    AN UPDATE: Argonia has signed on a few new composers as a result of this video! So for now, Argonia is all set for composers, and we will be beginning to produce our official soundtrack soon. We are still looking for sound designers for atmosphere sounds and SFX, as well as animators, 3D and 2D artists too of course. so if you are interested, please apply to Argonia using the link in the description! • @Moloney_Media
      @Moloney_Media Год назад +17

      Argonia has many different biomes. This area is in the highlands near the Valus Mountains. We won't be replacing the trees here with other ones. You will find more swampy areas in other parts of Argonia. Not all of Argonia is a swamp you know

    • @monsieurdorgat6864
      @monsieurdorgat6864 Год назад +4

      @@Moloney_Media Good to know! Honestly, so little has been said about Argonia, so I wouldn't really know what's there beyond swamp. Variety is good, though!
      I think I was mostly tricked by the fog - the thick fog made me think it was a more lowland area. Now that you've cleared up where this is, though, everything makes a lot more sense!
      Are there going to be everglades towards the coast? That would be kewl 😋 I feel like, more than biome or climate, Argonia would really benefit from having copious water be a central theme to all its regions, and even in its dungeons/caves. Argonian characters of course would benefit because they can breathe water, and it seems like Tamriel's geography is set up to drain most of its water towards Black Marsh. Might be a worthwhile aesthetic touch, even in more highland areas like this one with a cooler climate

      Argonia, Elsweyr and Morrowind could be taken as the more Middle East/SouthEast Asia equivalent of Tamriel. That said, outside of Morrowind the other two provinces have been only shown in Elder Scrolls Online so the cultures may not be 100% representative of the canon, specially seeing that Beyond Skyrim is the 4th Era while ESO is 2nd Era. lots of things could have happened during that time. Still, i'd say the climate of Black Marsh really conveys something like the SouthEast Asian jungles, most of the time people do analogues to Mesoamerica(cause Lizardmen in Warhammer) but the Amazon and the Central American jungles are not as marshy. If anything the Argonians seem to live in a place more similar to Florida but ehhhhh

    Argonia could be my most anticipated region. I think because it's probably the most different to Skyrim! Not a snowflake in sight! Instead you have heavy, humid weathers. Water everywhere and green and mosses all around with the giant trees of course. Skyrim has a swampy region but that's more of a bog considering it's still cold.
    Of course, this probably makes Argonia one of the most difficult regions to mod! Since you can't use any Skyrim assets. That said, this looks phenomenal and I'm so exited for it.
    I know the music isn't the actual music, but the use of tribal drums as the base sound is a great idea and really sets the pace during encounters. Those giant snails took me by surprise but of course having those makes sense! Also I took note that the skeletons are all argonians, which again just makes sense. Phenomenal progress!

      The teams usually put together a big Tamriel-wide overhead map in December to show any landscape changes done over the last year.
      Assuming we do that again this year, don't expect a lot of readily apparently changes to Argonia. The focus of our 3D team this year has been primarily on new Dungeon tilesets, new clutter, and on harvestables. Our LD team has likewise been focused on Second Pass refinements to existing landscapes and dungeon creation. So there hasn't been much push into new areas of Argonia.

      @@Reedstilt I understand that, I just really love how majestic that map looks, and maybe we'll get to see a glimpse of Valenwood or Summerset (on the map I got they're just placeholders). It allows to truly appreciate the greatness of this project, I wish you all the luck 🙏

    8:00 Spear animation should be sped up greatly. The purpose of most spears is to be an light weight and very fast jabbing weapon. But the wind up and slow speed makes it look like the character is trying to use a battering ram in combat.

    Honestly I’m looking forward to the Beyond Skyrim project. If I can ever figure out why my save files kept on crashing when I tried to get Inigo I’ll download these mods alongside the follower mods (Inigo, Lucifer, Xelxaz, Khash, Kaidan, Lucien Flavius etc) so I can explore their homelands with them. I really want to explore Elsweyr with Inigo and learn more about Lucifer, Xelxaz and Khash’s pasts and maybe take part in the traditions of Cyrodiil. Also I have a question. Will there be festivals implemented in the mods?

    • @Reedstilt
      @Reedstilt Год назад

      Just remember these followers aren't part of Beyond Skyrim, so there will likely be some contradictions in lore. I think Xelxaz mentions some stuff about Thorn that doesn't match our version (or is it Lucifer that's from Thorn?).
