Back in the day (as in early 2000s) you would be walking. Nowadays, if someone sees a minor walking by themselves, they'll call the police and CPS, which is why your parents don't have a choice but to drive you. When I was in HS, if I missed the bus, I was walking to/from school the entire 2.5 miles. Uber didn't exist. All the adults with cars were at work. The public transit would have taken the same amount of time as walking. Kids today got it good compared to us lol.
The school I went to from 8th-11th grade would've just called my gma to make sure I wasn't sick & then volunteered to come get me. I would be pissed as hell like "Damn, I know for a FACT I'm not the only kid in this school. They act like they can't function without me for 5mins... Geesh" 🤦🏽♀️🤣🤣🤣
@flabbergasted05 it depends on where you live and a lot of other factors, but you CAN call the police if you see an unattended minor in what looks like an unsafe situation, especially something like walking on the side of the road where anyone can grab them
I remember my mom saying something similar when I was younger 😂 This lady followed me with her car while I was walking and drove by the stop multiple times just to make sure I got on the bus worst part was she wasn't even trying to hide. 😂😂🤣
Lord this brings back memories. The Sunday before school started back was my mom’s favorite day to start reminding us school was about to start. When the bus schedule went up on the fridge, you knew what time it was.
I just started this with my boys last week. Walked in the room and told them to shut that game off. Bedtime is now 11:00pm. When school starts it's 10:00pm. Conditioning is real in the black household. 💯

Lol Have us both in here praying for them snow days, breaks, & weekends to hurry up and get here so we could rest 🤦🏽♀️🤣🤣🤣
