X2, X5(treated player control as a different fight), X6, Zero 1, Zero 3, ZX(though technically the Model O fight is an easter egg).
Grand total of 9 encounters(accounting for player control).

A Zero vs X fight it’s just about as classic to me as Superman vs Batman and even Goku vs Vegeta. Iconic.

Honestly i find the Omega fight it easier with model X than with ZX
@@dumpsockpuppet5619 In the sense that Model X can do quite a lot of damage per charged shot, you're right. However, Model X lacks the mobility of Model HX and the stun of Model ZX. If you REALLY know Omega's pattern, then no other biometal melts his health faster.
If you don't know his pattern well, or if you make a mistake, you get punished hard.

These guys have been continuing the feud of their creators long after said creators died. An almost 500 year feud between Thomas Light and Albert Wily. It started with Mega Man vs Bass, and ended with Model X vs Model Z.

there are many hints in megaman legends 1 & 2 that link light and wily.
so in a way, their conflict continued for THOUSANDS of years, up until 8xxx.

This ost of X vs Zero from MMX5 is better than.
The transitions are smooth.
The most difficult transition was from PS1 to GBA. The tempo for the two were different enough that getting a good sync was annoying.

The way they put Nightmare Zero for me is just beautiful and so unfair, I mean the Zero Busters, the wave Slash, and the MachineGun Busters shooted at full power, followed by those Gigantic Slash Waves, Daaaaamn!! I wished we could at least, play with a Zero using all that extra (not extra) skills, I mean basically since MMx2 and MMx3, that Zero uses his Z-buster with the z-saber perfectly balanced

About the X vs Zero GBA ver. is actually a ripoff from MMZ(and also can't be found in Zero collection files), witch it makes sense about Inafune's idea of X originally being the antagonist but ejem, X6 happens and changed into Copy X

How do you dodge X5 Zero's ground-beating move?
When he fires it off, it automatically targets under your foot, so all you have to do is:
1. Walk forwards/backwards
2. Jump over Zero’s head and hover (if you have an armor that’s able to hover) because he will never shoot it under himself
3. Calculate where it’s gonna hit and dodge by jumping in the air (which is what I do because it makes the fight cooler/harder)

Not yet. Wouldn't mind redoing all of this, but man I don't wanna buy MvCI. Also the MvCI remix of the track is.... very disappointing.
@@MA16v3 I find it a very interesting remix. Every fanmade one is always fast, techno and/or metal. The MvCI version sounds slow, hesitant, yet powerful and heavy. Like someone is holding back, and the other isn't truly fighting.
@@matthewwilliams8267 I get that from the mix, but that just isn't what a fight between X and Zero is.
X and Zero are unbelievably powerful and efficient combat machines that outperform models made even hundreds of years after their deployment. Were either of them, with their autonomy, to decide humanity and reploids should be destroyed, there honestly isn't a whole lot that can be done to stop them. When X and Zero fight, it is because one believes the other is a threat, not just to themselves, but to the whole world. It is a fight neither of them want, but it is a situation they would have to take extremely seriously, since realistically, it would take one to stop the other. They fight not just to subdue, but to hopefully change them before one of them dies. It is an epic fight that had been teased for several games between two characters we don't want to see fractured. While X5 is a deeply, deeply flawed game, the payoff was perfect. As a track that plays primarily when they fight, it just does not work in any other form outside of this epic, glorious, yet desperate melody. A fight like X vs Zero was a rare scenario for the time, if not unprecedented, and got exactly the score it deserved.
You could use a slower or more restrained mix as a leitmotiff for buildup or whatever, but the implementation in MvCI for combat just underwhelms in a way that really killed my desire to play MvCI(I know it doesn't seem like a good reason, but that really is what did it in for me). I wanted Capcom to really go bananas with this and instead they held so much back. That said, that's the musical identity of MvCI anyway. I honestly can't see how it could have been different. A proper(my opinion) remix would have sounded incredibly out of place. I may still add it since I know how to play Marvel fighting games, plus I really want to redo all these fights since I have a much better recording method now, so we'll see.
If it isn't obvious, I think the song is probably the best individual score to ever leave a Capcom composer's studio and by a very wide margin. I still get pumped, without fail, every time I listen to it, without fail. I also think Zero 3, and ZX were missed opportunities to revisit the track properly, but eh.
@@MA16v3 I personally think it fits. X is hesitant, probably because he remembers X5, and knows this isn't really Zero. Zero himself is fighting internally, against the Grandmaster, and is intentionally not fighting at full power.
But they're both trying to end this quickly, end each other with little pain. It feels more...somber, like they both hate this fight, or don't WANT to fight.
@@matthewwilliams8267 Hmm, someone just saved the MvCI track for me. Played back at 1.25x, it is pretty close to what I'd want it to be. So a redux on not input-laggy emulators may be happening, including MvCI.

You can continue to use Model X by itself, but only when starting a new game after having a cleared save file for Aile and Vent.
does anyone notice that the Ultimate Armor looks slightly different when you use it compared to when you fight X when the cpu's using it?
Yes! Pretty sure it uses the X4 color scheme compared to the X5 color scheme. Through all of the X games, Ultimate Armor has a different sprite palette/design
How even omega returned in Zx?
I'd rather go after the x hunters to find zero's parts than having to fight him if i didn't when i play X2.
