let me know what you think. Please Subscribe! **SK**

Do they only last for 300 hours?
I've seen a lot of people with machines over that, 500, 700...I will hopefully be one of those people. #82Hours now. **SK**
The 6th it’s a seadoo 😂
D2 King BRP sucks in general.
100 it sucks about ur video, can't hear you bro...lol
#3 may be a little more muffled than the rest, but your the first person to say that. Just watched a little with volume half way up and it seems fine. Sorry you found an issue with it tho. Still urge you to SUBSCRIBE! Season is just starting and I will be pumping out a ton more content on the ski. **SK**
Just get a wrap
thirs a storage when you lift up the wheel
I found this to be very petty reasons, get a better ski if you want these options
#6, they are slow AF
i have that same exact jet ski lmao
Lol
And the intro was not good the sound quality was not good at all
5 things I don’t understand
Bunch of whining 😂
Haha, probably a bit a truth to that.**SK**
