It is such a joy to watch your videos! The music you select is captivating and compliments the beauty of your art. Thank you for sharing your talent of FMQ! I’m still learning, you’re an inspiration!
Thank you so much. I don’t know if it was intensional, but your curved line seemed to come in at the intersection of each block. Then the feather would intersect within the curve of the spine. No chalk lines! Brilliant! Liberating. Thanks!
Absolutely beautiful!!! I love reviewing your feathers before I start my latest feathers using my domestic machine but mimicking your style. Mine look good, too. Thank you so much for making & sharing your video!!!
Wow! Fantastic, wonderful quilting 📍❣️ and the music 🎶brings much inspiration to quilting practice. Love to sewing or stitching or quilting listen to the classics musical. 😍💛👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻thanks a bunch. Bravo bravíssimo ❣️🎶
That is amazing- I am currently working on my first quilt, and am sort of dreading the finishing work. I bought a Juki and have yet to practice. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you so much for this video! I was amazed by how beautiful this is! I watched it a few times and was able to replicate the technique fairly easily. This is just great!
Merci, un grand merci pour ces magnifiques images ... et musique qui transmet toute votre passion... it's so beautiful to watch you... une admiratrice de Paris (France)
One time when you have a minute could you talk or show us how you plan a feather spine it looks random but when I attempt a meander I definitely am not planning it properly
Question, it looks like you were able to get the whole border in one pass (without advancing the quilt on the frame) but how do you do the outside border of a large quilt. What I'm asking is: A) Do you only advance the quilt and do that section of feather (spine and both sides of feather) and then advance quilt on frame and work the next or B) do you quilt spine and keep advancing quilt to complete the entire spine and then roll back and start one side of feathers and keep advancing working that same side and then roll back and work the other side the same way? Basically would you do it in pieces or all together advancing and rolling back the quilt on the frame? (hope that makes sense).
I am just learning - and loving every minute of practice and your videos that inspire each practice session. Question: How wide is this border? Could you do this on a 3 inch border or would there not be enough curve to get the flowing look?
beautiful work! I can't tell how big your quilt is but my question is,,,,, how do you quilt that boarder without advancing the quilt under the long arm? I'm new to using a long arm. just wondering!
Girl, you have talent. I just purchased a Juki ddl 8700, straight stitch only, I love it...just found out if I lower my feed dogs, I can do free motion quilting on it. I would love to do the work you do but have you always only used the longarm or did you ever try an industrial sewing machine for that great quilting? Thanks, Tammy
Thank you for taping this video! I struggle with my feathers and after watching think I've finally figured out why!!! Quick question. At approximately 11:36 you backtrace to a previous feather - why? It turns out beautiful but what was it that made you go back and re-sew the line to the stem?
Thank you for your lovely video it helps me so much :)) I would to know if you use a special foot for your longarm ? do you use a special program on your longarm for the precision like cruise or other ? Thank you so much A fan from France ;)
There's no special foot. All my work is freehand. There are 2 settings that i use, constant or regulated. Just depends on what im working on. Thanks so much!
I just bought a longarm and eagerly awaiting it's arrival and set up. I came across your tutorials and am absolutely learning so very much. I am tracing the feathering on a piece of paper as your are quilting. Do you teach at retreats?
Lovely, but next time consider a higher loft batting. Some of this quilting would have so much more impact with a higher loft. With ❤ from sunny 🌅 Arizona 🌵
Adria, Your work is simply amazing!! I have a gammill Vision as well. I was wondering if you have ever quilted on a quilt made out of a wedding dress? With satin material? I was wondering what thread you might use on satin? I watch you videos each week!!Truly appreciate any advice you might have and keep posting your videos. Ever think about giving a class? Have great day!!
I know this will sound goofy, but to see this from Adria’s perspective, I have turned my iPad screen upside down. She is behind the handles looking forward...is that right?
Beautiful feathers - and the 1812 to accompany it. Double delight for me!

Brilliant! Liberating. Thanks!
Yes, I used the piecing to space out my spine, so I didn't have to mark anything ☺️💗💗💗💗
Beautiful feathers.
Such a beautiful feather quilting video!! I love it!! ❤️

I've only used longarm for free motion. Check out Red Bird Quilt Co. She does amazing free motion on a domestic machine!
Looks effortless and I know it’s not. Beautiful 😊 May I ask what machine you use?
Gammill 😊👍
Wow 👌👌👌
Super!!!!!
Thanks for sharing....off to the machine.

The feather plume i had quilted didn't quite touch the one before it. So I went back over it to fix it :)
fantastivco..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for your lovely video it helps me so much :)) I would to know if you use a special foot for your longarm ? do you use a special program on your longarm for the precision like cruise or other ? Thank you so much

Can you show how you made the swirl circle feather in the middle of this quilt?
I'll have 3 feather courses coming out this year😊💜😊💜😊💜😊💜
I just bought a longarm and eagerly awaiting it's arrival and set up. I came across your tutorials and am absolutely learning so very much. I am tracing the feathering on a piece of paper as your are quilting. Do you teach at retreats?

In this video you are seeing it from my perspective. In my newer videos my camera is behind the needle looking toward the front of the machine😊👍
Красота!!
Thank You!
I could not do this "freehand" so to speak. I have to have a pattern to follow. I definitely need to practice more!
Why did you not stitch in the ditch before doing your feathers? Just curious, because I would have done that and may need to know something here.
Sometimes I do. No reason really.
Elizabeth Hall Thank you for such a great teaching video
Elizabeth Hall a
💥💥💥👏👏👏
What kind of long arm do you have?
Gammill vision non- computerized
Amazing
I have tried to make these feathers but can't.
I'll be creating a Longarm online course all about Feathers in January 2022☺️☺️
Love this! Where is the music from?
The music is 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky
Very smooth quilting, love the music, how about some Vivaldi?
Thank You!
Com essa musica ate emociona
Just what I wanted but I couldn’t take the loud music.
Just beautiful!
