That move happens after a certain amount of time in MMX5 if you don't defeat him it's an instant kill move. You can actually dodge it but he keeps spamming it until he hits you with it. If you were to somehow get to the other side of the screen, he would flip around and do it to the other side instantly.
I was about to say something about how you actually had the ring count drain while Sonic was in Hyper form. And then Zero started spamming his Genmu Zero after Sonic waited too long.
Ngl seeing Awakened Zero using his instant kill move brought back alot of bad memories playing X5 on the hardest difficulty and if you dont beat him in about a minute or so he just spams his instant kill move until he nails you with it. Also its so weird hearing this the genesis sound chip it kinda sounds like something you would hear in a handheld game.
