I like this band. I would go see them if they came to Balt/DC area. When I first saw the name, I immediately thought of "Music from Big Pink," the debut studio album by the Band. released in 1968. I wonder if there is any connection.

KROQ used to be like this. Its when there was only one music category for this stuff and it was called Alternative. Now there's a million genres. But I'll be honest...I kind of like this stuff being non main stream. Its like those who really love music will do the work to find the good music. Let the sheepish music entertain the masses.
I'm just curious, why do some of these in studio events/mini-concerts sound so good, and some sound like a muted, tangled rackety mess? I can't think it's that much about the musicians and singers. Or is it?
They sound rocking! I actually thought Future This is the stronger album compared to History there Robbie. The band with the bass player makes them rock hard. My one wish would be to get those sour vocals a bit more in tune, you guys are flat sometimes which sours it. Smile a bit and the flat notes will get in tune-an old time trick! Keep rocking guys!
Ugh. Sounded, to me, like a lot of purposeless noise without melody, breathy hooting, and sort of barking vocals. Lots of constant steady loud purposeless noise just, apparently, for the sake of being noisy. It's like trying to hear a song while standing next to railroad tracks while a train is going by. And then when you strain and hear it, it's just a man making little yelpy doggy sounds with his voice in the same pitch every few seconds without melody, and you can't hear the words either. Nor do you really want to. Where's Cheryl Waters with the creative music?
Not related to the other commenter, I will admit to agreeing with you at first. The first 2 songs are not my kind tbh. I did get to the song right after the interview and the "EEEEEEE" became sort of entrancing. That's my two cents

Next week you might hear your new favoritte band, thanks to KEXP. I love only 2-3% of the music they play, but its here i find the gems from time to time, and others may not like them, but for me they mean sooo much. Kexp gave me Anna von Hauswolff, Vök, chealsea wolfe, kultur shock, gogol Bordello, samaris, and so many others, so keep it up KEXP
