Glad to see the Iron Kapha in S. It's my favorite one handed weapon. Good balance of speed and length. It's long enough to spar with larger weapon using opponents and short enough to wield in close quarters when pressuring down 2 handed/spear users in close. And the +25% fame multiplier, along with bonus dismemberment is just the icing on the cake.
Throwing Pili is definitely an A tier in the early game - choose it for fights with insurance-it will not break, crazy amounts of damage for cheap (you can repair your main weapon in the meantime) or use it for the spoils to victor event to kill the enemy quickly and get a good weapon after that (value of the strategy falls down the more armor the enemy has)

Iron hanian clava is so underrated! It swings both directions, has a stab, good damage, and is long to go over sheilds. Definitely deserves A if not S IMO
It is about as good as two handed swords get, so I'd agree on it being A-tier. I definitely tend to rate swords with stab attacks, both 1h and 2h, higher just for that as it's very handy as a fast disrupting attack. Myrodon Daka and Hanian Clava in particular. They often don't have the range of spears but they're pretty versatile and don't suffer in the same way when someone is right up in your face.

I would say it's comparable if not better than most of the two handed S tier weapons listed such as the double chaka, great chaka, and heavy hammer. Bardiche may be better, but it does suffer from only being able to swing in one direction.

You CAN hit around shields with timing and swing direction, so it's definitely not impossible, but the poses spear + shield tend to take give few openings. Sword and shield poses/animations open up a lot more often. Meanwhile the spears can be hard to block with a 2h weapon, meaning you suffer a bit in defence. And yes, the Double Chaka, Heavy Hammer and Bardiche have similar problems. But I'd argue against the Double Chaka being S-tier in the first place (I find it a bit slow and clunky to use), the hammer is good for both breaking armour and knocking enemies around to break their guard, and the Bardiche just does so much damage with good reach. I wouldn't say outright the Clava doesn't deserve S-tier, but I do agree it deserves high A-tier at least and it does still have it's issues.
I completed every one of the careers by passing down the Iron Hanian Clava. It carries so hard with the flexibility to swing both directions so easy to get a low left swing up to the head of a shield user, not overly keen on its overhead attack and usually opt for a high right swing instead if I want to go over a shield as opposed to round it. Plus its so fun to take in early games when no one has armour and you can cut them down like grass haha swords also have a more forgiving damage area in my opinon, great when someone decides to get in closer with a one handed weapon, which i find is the biggest annoyance of user the longer weapons.
Iron hanian clava is S+ tier if you know how to use it, especially as an heirloom item. Until opponents become heavily armored it will be hitting for 60+ damage pretty regularly on fast pull-back swings, and even in high ranks it can kill enemies in 2-3 hits. Last run I did as a slave starting with it, I did not get hit once until I was rank 10, even doing a bunch of 1vsMany fights. The weapon is borderline broken.
Pans are good because they ignore a significant chunk of armor, alongside being blunt damage, so while their damage is low they deal about the same damage to armored as well as unarmored targets. I would rate them higher!
I'm really surprised that you gave the small hammer such a bad score, in my opinion it is one of the best starting weapons in the game. It is dirt cheap, has lots of durability, counts as light and has pretty high damage. The short range is the only downside, but then again if you meet someone with a large weapon, you can be in their face the whole time and thus prevent them from hitting you really well.
first thing I bought was Flagga. Why it only disarms itself but not the opponents weapon I will never understand. Today I find Tradaka, Spiked club and ofc, golden frying pan the best. Pukku doesnt deserve such a low place though. Please think of lonely sparring stick

Honestly, the two handed swords are excellent for decapitations, if you're good at that. I haven't seen any other weapon go around a shield and decapitate someone out of nowhere anywhere near as many times... But, otherwise, they're exactly as you described.
Reinforced Daka is the best 1h sword in the game due to having the highest damage at 28, have high durability and overall reliably fast. The only two things holding it back is the length and shape but even then you'll only need to throw fewer hits to kill someone quickly.
Youre sleeping on the pilli. Its 38 damage in early game on insurance fights it will not break so you can quickly finish 1v1 matches or matches that have you picking up random weapons with insurance definitely go for it.
I don't know if it's just me but the Tradaka does a lot of stagger on hit when it comes to being 1h and it's very long. I have many successes just bopping on enemy heads especially when they're behind a shield.
@@konthegamer I'm not sure if it's relevant but it's the only sword that can be 1h like a bastard sword. That means you're wielding a weapon that isn't light or normal but heavy so that might explain why it has some force into it. I want to know if the weapon types affect damage in some way, maybe adds more stun the heavier it is and the lighter it is, the less effective it would be against shields but that's just my conjecture.
@@ythandlename I don't think it adds damage but I think it is written somewhere in the game that heavy weapons do stun more or something like that so you may be on to something
Am i the only one using a reinforced daka or a kapha to completion? i dont find it bad for finding their way around shields because the AI rarely ever protects their legs so i just attack legs until they open up
@@konthegamer yeah I struggled initially then learned how to aim hits decently then found the daka and kapha are far more effective than a spear imo, everyone seems to love them and I don’t really know why

Sorry but watching you playing seems like you cant use them very good. At least in this video you stab and overhead swing like 80% of the times. For most weapons those are the least effective ways to use them. The fight mechanism is so complex, you can learn each weapon's strongest and weakest points.
Well the point of the ranking is that the best weapons don't really need to be used any type of way, they're just good at everything. I know how to use a sword just fine, but I wouldn't want to if I can use a bardiche instead.
I'd argue the gold frying pan as low C tier rather than D, for one simple reason: Massive reputation bonus. It's not always useful, but handy if you need it. Mentioned in a reply to another comment that the Myrodon Daka and Hanian Clava having stab attacks should not be underrated. Meanwhile whilst shields can be tricky to deal with when using 2h swords, it's definitely doable with a combination of timing and swing direction, and the high damage potential as well as the ability to swing from both directions makes me prefer them over polearms a lot of the time. They also tend to have high reputation bonuses and often the sharp modifier making for some very gory but fun kills (further boosting crowd appeal). Personally, I find the Double Chaka a little restricting due to middling reach, slow attacks and the polearm's restriction of swinging from the left even if it does have excellent damage which would knock it from s-tier for me, and spears ARE good (Hanian Staca in particular is incredibly long and fast) but when the enemy has a habit of getting right up in your face they can become a lot less useful. Agreed on the Farerdaka though, as it's good both with or without shields. Finally, worth noting the heirloom upgrade. Giving your next character something like the Taladaka, Kapha or Clava can make the early fights a cakewalk because of the bonus against unarmoured locations. The Clava in particular has very high damage, and can take out opponents in 3 or even sometimes 2 swings. Big 1 vs many fights can be a huge early earner, and a high damage sword can make them a lot less tricky.
I agree with pretty much everything here. You're right, the swords are not bad weapons at all, personally I just prefer the feel of some other weapons.

The gold pan has a wicked fame bonus (50%), so its top tier for me

I feel like any time I manage to get a farerdaka, it's game over for everyone I face. Especially if I have a really good shield as well.
