I still remember when Taylor had her release party for this album on Ellen and told everyone that Joe Jonas broke up with her on the phone in 27 seconds. Ellen’s face was fantastic. Then she revealed that Forever & Always was about him.
What I have an even harder time getting over is that little skit she did with the Joe Jonas and Taylor Swift dolls for that vlog she put out around release week.

The Way I Loved You and your reaction to it remains superior
Taylor starting out with country has made it easy for her to use amazing storytelling in pop music. Country music is so good at being specific and telling a story and she’s one of the best at it. Her writing ability never fails to impress me and captivate me and starting with country really helped that.

Not so fun facts: I have an special place in my heart for Hey Stephen bc it was the first song of her that I remember listening, almost by accident, and it was so damn cute that it drew me in immediately. Also, Breathe was the first song of her I actually related to and made me cry when I was 17.

The Best Day is not really about her family, although she mentions her Father/Brother, but the song is actually about her mother. And its track 12 and if you listen to Lover the song Soon You'll Get Better is also about her mother and both the tracks are track 12. It makes SYGB hit deeper.
