He jumped everything with ease. 'Control' is the operative word. Even with the slight brake failure at the end, he looks great. You are a very talented rider. Well done.
He just keeps getting better. He's such an incredible athlete. So much power! Every time I watch the two of you I see an increasingly cohesive team that are really learning to understand and trust each other. I love Justine's shirt. 😂
What a lifeline Justine is to both Ember & yourself . She’s both your calm space and you can really see how much she cares about him & the horse he’s becoming ❤
This vlog made me smile so much . The transformation is amazing. From not being able to get him going and napping to not being able to stop. You smashed it !!!
Ember's like, hold on, mom. I've got this...😂🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎 Girl, I've said it before and I'll say it again, you are so brave! ❤ Great job Lucy!!!! You deserve a gold metal for sticking with him during his solo horse race! 😂🤣🤣🤣❤❤
Well done Ember and Lucy for a great vlog. He did a great dressage and showjumping round. He certainly enjoyed his cross country round and you did brilliantly to survive the second half of the course. You are both stars 🌟 and Justine was fantastic so encouraging for you ❤
The improvement in you both is just huge! His show jumping round was lovely!! His jump has improved so much! He looked like a machine out cross country and certainly respected them being a bit bigger! Well done xx
Cross country. Flipping heck. When he was going forward boy he made those fences look like there was nothing there. Just amazing. He made an incredible recovery over that sticky moment at fence 5. He did forget he was eventing and not racing for a moment didn’t he. 😬 It’s impossible to believe he is the same horse that Justine had to “ride and lead” you and Ember over tiny hunter trial fences not so long ago really. What an amazing improvement and with so much more to come. 😃 Jolly well done. Keep up the incredible work. 👏👏
That was fantastic Lucy Ember was flying through the cross country that’s my favorite part. .His power wow you rode him brilliantly and your happy which is great. Yep more core work we sure need it for tbs. TFs🤗🏇🤗
The dressage warm up was the best I’ve seen him go, taking the contact, relaxed, longer steps in trot. 👏🏻 Showjumping was a joy to watch.( Never said that before!😂) XCountry was also fabulous, until the end, but he’s SO brave. Very good job Lucy. 💪🏼👍.
Ember was flying!!! 🥰🥰 I agree with Justine...... If you are stepping further up the classes with this Red Arrow, you need to get stronger! Poor thing, you looked absolutely pumped! 😅😅 I would have pied myself down that drop at that speed!!! 🙈🙈 But you two look like you can go much further!!! ❤❤ You made it look easy!!!
WOW! That was amazing. Ember was so different (well, until half way round the Xcountry!) he looked far more relaxed and he did brilliantly as did you! I have to say, he looked so good going round, until he took over, but still, he flew over those jumps. That jump down looked steep and that's the first time I've seen you or even Meg do something like that, so I could see that this course was a big step up, despite it being a 90. You've done it now, no need to be aprehensive about it any more, just build your confidence and get into the gym!!! Congratulations to you both.
Brilliantly rode wow he's a complex little horse to ride and your partnership has come a long way be proud of all you achieve you did fantastic Lucy❤ and have to admire the lovely crew you surround yourself with by the way Justine is a amazing friend instructor ❤
Well I thought you did a really good job of that 🎉 watching him go round at the first few fences reminded me of William fox pit on charisma well done 🐎👍👍
Imagine That!! Wow wee look where you are now, what a journey and all is good Ember is a super star, boyfriend so helpful and supportive and Justine is there for you always, just have to work on that core strength so you don't pull and its all in your TorsO pivotal strength, BravO Team 🐎💪🙏💜

Lucy was doing a little race riding today out there on the cross country. Ember really seems to enjoy his eventing now. He is so athletic and fearless to the jumps although number 5 did make me gasp a bit. Good recovery for both of you. He certainly didn't lose his confidence and was hell bent to finish the job. It doesn"t seem that long ago when you couldn't get around because of Ember's little antics. Great job everyone at Footluce Eventing. Buy the coach a glass of Rose.
Lucy that was a great improvement since last time . 31 dressage. S .j. sorry about the 4 folts still very good . X.c. well done for getting round the xc . Well sat when you went down the drop . It's so good seeing Justine there as moral support. Take care and all the best, AND look forward to your next edvencher. 😊😊😊👍👍👍💖💟
That was amazing Lucy!! Ember has come so far, Your partnership is really great! Ember loves to jump and being a pocket rocket 😄. Great Team behide you which is the best thing ever. Great video! xxxxx
😂 Loved ‘this is the part where I was screaming and thinking I was going to die’ ‘here’s the part where I was a sack of rubbish’ 😂 He is such a Ferrari and you sat that so well! Well done staying on, guiding him through, and completing his first 90!! Amazing job!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Ember was certainly feeling his friskies. You rode him well, it's not easy when his "go" button is engaged and he suddenly becomes "hard of hearing". The more your core strengthens the easier it will be. I alway found swimming really helped me. ❤ To all.
Wow. Ember has really become quite the eventer. Dressage was so much better than last time. Show jumping was good too except that he wants to run a little too much which I think might be the reason for the pole. He is a scopey boy but can get a little flat when he decides to run pell mell!! Cross country was awesome. The beginning was so nice! The rest was a little dicey but he was as game as could be. I'm sure your shoulders were sore trying to keep him a little under control! Overall the a great day! Hard to believe he has come so far! Kuddos to you (and Justine) for the consistency and hard work. Just wait till next year!
Lucy well done ,you have been working hard obviously behind the scenes, Huge congratulations .🎉🎉🎉I said I can’t when just about to deliver my first baby into the world you did and you can🤣🤣🤣you are soo brave ,he looked like he was settled in the middle as you say.😅phew I’m sweating just watching.👏👏👏👏Ember is stunning I have a red setter exactly the same red most beautiful colour.❤❤❤
As soon as I saw his eyes start shining and he threw his head up with excitement I knew it was going to get a bit dicey! You did a grand job of it. Whew!
Oh well done Lucy! Ember is such a strong chap and it turns out, has twinkle toes too! What a star - such a lot of progress. Always good to see Justine - hope her roast was ok. Again, well done and thanks for sharing.
Well ridden ma’am. That was a solid effort from you both. You should be proud and pleased. 👏👏 The gym…. That’s only way you gonna keep up with that firecracker. He’s so powerful and quick and agile. Very talented and smart boy Ember is. He loves a good challenge and I believe he enjoyed XC the most. Your SJ was your most consistent round yet… the pole was a shame. Justin is great as always and lovely see Rob on the support crew. Positive day 😁 and all before lunch time I might add 🤣🧡
Ember had a beautiful outline, particularly in the warm up. Just one obs. Rider’s shoulders leaning forward in front of the hip and from the hip, more so in the trot!! 😃
I cannot believe how Ember came off that step. lol. Kudos to you for staying on, You're so brave, Lucy, and Ember rocks! You two are going to be a super competitive team as Ember matures.
I feel bad but the chaos at the round of that XC made me chuckle 🤭 he was like ‘right I’ve got this far now it’s my time to take charge’ 😂 well done bet your chuffed!
The Equireel track is so clear and helpful. I don’t live in UK or compete but I can see how helpful it would be to someone doing what you do. The x-country round was so impressive - from where I sat you did a terrific job letting Ember be Ember whilst keeping yourself safe. Looking forward to seeing how you do at the next one.
Glad you mentioned about you being not physically fit. I wanted to recommend that you work on strengthening your core with your upper body. You keep forward too much after landing which encourages, especially 31:3131:31 with an ex-racehorse, Ember to speed up without rebalancing. By nature you are tall on him therefore you not being balanced definitely affects him. Sit up more, rebalance the both of you and he will feel more secure and hopefully he'll slow down a bit to listen to you. The both of you have come along way. You're definitely the bravest rider of the original 3 I've been following for the past 6 years. Love Simon & Justine also and really enjoy your vlogs! Stay safe. 💙🐎😎
Well done both of u!! He was epic and loving every second!! Just an observation, aren't u boiling in that fleece top done right up to the neck?? It's August!! 🤣🤣 Ooh and nearly forgot to say, Justine's top is great!! Love that!! 🤣❤️
kudos to Justine, Rob and Izzy for great teamwork! Well done for all of the hard work going into him prepping, I can't wait until he's jumping novice level!
Lucy and Justene, I hope you realise what an amazing job you’ve done with this darling little horse. It just seems like yesterday he was dragging Lucy around everywhere with his head in the air and no control with lucy looking petrified LOL honestly, in this video he looks so much more professional, maybe looks like a young green horse? It’s incredible the transformation in this beautiful little chestnut.
Can imagine Amber galloping on a hunt! Maybe not yet but he has the jump , speed, and keen combo in spades. You sure are a great stay on rider on this talented horse. Fortunate to have fearless Justine as trainer and friend!
Hahaha oh gosh, I know the "I can't!!!" feeling! It's why I started working out 5-6 times a week. And I even have the benefit of having an actual brake on my carriage but XC is just as exciting driving as it is riding for horses lol.
Me too
Justine's little face poking up from behind Ember is ✨everything✨ 0:13
Peekaboo 😂
What a lifeline Justine is to both Ember & yourself . She’s both your calm space and you can really see how much she cares about him & the horse he’s becoming ❤
This vlog made me smile so much . The transformation is amazing. From not being able to get him going and napping to not being able to stop. You smashed it !!!

I don't think anyone else could handle him so well. You're very strong & brave.
Both your faces when coming over that last fence in the SJ in slowmo had me in tears! You´ve worked so hard to come to this point! Well done!
My god my heart was in my mouth during that cross country. You are brave!
Lucy, I am amazed at how far you two have come, especially in your dressage test. He looks adjustable and was actively listening to you.
Well done Ember and Lucy for a great vlog. He did a great dressage and showjumping round. He certainly enjoyed his cross country round and you did brilliantly to survive the second half of the course. You are both stars 🌟 and Justine was fantastic so encouraging for you ❤
❤ Well done Lucy and Ember! 🎉
That was BIG for your first 90 Be event. 😮
Well done for finishing in the top 10 too! 🎉 😊 xOx
Wow... congratulations 🎊
Ember is fabulous and I'm sure next year you will be in the 1/1.10m classes! The bigger fences keep his attention... ❤❤❤
The improvement in you both is just huge! His show jumping round was lovely!! His jump has improved so much! He looked like a machine out cross country and certainly respected them being a bit bigger! Well done xx
I thought you and Ember did well in your first BE90, you both have improved massively and you and Justine should be so proud of him 🧡
Favourite vlog of the year 😅
That XC was hefty!! Well done 🎉
Cross country. Flipping heck. When he was going forward boy he made those fences look like there was nothing there. Just amazing.
He made an incredible recovery over that sticky moment at fence 5.
He did forget he was eventing and not racing for a moment didn’t he. 😬

Look at him go ! He was loving it. Well done that was fantastic and so fun to watch.

well done and Ember looks amazing, look at those knees and flying changes! Good job! you've come a long way!
The dressage warm up was the best I’ve seen him go, taking the contact, relaxed, longer steps in trot. 👏🏻
Showjumping was a joy to watch.( Never said that before!😂)
XCountry was also fabulous, until the end, but he’s SO brave.
Very good job Lucy. 💪🏼👍.
Amazing round Lucy!!! He’s made for this ⚡️⚡️⚡️
My goodness, he looks fantastic
You and Ember are super
Congratulations
I’ve loved following yours and Embers eventing journey and this event he looks like an eventer well done all your hard work is paying off. 💕
That showjumping round was great! Such a big improvement. The cross country looked lovely and controlled, until you got tired. Great job

That was entirely excellent!! Congrats Lucy, Great job!! 👏😁😄🥰❤️
Aw he's so clever but Holy fuck I would've shit my pants at the last fence 😂
Well I thought you did a really good job of that 🎉 watching him go round at the first few fences reminded me of William fox pit on charisma well done 🐎👍👍
Amazing progress, such a smooth Sj round. When you think back on all the napping he used to do. Massive achievement and great milestone. Well done

Brilliant Lucy - happy for you - it was a fantastic early morning outing - . Ember gave you an exciting ride. Lots learned definitely.
Lucy that was a great improvement since last time . 31 dressage. S .j. sorry about the 4 folts still very good . X.c. well done for getting round the xc . Well sat when you went down the drop . Lovely to watch again xx

Lovely smile and filming after the show jumping, well done. Justine is looking like a new woman, I think your friendship has been great for her!
Well done Lucy and ember, love the way he goes backwards through the start box, you ride him so well, I'd be terrified, x
Ember's jump has improved so much! and Lucy, you're so brave, I would be frozen in fear with that speed. He's like let's goooooo 🌪
Lucy well done ,you have been working hard obviously behind the scenes,

The roast was toast as Charlie turned the oven up !!!!
God knows why he barely knows where the knobs are 😅
Well ridden ma’am. That was a solid effort from you both. You should be proud and pleased. 👏👏 The gym…. That’s only way you gonna keep up with that firecracker. He’s so powerful and quick and agile. what a brilliant day out!! he looked super altogether, congrats! I will say, that equireel had me in stitches 🤣
i would love to do that course AT THE WALK with NO JUMPS! WOW the stamina you hae and clearly Ember was a freight train so powerful!
Ah Lucy he is absolutely mega!! What an absolute credit to you!! That dressage test ❤❤❤.xx
Ember is so talented! At the end he was like my Arab X across Country! I had very little brakes too! 😅
Nah Luce now your commentary on your equireel has finished me ‘omg I’m going to die’ 💀
Very well done you to. His little ers when hes jumping. You can just tell he's loving life. xx
The smile over the last in the show jumping 🥹
Quite a wild ride but top marks for Ember’s enthusiasm. He seems to love his new discipline

How lovely was that SJ round! Obvs the XC was also fabulous - maybe not so for you nearer the end ha ha!
Well done both of u!! He was epic and loving every second!! Just an observation, aren't u boiling in that fleece top done right up to the neck?? It's August!! 🤣🤣 Ooh and nearly forgot to say, Justine's top is great!! Love that!! 🤣❤️
Accuracy is so true I got a 71% on a test with a horse who refused to take a contact but because we were bang on on almost every movement we got 7s
17:17 I feel like this is just embers way of saying let’s get this going 🎉🎉🎉🎉it is party time 😂😂😂
kudos to Justine, Rob and Izzy for great teamwork! Well done for all of the hard work going into him prepping, I can't wait until he's jumping novice level!

Brilliant, he made them look easy xx
Yikes, watching Ember throw himself at fences makes me worried that one day you'll both have a bad fall, so close at 18:26
I thought you did a super job!! More makes you better and that horse is a ROCKET!! ❤❤
Well done to you and Ember
oh luce you two look incredible. he is mad!!
I love your exhausted aaarrrggghhhhhhh. He’s such a racehorse !
Can imagine Amber galloping on a hunt! Maybe not yet but he has the jump , speed, and keen combo in spades. You sure are a great stay on rider on this talented horse. Fortunate to have fearless Justine as trainer and friend!
It's Ember NOT Amber!
Well done both of you.
Well done Lucy!!

YOU LOOKED AMAZING ON YOUR LITTLE WILD MAN I dont know if i could have stayed on through that but my mare can be silly too
Well done!!
You are a brave woman
Starting to look really good. I thought you had a matching dressage saddle a couple of years ago?
Exciting :)
Ember is looking well. So nice to see Justine again. How is Laragh please?
I have a very strong horse xcountry, so i feel your pain
A behind the scenes video, plus show time.
Showjumping looked better😊
You are such a great rider Lucy like I love your confidence I really struggle with my jumping confidence can I ask if you have any advice ❤❤😊
Don’t overthink it
Ember is feeling his oats.. 😘
