Your lead-ins, when you play the track and get all hype, make me smile every video. Thank you for not taking yourselves too serious. You rock! Thank you for the quality tuts and sounds. They are XLNT!
@@slurpii4142 I’m sure there’s a lot of beginner producers that follow these guys. so instead of saying something is easy why don’t you comment on some suggestions instead.
Such a sick video I’ve learned so much from you guys my music has improved so much as a direct result of listening to your channel for years! Keep it up guys love what you’re doing 🙏
I'm a fl studio user but I like your vids cause I can apply some tecnics just with different plugs cause we dont have utility on fl ☺ Good job and stay safe 👊🤓
Use a volume automation : create an automation with the gain knob in utility , then draw the shape in the automation , and then copy paste it. I find it the best way to do sidechain because it gives you total control and you visualy see what's going on. You could also use LFO tools (amazing vst)
Agreed!!! I got the nicky romero kickstart plugin and that helps automate sidechain, but its really only good for 4ontheFloor drums. Trap, dubstep, and riddim drums your basically on your own. But the kickstart plugin is good for practicing if you have any 4ontheFloor tracks.
You guys really have killer sound quality. I came across this channel thinking you guys were normal and you guys are on another level. Props and thanks for sharing, can't wait to sign up for Patreon. Also a sidechain vid would be cool, you guys do something similar to what I do but I think yours might be easier.
Wow love the way you explained cutting the lows. I noticed you wasn't notching out bad frequency but your music was definitely sounding fat. I'm following you guys and learn a tonne of stuff your explanations are excellent👍🏼💯
1 - gain staging, people often miss this part, is so important, without experience is hard to mix on high volumes, perceprtion of dynamic is so important. 2 - sidechain with a comp, leave always a lil bit of signal, so it goes to dirt ya phase of kick/snare, si better kill 2 inf i think. 3 - all the rest in video is cool.
if everything sidechaind to the drums, kicks ect. should i worry about low frequencies in my main basses clashing with the sub? even if its side chained?
Yo you guys are fucking amazing. I rigg megastages and now no more stages to be built due to Coronavirus. You guys have helped my arrangement and sound design so much. 🌶🌶🌶 #SENDIT
You guys could charge admission to sit in in the studio while you make these videos! Have no one talk, comment, associate with one another, not a single peep cause the main focus of these videos are learning purposes only from the both of you. Just an extra tid bit I thought I would throw your way in lew of (don't know how to spell lou) making money; because, I would pay serious money just to sit on the couches behind y'all with a note pad while you guys made these tutorials.

Definitely a video about how to side chain!! It is one of the most confusing techniques to learn and use!
Thank you!!

That reverb thrower is so nice, how did y’all go about making that?

You guys have to Midnight hours by Skrillex and boysnoise !!! It would be soooo fire !
Whilst mixing you should always ensure you're gain staging...
do you guys tune your drums to the key of the track?
1:15 The same time every way 😂
Hi, anyway to get the " Reverb thrower " at 7.06 ? Or anywhere to buy it ?
dude its just a reverb with gain automation lol
You guys ever soft clip your kick and snare to get more perceived loudness with gclip or something like that in ableton?
They had the softclipper on their grouped kick and snare compressor, so I would say yes. Just a different plugin doing the same thing.
Nice channel
Boys what's your take on the phasing introduced by all the low cut EQ work? Do you rate "linear phase" EQs in this purpose?
sidechain toots?
yall should do that evil ass bass from flumes Levitate
its interesting your don't cut the low end of the sub around the 33.3hz mark
Yo! The Skrillex vid has over 1k likes, please remake the first drop aswell🔥🔥
I like it up there too a little bit - that's what she said !
Side Chain video would be dope!!
