Ember is so ridiculously athletic that he looks like he is skipping around, playing. If his exuberance can be directed, when he fully gets his new game, who knows what he'll do? Lovely horse, and well done Lucy!
Gosh, what a difference a year makes, especially in the show jumping section! A different horse to last year. You actually look in control now!!! He still gets so excited by the xcountry doesn't he? Maybe all that green grass reminds him of the racetrack. I too thought the fence Ember hit on xcountry was a lucky escape. I fully expected a tumble there, but he recovered himself beautifully. Your heart must have been in your mouth just then! Well done to both of you!
I've been watching you since before Ember...Congratulations on getting to see the improvements he's making. I knew you guys could do it, and it's awesome to get to see you arrive at this point in your work with him. He is NOT an easy horse to ride, but you have done an incredible job with him. You should be proud of yourself and him!!!😊❣️
Lucy Ember is looking so good when he was stood in the box and on the warm up well done to you for all the love and care you give all your horses. And so nice to see Rob supporting you and Ember....
Congratulations, Lucy, you both did brilliantly 🎉 What a difference now from when you first got Ember. The dressage was harshly scored, but take the positives. Ember looks stunning & created a beautiful picture, with relaxation & ability. I think in the showjumping and cross-country, Ember just misread both the jumps he 'tangled with'. He is so scopey, Lucy. You have a real gem there & all your hard work is paying off. A shout out to your excellent assistant. I think it's great to see family & partners supporting Eventers. A shout out too to Justine & credit for her training & support. You should feel really proud of yourself Lucy👏👏👏
So much improvement in the SJ. As you say, he has all the scope and ability in his jumping. Just needs to work on a more relaxing style XC. How cool are you?......recovering from that knock at fence 13, and a casual comment to Rob as you go by......very classy. 😊
Lucy I can't believe what was the same horse . He looks so much better, IT just shows all the trianing and lessons you've had have payed of . Wow you must be SO happy with his show jumping . 😊😊👍👍 that was quiet a good x.c. apert from the flower pot fences. Good luck with all you do. Thank you for sharing your day. Thank you Rob for going and giving Lucy some moral support. 👍👍👍👍👍😄😄
Aw well done Ember! Missed you Justine, but nice work Rob 😉 Really well done Lucy, you should be super proud of your progress. Look forward to Blenheim x
Aww so adore Ember. He is like a different horse from last year and although he is exuberant in the cross country he is enjoying himself and I think he will calm down with more experience and he can certainly jump so scopey. Roll on the next event ❤❤❤
What an absolute star for him to jump that xc fence when he lost his footing before it. He's always full of running when xc he must kill your arms haha x
i literally cannot explain the joy that watching you bring this horse along has brought me. you have made him into an amazing jumper whos actually starting to use his body correctly and its spectacular! bravo
He truly looked a different horse today, honestly. He looked just beautiful. On the cross country, seriously he made the fences look tiny. Close call at 13 but that was his bad. Dressage score was savage. Hmmmm. 😡. He looked so relaxed. Showjumping - that was him I think. Bit lazy on that. And you’ve got a frilly. Well done. Keep going. What ever your doing it is working. Good luck at Blenheim. 🎉🎉🎉
Lucy you are an incredible horse woman so brave, huge congratulations, please be mindful how much we all care about you,I nearly peed myself at that dodgy fence.😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Honestly I don’t know how you could be happier (ok the pole) but I was amazed. Maybe that’s why we both felt a little underwhelmed with dressage score. I can be critical but it is hard when I know the backstory. I thought Ember was so relaxed. You are right about his canter. How lovely! Cross country! whew! I know it was over the time but that is really not the big concern. We know he is fast but like in show jumping the ride ability is there and when he is just moving along at a gallop-he is breathtaking. Amazing job! The last year this year comparison was wonderful
Big improvements, dressage you had a hard marking judge he did did wander on centre line into halt . Showjumping a big step up , XC very bold , you both got a bit rattled after the miss read jump 8 ? All in all great going , Ember is a sensitive soul & feeds off everything you are feeling at the time , the more you do the better he’ll be - he’s a great little man - athletic & all the hard work will pay off in end , onwards & upwards 🤩🤩
Well done Lucy and Ember! Lucy, I think your dressage test was judged harshly. You deserved better than a 36. Ember 's transformation is amazing and you should feel so proud of yourself and him. He's a proper event horse and most importantly of all, he clearly loves his job.
So good to see you using leg to hand in the show jumping, the improvement is unbelievable this past year, and his attitude for life is just so transformed, he is so much happier and so are you.. The vibe is great all round, trainer boyfriend everything is going well, keep making those baby steps and keep loving Ember he is the most special horse.. hope his leg was OK after that Knock the next day BRavO
Dressage judge was all about the contact, and not much else, which was a pity! SJ fantastic, such an improvement. 👏🏻. Am sure the XCountry will improve with outings, but he’s so brave. Well done Lucy. 👍.
Again your show jumping is just getting better and better!! His shape and scope is really coming out now! The dressage is improving lots too and the xc is just a case of ironing out the kinks but he’s so brave and you look so confident which is lovely to see xx
I shall comment well done to both you and Ember 👏😁🥰 he's very much not being a hobby horse 😄 he's listening better too yaaaaay and did a great job recovering from the bobble, you were never near to coming off 😄🥰❤
Well ridden Lucy, Ember is a smart cookie you two are making a great team. He will settle down and your right do more cantering with him. I love him and Rob is a sweetheart keep him lol.tfs🤗🏇🤗
Both of you did extremely well and he is beginning now to settling into a rhythm - training is going in the right direction.

GO EMBER GO. Great job Team Ember. Charlie and Justine will be proud. You"ve come such a long way Lucy and your riding is improving all the time. Hang on to Rob he"s a keeper.
Well done, I'm pleased for you. That wonky jump in the cross country illustrates how athletic Ember is, many others would have fallen in that situation.
Very well done, Lucy! Dressage and fences were lovely (such a massive improvement), scary moment at 13 on XC, but you rode it very well. A very good day for you both. Keep at it! 😊❤️🐴
Dressage judge was a bit harsh I think, show jumping he's a different horse from last year, he is rideable and you can see how much work you have put in! Cross-country his enthusiasm is great, bit of a workout for you! I think he will get there, he was like that show jumping last year, so it will come 😉 I mean, wide open grass, jumps, his racing brain takes over a bit, he's like yay lets go! 😂 well done to you, and also he looks an absolute picture ❤
I can't help wondering how far Ember can go?? He's got so much scope and talent!!! I must admit that I didn't understand why you chose that little red fireball in the beginning...... but that is all clear now!!! ❤🌟❤ What a horse!!! Beeing able to ride him is quite a task though, so impressed by you too!!!
I thought that was fab! He's looking amazing and it's really all coming together. A couple of minor setbacks and a strict (but fair) judge, but who cares about that small stuff?! You two are coming along beautifully in all 3 phases. The juxtaposition against last years footage really demonstrated massive growth and improvement from last year. Congratulations! (Also, love the, "Keep going Babe," at the combo! Love the supportive and helpful "Advisor.")
So much improvement Lucy, the dressage judge was accurate but look how far you have come!! The judge can only judge what they see on the day they don't know the progress you have made to get to that x Ember is so lucky he found you and Justine not many would be able to wrangle such an athletic spirit... so much more to come from him. he reminds me a lot of my mare in attitude and stature. he should be a mare really with that spirit lol
That show jumping course was amazing! So was the dressage! The judges sadly don't know how far we've come from where we started. If only we could show them some earlier footage!!
I think the dressage judge was way off!!! I think he did well, (having a bad day for the judge)!!!! Ive watched since before Ember, and I've said before I love the commitment from you, its been truly amazing, most people would have given up, but with hard work and sticking at it, Ember has come such a big way!!! Hes AMAZING, you look terrific together, congratulations.
This little horse has real talent and he clearly enjoys his new job. The dressage judge was a bit hard on you. Your score didnt reflect some of the really lovely work and his "expression." His showjumping has vastly improved. He's now more relaxed and making a shape. Make a mental note that you thought you would have fence 2 down and you had it down. Self'-,fulfilling prophecy? A beast cross the country and he enjoyed it. Even small horses go far in this sport if they have big hearts. Ember has a big heart. Looking forward to seeing what next seaon brings.
He's becoming so relaxed and rideable in dressage and show jumping. And he's soo exciting to watch in XC. Those occasional silly decisions he makes will continue to improve as he gains more experience. Congratulations!
What a difference! Out of interest, away from training, what has changed between the first jumping video and most recent tack wise. Bit and noseband change?
Not sure what your dressage judge was watching! Harsh scoring for a really nice test. You really need to consider a martingale though, XC was painful to watch!
This isn't in anyway meant as a negative comment, just a pure observation from looking at the video. Maybe see if you can get his right hind checked out, it looks (and that is based on it being on grass) if he is struggling to pull right hind through as much as left and a little stiffer. Maybe helping to contribute to some of of the slight difficulties you noted on the transition. Watch it back especially where you get a view on the short side. See if you notice the same. He ever so slightly doesn't lift quite as much, just a pure armature observation based on watching my own and picking up on things so please no hate on the comment. Meant as a genuine observation and probably wrong. 🙂
Ember is so ridiculously athletic that he looks like he is skipping around, playing. If his exuberance can be directed, when he fully gets his new game, who knows what he'll do? Lovely horse, and well done Lucy!

Ember is looking fantastic!!! ❤

Thought the dressage was better than the score. Good job.
I agree. Seems the judge was excessively strict.
That’s truly incredible. Going to her knees like that. What a fabulous mare❤️❤️❤️
So much improvement in the SJ. As you say, he has all the scope and ability in his jumping. Just needs to work on a more relaxing style XC. How cool are you?......recovering from that knock at fence 13, and a casual comment to Rob as you go by......very classy. 😊

I loved how relaxed Ember was in the warm up and the test. He is so cool and you have worked so hard with him the improvement is amazing.
Aw well done Ember!
Missed you Justine, but nice work Rob 😉
Really well done Lucy, you should be super proud of your progress. Look forward to Blenheim x
Well Done Lucy and Ember!!! Ember has inproved so much, Hes looking really good! xxxx
I've got a soft spot for Ember!. What a power house ❤❤

Amazing! Such a difference in a year! Rob’s little ‘keep going babe’ comment when you had that dodgy jump made me smile - how lovely he is ❤
He truly looked a different horse today, honestly. He looked just beautiful. On the cross country, seriously he made the fences look tiny. Close call at 13 but that was his bad.

WOW!! What a HUGE difference. Ember looked so much more relaxed & collected. NICE!! Goes to show what time & consistency of training can do
Honestly I don’t know how you could be happier (ok the pole) but I was amazed. Maybe that’s why we both felt a little underwhelmed with dressage score. Excellent result, dressage judging was harsh, but Ember has one hell of an engine and super springs in his hooves, well ridden 🎉xx
This was so lovely to watch ❤ just loving your journey.
Great riding over 13!
Big improvements, dressage you had a hard marking judge he did did wander on centre line into halt . Showjumping a big step up , XC very bold , you both got a bit rattled after the miss read jump 8 ? loved the saddle club intro😂😂
Impressive. Ember has come a long way. He was so relaxed in the dressage. Good for you!!

Top 10 is great Lucy. So much improvement, well done. What a clonk at number 13! X
You did it. You should be super proud. So well donec🐴💜🐴
I shall comment well done to both you and Ember 👏😁🥰 he's very much not being a hobby horse 😄 he's listening better too yaaaaay and did a great job recovering from the bobble, you were never near to coming off 😄🥰❤

I love your eventing vlogs. Thank you! Well done Ember 🙌
He is so expressive 😘
Both of you did extremely well and he is beginning now to settling into a rhythm - training is going in the right direction.
GO EMBER GO. Great job Team Ember. Charlie and Justine will be proud. You"ve come such a long way Lucy and your riding is improving all the time. Hang on to Rob he"s a keeper.
So much improved!😊 Amber even seems to be a bit bored with it all now. He really has relaxed, very happy , good training 😊!
Ember looks superb, such a glossy coat , and so fit , all credit to you, well done x
Great job to both of you! I think both the SJ and XC look light years better; 🎉even if the XC didn’t feel as great to you, it still looked good!
Keep at it! 😊❤️🐴
Ember is my favourite Thoroughbred on RUclips.
It’s so much fun to see how well you & Ember are doing. The improvement is amazing!
Dressage judge was a bit harsh I think, show jumping he's a different horse from last year, he is rideable and you can see how much work you have put in! SO much improvement! The on!y thing that helps, with the environment situation is repeated exposure, so you're already working on it!!
Ember is so fit now. You did great.
How good was he xcountry!! Found his 5th leg for sure!! And so relaxed!!
Seems like he wants to be a show jumper 😂 he looks amazing!
Congratulations 🎉 you ride him so well as he doesn't look easy and u can definitely see the improvement from last year .....and well sat too😂
I thought that was fab! He's looking amazing and it's really all coming together. A couple of minor setbacks and a strict (but fair) judge, but who cares about that small stuff?! You did really well! Especially being as it seems Epworth have upped the difficulty of their courses recently! You should be super proud
Great work!! Ember just keeps getting better ❤
It’s so inspiring to see you both progress in your partnership (you and Ember to be clear)
Your dressage was really improved. Well done!!!❤
Well done Lucy and Ember! 🤩
You guys looked so good! Tough judge, I thought Ember looked super in your test.

Dressage judge was a little harsh I thought, but then we’ve seen the progression whereas that judge hasn’t. Huge well done, what a difference 😍
I’m picturing Justine choking up watching this. 😢 Well done Lucy and Ember.
Well Done Both 🏇👍👌👏XX
🎉 congratulations 👏
Well done to you and Ember
You stayed on at jump 13 because you are well balanced. Great job.
Named that Tune: Hello World from the saddle Club !!
Ember adores you so Lucy 🤍
wow Lucy he's a different horse❤
Hello Lucy and Rob And Ember 😘
Amber looks great.
Ember is special 😘
Lilpets. Wonderful.
Well done😊
Not the saddle club intro 😂
I would say the judges comments were accurate however the marks were pretty harsh-I thought it was a lovely test 🥰
Good job!
Well done
maybe a saddle club watching date night is on the cards hahaha
I think the dressage judge was way off!!! I think he did well, (having a bad day for the judge)!!!!
