in tag der toten all character were killed, only sam and eddie survived and travelled to the cold war universe. eddie was a kid version of richtofen, hence why in cold war he is there. he simply grew up. and sam suffered from amnesia so she cant remember the old story and everybody was arrested as part to cover everything up, they have all been moved to a blacksite

I think Sam remembers a bit. There's a few voice lines she has that seem weird. One I remember off the top of my head is: "Why can't I control you anymore!?" Which makes it seem like she has some memory of controlling zombies.
None of the old characters are returning because none of what happened in the old story ever happened in this universe. The old story was a multiverse that was stuck in an endless cycle until the events of BO4 when everything is banished to the dark aether and only Sam and Eddie are free to walk into the new rebooted singular timeline that is Cold War zombies

Meaning as in, the house is encased within something and all the lights are on like someone’s inside. Maybe just confirming that samatha is indeed trapped in the dark aether or perhaps a hint toward something Monty related??? 😳😏
This is a different timelime from the original story line and since vanguard is connected to cold war zombie storyline that means dampsey, nikolai, takeo, and the original richtofen won't exist since they died in the aether Maybe we will have upcoming character resemblances but definitely not the old crew
@_playa_ vanguard cold war and mw3 are all connected now because of bo4. The whole point was to create a new universe where zombies didnt exist and for that to happen the original characters had to die. Vanguard zombies takes place before cold War zombies so if it ever had proper story writing we have better understanding how this all started again.

OG Characters won't come back in Vanguard, they all died before everything was sent to the Dark Aether meaning they're gone for good. Eddie and Maxis are the only characters from the old storyline who are going to be involved. (Maybe Victis if they break free)
That’s the OG characters who says there can’t be alternate version of the OG characters? If Richthofen is American, Dempsey will probably be German, Takeo Russian, and Nikolai Japanese.
@@HUSTLER1346 The Director is not an alternate version of Richtofen. He's Eddie, the pure version of Richtofen who passed through the portal with Sam. There also won't be alternate versions of them because the whole point of their sacrifice was to purge themselves and 115 from history and the multiverse so the cycle would cease to exist.
If they were ever to use the original primis group, takeo would have a different voice actor; I doubt they’d do that to him, so I don’t think they’re coming back aside from Richtofen
I have a question so yesterday I played Forsaken and ranked up to lvl 41 but when I got in the lobby it said I was lvl 38, and today i lvled up to 50 and got prestige 24 I even have the emblem but again it dropped me at lvl 44, is this happening to anyone else?
yeah, i played some zombies got prestiged and when i got done i was at like 47 with the prestige emblem that i got from prestiging in-game... i wonder when i hit the milestone if it will stay the same prestige or if it will glitch and go to the next one...

this also means the other zombies crews didn't HAVE to.die, as regardless of what timeline/universe they're in, zombies will happen regardless
