Incredibly well done and I haven’t the slightest clue how you’d code that. Also the idea of giving it the little rocket pods to spread corruption further away is so clever, makes it feel even more like a real organism. Reminds me a lot of Creeper World, though in that game you had to build defenses to keep the spreading purple liquid out. In that game the Creep has all sorts of wild entities that cause it to spread even faster.
@@firewars7636yeah, watching this i felt that i wanna play some fan made sleeper maps in creeper world 3... i wish there is more mechanics to this flesh mold, other than spore launchers
Imagine the Sculk Horde mod doing something like this. A brain node that just increases its size, making the sculk smarter and smarter, unlocking new mob forms as it grows.
At one point, flesh gets big enough, it would be cool if it started clearing tunnels through the large blobs where it then could start making sentient mobs that travel through the caves
It would be interesting if you could direct (and possibly hasten) this growth by constructing a bone scaffolding in the rough shape you want it to take. This would define walls/rooms/floors, but any region not prepared with bones would be filled in normally like this. Even something as simple as "Any wireframe cube made of bone will not grow any flesh within it" would be highly effective.
This would actually be pretty cool, and give bones more uses. It'd be cooler if you can use bone to make 'block blueprints' like machinery and transportation blocks, but the growth needs to 'fill them out' so to speak
The bones could also be used to build borders to keep infections of your own creation in check, there would probably be some breach’s of flesh from the pods being launched out, but maybe a tool that is used to destroy flesh manually and maybe later on automatically would help even further.
love how the cradle isnt really infecting the surrounding area, while the pods do spread flesh around, the flesh made cant spread on its own. rather, the cradle seems to be protecting itself.
Imagine how cool this would be together with the sound physics mod just standing inside and hearing the muffled flesh sounds coming from within the walls
I think the craziest part is that over time, the open spaces within the mass actually start to resemble *Rooms,* with straight walls and visible right angles, and even steps along the bottoms and patterns on the walls, as if the whole mass itself is building itself into a living *Castle…* The organised way that the organic mass arranges itself into neat, rectangular chambers really gives it this unnatural feel as if it’s trying to be something it’s not. And I bloody love it. A castle of Flesh and Viscera, that instead of being built, it grows all on its own.
Suggestion: Change the behavior of the seed pods so that if they hit a flesh patch instead of uncorrupted ground it will cause a new seed pod to sprout there. If the flesh block it lands on has other flesh blocks above it, move to the block above it until there is open air above and grow the seed pod there. Possible alternative block idea. If the seed pod grows with a flesh block above it instead of sky, instead of launching convert to a glowing pod instead. This would allow lighting to naturally occur within the rooms that form. If the lighting is bright enough at the seed pod locations (Enough glow pods have grown or extra lights added.) Instead it can change into a different block be it a decorative block or functional. This would provide a method for block generation that could allow for a more natural look to organically form.
with that i could just place down the core or whatever its called and just have a popup base like gimmie a few minutes for these *flesh torches* and *flesh chairs* to appear out of nowhere
Good ideas here I also went, combined with tachrayonic's comment about bone scaffolds. Another addition, natural spawning of mobs as part of this structure. If it needed resources to grow at a decent rate, something's gonna go outside and hunt. My dream would be to work with it, or against it. Hives as their own factions? Don't have much like that in Minecraft, best I can think is the vampire vs. hunter mechanic. Just wanna live my best Zerg life, especially if I can use it to suppress and fight other infections. I like Spore in concept, but I don't have good control methods. An active living one that tries to murder the fungus would be dope.
it might also be cool if, when enough seed pods come together, a new (whatever the origin point for this madness is called) forms imagine, bubbles of roiling flesh stretching across the horizon flesh biome flesh biome flesh biome
As someone who hasn't seen or heard anything about this mod, my jaw dropped the moment it made blocks that began mortaring the surroundings and spreading further. That's some stuff on the same range as the Zerg from StarCraft and I love it!

@@v61kznot really. If the dungeons are generated room by room instead of like this flesh bubble then it would be easier for our PCs to handle, unless you put a high tickrate via commands.
I like that it seems to automatically create adjoining rooms, giving you space if you need to add more stuff to your meatball. It would be interesting to see what it does underground. Does it hollow out space or work with what is available (if you put it in a cave, for instance)? Also, imagine if going into one of these things just meant death for anyone who didn't get far enough in the mod. Kind of like an ancient city but player made.
This mod looks absolutely incredible as of now. My only pet peeve is that it can’t really do anything other than spread, maybe you could make it possible to create hungry flesh blobs to fight and grow itself faster? Maybe add spikes to itself to stop attackers?
I'm currently letting living flesh take over my cottage and it really leads to deep thoughts. Deep thoughts like skin. Like how innovative it is to keep everything in place and not just have all of our innards sploosh out. Thank you for this train of thought.

I love the fact that it actively creates a full dome around itself as active protection instead of randomly spreading, feels a lot more logical for a fleshy being to develop in a way that protects its more important and vital organs
Seeing the bubble form gave me quite the idea. Imagine the organism intentionally covers itself in darkness, so that mobs spawn inside and are devoured by it. Maybe it could occur in caves much like amethyst geodes, but fleshy instead. Maybe with acid pits that trap victims like cobweb and expands with each death
Someone: “Tchaikovsky, living flesh spore launchers are not instruments.” Tchaikovsky probably: “Yes they are and I’m going to use 21 of them!” Someone: “Tchaikovsky no.” Tchaikovsky: “Tchaikovsky YES! TCHAIKOVSKY ALWAYS YES!”
I love that it just forms a blob instead of taking over the entire world, like spreading stuff in other (more boring) mods do. *Idea:* Once the growth has reached a certain size, it could spawn some special blocks which hatch into small mobs which, by default, seek out and bring food items to the Primordial Cradle, further fueling its growth. They would steal from chests, and form groups of 3-5 to kill small passive mobs like pigs a chickens. The player then could capture them and use them for item transportation by modifying them in some way.
maybe special ones would make little "outposts" of sorts, connecting to the main area they'd be small blobs that would serve as a drop off for food in the new areas the outposts would produce these workers and hungry primor blobs to act as guards, while also occasionally making those spore launchers
@@technoprotogen862 Looking at the hungry primor blobs, I feel like they are more like a failed experiment by the player, than an organism that can emerge naturally. What if the guards you mentioned were mutated versions of the workers, rather than reused mobs? I think that not reusing mod elements would further elevate the quality of Elenterius' mod.
It would be cool if there were light-bulbs that grew in the mass. maybe on the underside of blocks? That way it'd be dark on the outside but if you went into the open area where the original catalyst thing is then it'd be all lit up spooky like
Boy, this just made me nostalgic. I remember years ago messing around with the taint from Thaumcraft and playing the "Blightcraft" modpack. It's really cool to see more mods tackle the concept of infectious blocks.
I love the idea of something like this, I could imagine a really unique thing where you can spread different types of twisted biomes with this stuff to gain certain progression materials.
this is just giving me base ideas like an abandoned underground lab where the lower floors become more and more overtaken by flesh until the last few are unrecognizable, completely converted to it
I love the classical music put over this footage. It’s like, if the mound of flesh had a mind of it’s own, the music is portraying how it’d feel, that what it’s doing is a grand undertaking, sort of akin to how a patriotic soldier would feel fighting to give their home country more land and power. Also, just the idea of having this sort of music play during apocalyptic, horrific scenarios strikes some kind of chord with me that I really like.
This is really something very interesting, imagine adding a more complex spread formation system, such as tunnels connecting the central chamber or other rooms, there are so many possibilities. a promising and terribly exciting idea
I have always wanted a block that could literally grow without limits, I want to watch something literally take over the entire millions of blocks wide world. I thought moss would do it, but you have to bonemeal it, I though sculk would do it, but you have to place catalysts, this… IS WHAT I NEED!!
I really like how it forms a protective shield around itself and I was wondering if you've considered adding some sort of ambient heartbeat sound whenever there is a large amount of flesh near the player. and maybe the walls around the source room could harden and take longer to break overtime.
You should definitely add "Defense" Mechanisms to it, Like it will spawn some enemies, or create acid, organs etc, really lean into the "out of control" concept. I also think, you should have the Maligant Bloom Have a chance to spawn Maligant Catalyst, Magilant Catalyst would infect everything around it in a certain radius (eventually) but can be spread faster when things die next to it. Adding onto this Idea, You could also make anything that dies to or from Maligant enemies/catalyst assimilate. As For "Defense" Mechanisms, I think snare/tentacle traps would be pretty cool it grabs the player/mob and holds them in place. maw's could play into this aswell looking like a normal block but slightly different, if walked on it it'll hurt you. Acid lakes could be generated once the Maligant has grown to a sufficient area. You could also take some inspiration from biomes o' plenty flesh biome, the tendons they add to the roof, really make a good "flesh" feel. As for the organs idea, an organ type act like a production area for Maligant creatures. (Once it summons 10 or so it ceases to stop spawning specific creatures until they are slain) or like an egg, where if you touch it at hatches. Lung organs could make the area hard to traverse by blowing air, preventing you from reaching the "Core" A Heart Organ Could Be a replacement for the cradle making the flesh grow (very rare chance to be summoned by Maligant Blooms) Another idea I thought of is certain type of block transmutations, wood turns into Maligant wood, Maligant leaves etc. Some of these don't fit, but some do, please take whatever Idea you like the best, I really like this mod, and I wish to see it grow. Edit 1: After experimentation with the mod, The heart idea doesn’t really make sense due to how blooms work, maybe it can just cause maligant to spread faster? Also was reading some comments and had some ideas, definitely add eyes. Eyes make everything better, they can be like detecting motion for machines/work against you when maligant goes out of control.

So much opportunity in this mod. Great work bro, I know it's really easy to read everybody's comments and be like wow people expect so much from this, with conflicting ideas and so much stuff. What you've done so far is fantastic. Follow the fun bro, stick to your passion and vision, take on board the stuff that you like from other people, but keep having fun while making it. I can see this being very fleshed out 😁
I was just seeing what happens if I let it spread last time I used the mod, so Im glad to see it’s leaning into the infection part. Because a magic/tech mod with infection stuff is a very cool combination for a biopunk mod. Keep up the good work.
If you've not seen it already, it's not quite like this but Thaumcraft 3 is a magic tech mod with it's own infected biome called Tainted Lands and the taint will actually spread. Thaumcraft is my favorite mod of all time, deff recommend if you've not seen it before
Really well done! Reminds me a bit of that one SCP "The Flesh that Hates". If you'd give it the ability to take over and corrupt neutral mobs, having them do rituals and expand the flesh, that would be perfect 😄
I'd love the ability to have a sort of "tamed" version of something like this, where you could get the Cradle or a new block to build specialised structures, with flesh subsitutes for aspects of those structures, like a lab or house meatball
This is disgustingly beautiful. It's also amazing how such a complex structure with unique tunnels and form can be created with just one block and some items. Looking forward to making this one day!
Ideas: Make the flesh have more variation. For example, you could make flesh become denser the further inside the center ot gets, or even some bone pillars to make it support its weight Make an option to create objects (tentacles/mobs) that automatically attack anything in range. However, the owner could give the center block flesh/blood samples to add a friendly player/entity to the system Also if you do that, make the floor part way harder to break to prevent people from cheesing it, or even make an entire underground system (though that would be kinda difficult) Ive also seen someone mention a bone scaffolding to possibly give it a shape
Add multiple "cells" types. Some that will try to expand upward like termites. Other that like to extend toward each other's origin. Which end making a web. Some that grow carapace (bone blocks) and spike's etc. I would like to see how they would all merge.
I'd love to see underground roots of these things popping down to suck up nutrients, maybe tendrils sprouting in caves to feed on mobs that move near them like venus flytraps. Flesh veins that flow in the direction like redstone, or even beating hearts to act as "power sources". Flesh horror stuff really isn't seen much mainstream anymore, aside from like scorn but that ended up kinda flopping without the artbook
This reminds me of the flux corruption in Thaumcraft. I would suggest adding more "greeble" blocks to the currently relatively uniformly textured surface of the growth - think bone spikes of various curvature, flailing cilia, maybe even a rare eyeball.
I'm glad I didn't have to scroll too far to hear someone mention Taint. I lived next to a tainted meadow (I probably polluted it). Figuring out how to undo the damage was so engrossing for me.
Honestly I'd love it if there was some way to trigger growth of this speed and size in a playthrough, some kind of unstable growth stimulant so you can gain access to some unique resource that it grows with enough time
Might be a crazy idea, but I'm imagining a player on a multiplayer server growing one of these, and alongside the ritual ingredients the player throws something else in too and makes the cradle their base, and the cradle grows defenses to attack other players.
This is actually really cool, love how it form a structure around itself, I think it should at a certain point also start spawning mobs to hunt for food and defend itself
This is awesome! Reminds me of the Thaumcraft grape juice :) Huge fan of the custom terrain it generates, rather than just replacing blocks I'd love to see it growing some bones too
Very cool. Reminds me of the Taint from older versions of Thaumcraft, but meatier. I especially like the spore capsules as a spreading mechanism, very cool. I'd love to see what, if anything, you intend to do with this mechanic as it pertains to the rest of the mod. Like, will there be a REASON that you might let an isolated area become overgrown? Or is it just purely a bad thing that is easily avoided if you just destroy the creeping schmutz after every use of the cradle? All in all, very cool, looking forward to the future of this mod, it's got some promise.
@@Fullmetalnyuu0 Thaumcraft and Red Power were my bread and butter back in the day. Playing those completely ruined Vanilla for me and the rest is history. I feel like Azanor just burnt himself out constantly remaking the whole mod every version. I hope he returns to modding at some point, whether it's with TC or not. Team COFH is going to take over for TC development but who knows how long that'll take, it's been years since that transition happened at this point.
This reminds me of the things from Scape and Run Parasites, but this is better cause it actually makes a structure rather than just replacing the world with tainted blocks.
holy shit it's majestic , the only thing that concerns me is the amount of hours it would take to grow that big, I feel like it could need a little speed boost honestly, this is absolutely insane. also how did you make it creates rooms? is it based on some schematic or are the rooms randomly put?
@@creepager1510 yes, the seed is based on the world seed plus the hash of the dimension id. That way if it every generates in a different dimension it doesn't look the same at the same coordinates
I prefer this so much over other mods that include a world-infection mechanic. While mods like fungal infection add sparse, random infection from mobs, creating ugly and completely uncontrollable world infection, Biomancy 2's world infection originates from one source, both making getting rid of the infection a more realistic goal, and allowing for much more localized infected areas (pretty much creating biome-like areas instead of patches). Plus, the way the flesh spreads appears very authored, creating terrain that looks interesting and intentional. All that to say, I love where this mod is going, and I look forward to these videos :)
Yea, I hate Terraria because their infection mechanics are rampant from the beginning of the game and can get out of hand if you play in a Large world on the highest difficulty. This on the other hand, well it's caused by your own hubris...
I enjoy the idea of having flesh grow out of control, like a tumor, for being so careless. I hope this could unlock very interesting dynamics to the environment and gameplay. But I'm sure you'll figure out something original with that! :) And I am most curious to see what happens if it dies. Would the whole structure decay, wither, rot and fall apart? And it becomes an "escape quickly!"? I feel the tumor could use a bit more bones and eyes. The shape it started piling up made me think it tried to grow a bigger version of itself (the initial block).
This is absolutely wild. I love the way it builds to protect itself, but I also love the starbound ruin vibes, but you made it so much more interesting than that could ever dream to be🎉🎉 My favorite aspect is the projectiles that spread the flesh, this is such a heckin' neat concept!!
I think one thing it's missing is something happening when the shot pods hit flesh - it seems to happen often and it feels like it should cause something
I think it may be pretty cool if destroying the central block/creature in the middle caused the flesh it creates to rapidly decay and collapse, though it would attempt to defend itself by summoning mobs from the floor or occasionally forming flesh around it. Dunno if that really fits with the theme, but its an idea.
Yes, I'd like to see growths of several kinds show up. Bony/toothy ones, maybe spikes that do contact damage? Pores that leak fluid or spawn mobs or something. Tentacles. Blisters that release noxious gas when you get close. Make it gross. Give it eyeballs that follow you when you move around and/or occasionally blink.
it's interesting to see how the vertical slabs tend to form checkerboard patterns and the cyst egg sac thingies tend to form in almost a grid pattern and how the fleshy blocks avoid the eggs in a cubic radius, causing square voids to form

At one point, flesh gets big enough, it would be cool if it started clearing tunnels through the large blobs where it then could start making sentient mobs that travel through the caves
Now theres a cool idea
It would be interesting if you could direct (and possibly hasten) this growth by constructing a bone scaffolding in the rough shape you want it to take. This would define walls/rooms/floors, but any region not prepared with bones would be filled in normally like this.
Even something as simple as "Any wireframe cube made of bone will not grow any flesh within it" would be highly effective.
This would actually be pretty cool, and give bones more uses. It'd be cooler if you can use bone to make 'block blueprints' like machinery and transportation blocks, but the growth needs to 'fill them out' so to speak
Build a bone city and then cover it in flesh to make it living and super weird
The bones could also be used to build borders to keep infections of your own creation in check, there would probably be some breach’s of flesh from the pods being launched out, but maybe a tool that is used to destroy flesh manually and maybe later on automatically would help even further.
Cancer can grow bones, eyes and even a brain too in the lab but sadly the hoist body dies way before that

I think the craziest part is that over time, the open spaces within the mass actually start to resemble *Rooms,* with straight walls and visible right angles, and even steps along the bottoms and patterns on the walls, as if the whole mass itself is building itself into a living *Castle…*
The organised way that the organic mass arranges itself into neat, rectangular chambers really gives it this unnatural feel as if it’s trying to be something it’s not.
And I bloody love it. A castle of Flesh and Viscera, that instead of being built, it grows all on its own.
-the backrooms- the fleshrooms
if you let it sit for a long time you are gonna see hallways to the candle
Build-your-own-home biomass!
This would provide a method for block generation that could allow for a more natural look to organically form.
with that i could just place down the core or whatever its called and just have a popup base
like gimmie a few minutes for these *flesh torches* and *flesh chairs* to appear out of nowhere
Just wanna live my best Zerg life, especially if I can use it to suppress and fight other infections. it could spawn some special blocks which hatch into small mobs which, by default, seek out and bring food items to the Primordial Cradle, further fueling its growth.
They would steal from chests, and form groups of 3-5 to kill small passive mobs like pigs a chickens.
The player then could capture them and use them for item transportation by modifying them in some way.

Lung organs could make the area hard to traverse by blowing air, preventing you from reaching the "Core"
A Heart Organ Could Be a replacement for the cradle making the flesh grow (very rare chance to be summoned by Maligant Blooms)
Another idea I thought of is certain type of block transmutations, wood turns into Maligant wood, Maligant leaves etc.

Ideas: Make the flesh have more variation. For example, you could make flesh become denser the further inside the center ot gets, or even some bone pillars to make it support its weight
Make an option to create objects (tentacles/mobs) that automatically attack anything in range. However, the owner could give the center block flesh/blood samples to add a friendly player/entity to the system
Also if you do that, make the floor part way harder to break to prevent people from cheesing it, or even make an entire underground system (though that would be kinda difficult)
Ive also seen someone mention a bone scaffolding to possibly give it a shape

It's perfect

And I am most curious to see what happens if it dies. Would the whole structure decay, wither, rot and fall apart? And it becomes an "escape quickly!"?

"What are you doing with that command block bro?"
The command block gray goo:
looks like thing that hurts you when you try to break it in Terraria
Yeah, it pretty much is a crimson altar and the crimtane blocks
Bro hasn’t gotten to hard mode
@@noodlestudios1742I don't know how I could do that
