@@muffemod the thing about the AR design is that it's very familiar and firearm engineers put that into perspective when designing stuff, and the AR charging handle is familiar enough for a lot of users and eventually, troops, that they no longer have to change the design so as not to mess with the manual of arms. Thanks Lucas! I've spent a lot of money on ammo and training for my 11 year old son since he has been watching your run and gun videos 4 months ago, my son would love to meet you.
I like your general silhouette option with the shorter barrels, full-cover freefloat that's front-heavy with lighting, forward-placed optic and the flash hider peeping out. All battleworn with experience. Function is the best form.
I love the idea of this kind of training.. The MOST unrealistic part is that the targets don't shoot back (not a bad thing) but this would be so much harder in real life.. That's why Lucas teaches more than anything... Because that's where it's most important.
I have been to a lot of ranges...A LOT. That is the sickest range I have ever seen...on grass with the railroad ties. I am going to build a range like that...honestly never would have thought to do this but it does beg the question...who goes on all the "brass hunts."
@@kentuckybeararms If you had a bunch of free time, a range like that, and alot of money, you'd be surprised at what you can do. Assuming you're in decent shape.
You're rifle is heautiful! Just throwing that out there, a little wierd I know but I have been looking for my next ar 15 I want to buy and when I saw yours I absolutely fell in love. Especially the stock is such a nice change compared to the factory one, the OD green paint is just beautiful. The stubby grip, everything just fits and is perfect. Now that I've done the research and watched your video I will undoubtedly buy an mcx. Also I love your videos just btw, how you film them, the parts where you talk actually keep me intrested and don't want me to just click away and even the green and white lettering on the video picture that I see in my youtube feed is so unique and just simply cool. Thank you for everything you do and keep on doing what you're doing. -Sincerely, a thankful fan
Hey Lucas, you should do a video on recoil management for a rifle. I have an annoying problem when I shoot, the muzzle always jumps to the right or left due to my using a thumb over grip. A video on this from someone who actually knows how to shoot would be greatly appreciated.
I know this is a year old, but if you're still undecided, I'll say ar, purely because the mcx doesn't really do much different, unless you're hell bent on a piston system, and even then... additionally, with what an mcx goes for, you'll have more to throw at goodies for the ar. All that said, I've never had the chance to mess with an mcx, but I do one day hope to own one. Three general consensus seems to be that while it's definitely awesome, you're still better served on the bang for buck front with an ar. Happy shooting.
Captain Chaos I know Sig sells an adapter that lets you run any standard ar stock, I believe that's what he's using but not sure what specific stock it is.
www.sigsauer.com/store/m4-style-stock-mcx-mpx.html It seems to be this one just with the magazine holder removed But as far as I can tell it's only for the MPX/MCX for obvious reasons xD
if i recall correctly Lucas threw up a video showcasing his firearms some time back. curious to see maybe an updated take by Lucas on his top 3 preferred rifles and why. link me otherwise.
Correct me if I am wrong but when you use the Geissele trigger in a Sig Virtus mcx you have to get a Sig firing pin latch for a Geissele trigger before it will fire, which I have done and then it fired perfectly Also Geissele will tell you that their triggers won’t hold up in a mcx . But so far mine has worked great
A good friend of mine is says that the mcx’s issued to the London Metropolitan Police keep getting sent back to Sig due to malfunctions, and quality concerns. They seem to have designed a great rifle but decided to cut cost when it came to manufacturing, like the ACR.
Can you make a video on what kind of gun oil you have found to work the best in high stress/ high work environments such as deserts and freezing temperatures. Also on what barrels you like over others. Thanks.
Great vid. You demo achieving good angles and accurate engagement with minimal exposure. Can you do a video where you discuss and demonstrate different angles firing off of and around covered positions?
Lucas... can you talk about the process you went through for all your tax stamps. I’m pretty sure this MCX is an SBR correct? And all your Suppressors, did you have to pay for a tax stamp for each and every one? Thanks man, great videos keep them coming.
What flasher hider is that ? I'm thinking it might be the FOSSA 556 since I couldn't hear any "ping" during his shoots which is common with other 3 or 4 pong flash hiders. Either way, very flat shooting for a flasher hider.
Lucas, when you had the barrel cut down to 13.7, did you have to modify the gas at all? I'd like to cut mine down but I'm worried since it's a piston gun that the gas would need modifying.
T. Rex, I am thinking about an AR system for home protection. I need your guidance on this matter; would you suggest this platform. Also, what accessories would you suggest?
5.56 or .300 AAC? Just curious as it seems like the report from the rifle seems lower toned. Idk if that’s even a factor, could be the recording equipment.
Zero experience with an ar here but have a question. I noticed you slightly drag your rear leg when moving and shooting. Is that to keep your body more stable?
hello T-Rex, i'm an italian guy fond of sig sauer. I wanted to ask you a courtesy. could you give me the links where there are all the changes he made on your Virtus MCX? and do you think the Geissele trigger is still the best trigger you can mint on the MCX? Best regards
question, i got some ar500 steel targets to shoot. they all instruct to shoot at least 100 yards with rifle rounds but almost all youtube video training videos have them way closer. 7 to 50 yards in most training videos. is it so safe that ppl just shoot them way closer and the target manufactuerers just say that so theyre not liable just in case? i prefer to shoot around 60 yards max. ill be an hour away from a hospital so i wouldnt risk anything.

New Modern Warfare Operator: Lucas. I’m sure many people would love this.

That isn't a bad idea though, I mean, if Ronin could get in, why not he?
Won't happen since his homophobic ig post from a while back

I’m sure it’s just the acoustics of that range, but the MCX sounds sooo wicked in this video
Other than making it look really cool, how is it always raining in your videos??
+Brennan Bennett because it always rains on our scheduled video days hahaha
Better question, how do you clean that thing afterwards to prevent rust??
if you get the gun hot enough the water dries really fast lol
Thats not rain, those are liberal tears.
