@@deadsoul7409 Skyrim Together is a cool mod that lets you play the game with your friends, but it is notoriously hard to get working and at its best requires you to limit how you play in order to keep bugs from arising. Didn't stop me though, I played a whole campaign with my D&D buddies. Other than the murder hobo'ing it was my most immersive playthrough yet and it was totally Vanilla other than Together. Funny enough, it's also the only time my Skyrim has crashed from a mod that I installed properly in years. Even still, it's impressive tech and worth a try if you're smarter than the average bear and can read instructions.
This is clearly the funniest of the bunch and I wouldn't have it any other way XD Can't wait to see high rock, been wanting to play a breton exploring it since forever, and I'm sure it's gonna be a lot of fun.

@@branflakes12341 Should try looking at the backgrounds more. They showed several areas and quite a few interiors. They just didn't focus on them. Overall, the stuff that was shown (again, in the backgrounds) was quite polished

I’m thinking of joining the arcane university. I’ve been going through some stuff and I feel like I need a project lol. I haven’t modded Skyrim in a long time and when I did it was self taught and not very good. I wish to change that. Iliac Bay and Morrowind have excited me a great deal and I want to help out in whatever way I can, even if it ends up being navmeshing lol.
Navmeshing is a noble and calming task. In a way, I miss it; I did a bit of Skywind's exterior navmeshing and the pride I feel to say I helped out with the project will always have been a great reward. Do it man. It's only a hop skip and jump away, then you'll be able to say you helped make Beyond Skyrim!
I joined the AU a few years ago after seeing that years modcon, now I'm doing level design for the BS cyrodill team. If you have the time, you can do it!

I died laughing when I first saw that book. Our level design lead asked me if we had finished prayer books, which we do, so I assumed they'd just put one in. And then THAT is what shows up in-game
I'm getting Diablo 2 Act 2 vibes. I want to slay some mummies and giant scarabs and stuff so bad. OMG mummy hyenas?! What's amazing is that it doesn't look at all like Skyrim the province, and that's so refreshing.
@@tj-co9go Oh, definitely. Tho we don't have voice acting yet I think we showed a decent amount of the name slates that pop up during dialogue. Ruutahmur is one of my favorite characters, a yoku witchmother who speaks quite a bit of the yoku conlang. There'll be plenty of context clues for the yoku bits, but you'll def have to pay attention when talking to her.
@@arcaneimpact Great! Whatever you do, I hope it is interesting and exciting and funny and different from normal. The stories and quests and dialgue. Inside jokes and references are fine but they must be tactful, game should be fun even if you don't watch anime or know Greco-Roman mythology or whatever.
oh yeah, don't expect any of the jokes from this video to make it into the final product. Our end goal is to hit a tone fairly close to skyrim. Serious on the surface but with funny bits and references tucked away for those who notice.

@@crowverra5343 Yeah! We plan to have non-hostile goblins living in Orsinium. It was canon that they lived in first orsinium at least, and we think it'd be fun to explore that. Of course Orsinium is a while away. We did just get in Gremlins tho, thanks to Mihail's awesome mod. And we plan to flesh them out a bit and show a little of what they get up to in goblin society. I'm not sure about mudcrab chitin but I'd think that's be in morrowind, if anything.

It is absolutely doable. However Beyond Skyrim touches the original Skyrim as little as possible to maintain the best possible compatibility with other mods.
This has been my most hyped BS project since the walk around years ago. I hope we can see more High Rock specific content. What we see here appears very vanilla Skyrim, which to me seems like a contrast to what was being shown in the past prior to the height map redesign.
A lot of what was shown prior to the heightmap reset was biome tests using placeholder assets, the reason it looks more like vanilla Skyrim now is because they haven’t been showing off biome tests, just the border kingdoms of Jehanna and Farrun, they want to avoid showcasing anything with placeholder assets
@@Barmaglott17 Yeah, that's what I find so unfortunate tbh. Their ability to try and reintegrate the complex High Rock stuff into a cohesive 3D game is what really gave Beyond Skyrim it's credibility to me back in the day (Along with Bruma of course)
Beyond Skyrim doesn't, but a bunch of individual devs have similar stuff. InternetFishy does twitch streams, and I have D&D content up on DMSGuild you can pay me for. After the response to this I'm thinking of doing more youtube stuff pretty soon. Might do patreon if that goes well.

But if that's not your preference, just spreading the word is helpful! You could also boost the discord server, I think that gives us some minor benefits like keeping our animated server logo.

Those same people are now adults with jobs and families or university students. They don’t really get time to spare playing video games. 2) Concerns. When a game takes too long in development, it’s usually not a good sign. Scope creep comes in. And BS isn’t just a single project. It’s a massive undertaking involving different teams. Add to the fact that modders are also people with full time jobs and are doing all of this for free (extremely commendable), it’s very likely that a lot of them may leave the project for various reasons as time takes its course.

A lot of the areas keep showing a lot of progress as you can see from the daily video releases. Get your concerns over to bethesda not showing anything about TES6 for years.
I really really enjoyed Beyond Skyrim Bruma! And I am thrilled to know there are more areas coming. Though I have say this with all seriousness, its disappointing that the Beyond Skyrim teams are spread so thin over so many projects instead of first working on a zone to finish it and then moving to the next.
Bs is not one Team we are many different teams which bound together . The idea is nice but some devs are just not interessted in a specific Region. Which does not mean that we not help each other out
