He needs to not do that. If the coaches aren't trying to coach them out of that, that's a problem. If they are, then this is squarely on him.

No, Williams should not be benched. Let's be honest here. The Bears are not good at developing quarterbacks. Nearly 30 different men have started as quarterback for a Bears game since 2000. Look it up. This includes "long" term quarterbacks such as Cutler, Grossman, Trubisky, Fields, Orton. For a variety of reasons they just are not good at developing quarterbacks. The Bears need a new coaching staff that will focus on developing Williams and getting him an O-line to help block better and improve the running game.

The word talent for Quarterback is just such an oddity of a way to describe it. Like they say Caleb has all this talent but what really is it. Someone please explain. What if Bagent is actually a better passer. They turn around and say Caleb is not all the accurate. Then so where is the talent if that is the case. Then it's not like he is even that good of a runner. Fields ran so much better and made way crazier plays. He could take that rock to the house. I don't think Caleb could do that unless he had to perfect situation where about 15 other QBs could do if given the same opportunity. Going back to talent. Would we consider Tom Brady a talented QB. What is talent at the QB position?? Caleb needs to show it in the NFL. He has not really so far. He's played decent. But now starting to play poorly. This whole this is outrageous. I've been watching the Bears for 30 years. Caleb is by far the best natural talent that we've seen come to the Bears at that position in that time. And he has shown flashes of that this season. But we're so desperate for a QB NOW that he was going to have to be the best ever QB in his Rookie year that the league has ever seen. Remember, Payton Mannings first year. Awful. Caleb hasn't thrown many picks. He hasn't given games away. Sure, he hasn't been explosive and it's easy to look at other QBs and go, well why isn't he playing like Daniels. He's not playing like Bryce Young. He's 10x the player Bryce is. He needs a line that will help him and a OC that gets him learning the details and guys open. He's made some special plays this year. Don't forget that. And he will do again. And if veteran players who haven't achieved much in the game in terms of team success (DJ Moore, Keenan Allen) are trying to get him benched - then they need benching themselves. That ain't leadership. That's being selfish. Help each other. Don't quit.

He said the team is bringing him in to shift to a passing game (shot at JF1). He walked into the best situation for a #1 pick in the history of NFL. He said he will throw for 4,000 yards in his first year. He was guaranteed to make Bears instantly better than where they were with JF1 who had half the team. And his attitude doesn't go well with the veterans, which has disrupted the locker room. So, please don't use the rookie excuse now. It's only for kids who know the difference between PAC 12 and NFL, are blessed to be drafted, respect team veterans, don't talk trash, and want to learn and put in the effort.

Bryce Young is matching Caleb's completion % with half the team. Will Levis, Minshew, Andy Dalton, Flacco, and Drake Maye are doing better in less pocket time for inferior teams.
