Loveeee the treacle sponge recipe .. I am definitely going to try that, my hubby is also a pudding freak! Try sieving your flour as it helps to get more air into your pud, like you, I am also a home cook and do everything from scratch. I subscribed as I love the down to earth approach you have, nothing flashy and unnecessarily over the top! I've been a subscriber for a couple of weeks and enjoying all of your videos. Merry Christmas to you all :)))
@@katieskraftzstore2411 Hi and welcome. Thank you so much. 🥰 I'm glad you're enjoying the channel. A very Happy Christmas to you and your loved ones. 🎄🎁☃️
I always use packet mix too just as easy Iv never actually thought about adding the stock to keep it moist so great tip!! I'm impressed how you didn't drop the chicken with oven gloves I can't use them lol 😂 One table spoon is roughly 1 oz but I eyeball things as well 😂 love treacle sponge 😋
@@TraceysCookingNAllotment thank you! I've always added stock to my roasts, and once the meat is cooked you've a good base for your gravy. Oven gloves are either my friends or not. They behaved on this occasion! Ah that's good to know. I'm glad I'm not the only one who just does without measuring for some things! 🥰
Just now found you and subscribed..I love how you just jump right in cooking without all the talking...thank you for the sponge recipe...Do you ever spatchcock your chicken? cooks so much faster....
Having worked in a chicken factory many years ago in my youth, I would advise that you rinse the chicken inside and out under cold running water then pat dry with kitchen towel before you add to the oven. I like to smear my chicken in a little butter and streaky bacon. I'm not a massive stuffing fan unless I have made it from scratch, but I would definitely enjoy your roast chicken. I just wish I could make your delicious pudding, but I to behave sometimes because I'm a diabetic. Loved your cooking video, and I have subscribed. Much respect from across the pond in Ireland.❤ Edit... That's one happy, well-fed hubby. You can tell he is very happy that your a good cook. 😂
@@PecanBaby... Hello and welcome 🌹 Thank you for the tip, I will certainly try and remember before I cook another chicken. Aw I'm sorry you can't enjoy sweet treats as much now. I hope you can enjoy at least watching them. ❤️
