Very nice video! I have trouble doing feathers that I like... and particularly don't like the backtracking look. I CAN echo however, so this video gives me "permission" to use a technique I can do!! THANKS. Looking forward to more.
Bonnie Moothart , I'm so glad this route may work for you. I'm going to make a video (hopefully within this next month) of a complex stacked feather and I'll make sure to show part of it as a hook type feather so that you can even expand your options. Take care!
Hi,,,I am total new at long arm. Got one for Christmas 2018 .I am trying and trying. I know it take practice and practice. Question.....when quilting....what do you really watching as you quilting......needle, thread in punching through or the metal circle around the needle. I thought it was the circle, so that I would not ran over the thread on cloth again. Hope this make sense. Thank you. Love your work, beautiful.
Cat, everyone is a little different, but what I do is look slightly ahead of where I plan on going. That way, it’s more like you’re driving a car. Also I portent is for you to slow down as you get ready to change directions. If you watch closely, you’ll see me slow down as I start the tip of the feather. That way, your can control the momentum of the machine better and that will improve your accuracy. Give both of those things a try and I’m hoping they will make things better. Most of all, have fun and do t be hard on yourself....this is a journey!!
Becky Campbell , if you find threadworks factory on Facebook and follow it, you should be able to share anything there. I hope that works for you! Take care.

I’m going to do this on my domestic machine, do you sew side ways, or bottom to top vertical.
