I'm fairly confident this is set mid-timeskip so maybe 2 or so years after the Academy Phase. My guess is the story revolves around Byleth going back in time to prevent the War happening in the first place starting first by preventing Jeralt's death. However somehow this Purple hair dude is made aware of it and acts as your main adversary or something.
If thats the case then other than jeralt dying something else must have happened so dimitri doesnt get his eyepatch since he gets it right after returning to fhirdiad from the monestary. Im thinking more along the lines of an alternate universe/timeline. Notice how theres no male Byleth anywhere as well? I wonder why that is
4:25-4:27 Aymr wasn’t completed and given to Edelgard until after the Five Year Timeskip. And honestly, even if this is an Alternate Timeline, it’s way more plausible for Dimitri and Claude to have Areadbhar and Failnaught already than for Edelgard to already have Aymr.
All I want to see now is how the hidden characters from the main game look like; adult Sothis, Glenn, Hilda's brother, the lords parents.. also wish we saw how Rhea looks like or plays like 🥲

Absolutly hyped for this game! I love the idea that instead of character movesets the game could give you class movesets. That would make it even easier to bring back the whole roster plus some additional characters. Also I wonder if they bring back some guest characters form FEW1 and finally Roy and Ike...

note when byleths sword brakes she takes the same pose as nemesis in his death in golden deer so maybe that that seen takes place at the beginning of the game at a 3 way battle and divine pulse back in time back to the start and informs the lords on what happened prompting clauds line about mistakes in the trailer
I'm soooo excited- I never thought I'd be seeing more dimitri content :') also kind of worried they changed the VA's.. a lot of people have noticed that in the second half of the trailer (time skip version of the lords) sound different.. and also the OG VA's on twitter haven't been vocal at all about this release

Tbh I’m a long time fan but I never wanted a golden route. (They tend to be badly written anyways). I found Blue Lion’s ending the best, well written, and most satisfying. That said I adore the idea of a Musou game with all the Three Houses’ characters! And if Eldegard becomes good… that could be sweet.
People point out Sothis's line being weird, but it's actually very in-character for her! Both in her unused critical hit lines in Three Houses and her special proccs in Heroes have the line "Revenge, it lives!", showing that she isn't above being wrathful or vengeful (the Argathans certainly know what it is like to be on the bad side of her!). So whoever she is speaking to about why one would undergo revenge, it's both something she has experience with and NOT meant to be a warning against (the typical "To take revenge, dig two graves" deal).
The purple haired man’s markings on his face are the exact same as the white haired figure opposing Sothis on the box art. If I had to guess Sothis and the opposing figure were old enemies and perhaps the white hair antagonist was the Arganthan god? Either way I think purple haired man is fused with the white hair antagonist in the same way Byleth and Sothis are. He even has contrasting purple aura while Byleth has green aura. Which explains why Byleth is losing despite having Sothis power(other than the fact that she doesn’t have the Sword of the Creator yet).
i heard on Faerghast's video someone mention that this new white haired character could actually be the namesake of the Forbidden Spell of Zahras that Solon uses in 3H, since it "terrifies" Sothis and the only way to defeat it is with literal direct divine intervention, so the namesake of that spell being opposed to Byleth who is now Awakened (aka fused with Sothis) makes... actually a not insignificant amount of sense.

@@lucky_crit thats my line of thinking. knowing the 3H lore, that Sothis is "terrified" of the darkness of the Forbidden Spell of Zahras, and characters like Lysithea and Edelgard, who were BOTH experimented on by the Agarthans, end up with white hair similar to this unknown god, and seeing Agarthan creations (the Demonic Beasts and presumably antag's sword) in FEW:3H really makes me think that this white-haired individual opposite Sothis is actually Zahras.
great vid, as a Musou fan and Fire Emblem fan, I kinda loved the first game, so seeing a new one after 5 years of waiting has me hyped up to the max. And Oh my god, the game looks so good.
Hypothesis: Since Sothis' powers (that we see) revolve around time, the powers that Purple has are all about space, being able to teleport or some such.
I normally do not enjoy spinoffs (for example games like p5s), but this seems really interesting, the character designs are so damn cool. And I especially look forward to this since Koei devs also created the original three houses.
I was thinking if the new purple guy could be Yuri from the Ashen Wolves, but then his short hair didn't match the post or even pre timeskip hair style of Yuri, so I put conclusion that he's a total new character. By the way I wish all the Ashen Wolves will be playable... I miss Constance and Hapi
i have played the first fire emblem warriors but I never liked it but because I am a three houses fan and even though warrior type games arent my cup of tea I'll be picking up this game when it comes out in the summer at least it will give me something to do with my switch that is been sitting at my desk for awhile now

I'm hyped beyond measure for this, and I just hope they do the roster and weapons justice. Say what you will about the first FE:W game, but they got it right with the gameplay. What really rubbed people the wrong way was the imbalance regarding the weapons (yes, the only time "too many sword-users" can be used as a legit argument.) and the representation. We would need to see a bigger roster, with equal sword/lance/axe/bow/magic(probably a fistweapon or two) for starters, unlike in the last game where axe and lance users were limited without dlc and having all lance users be useless against archers. We probably won't see characters from other games, but it would be really cool if the dlc did add some more representation, but I won't hold my breath about it. Lastly, Edelgard MUST have a alt skin as the Flame Emperor, complete with new voiceclips.
I'm really curious to see just how many playable character's there will be. Muso games are usually not known for having huge rosters outside of the spinoffs. And in a series like fire emblem where certain games can have 50+ recruitable characters, it'll be hard to tell who exactly will be present. Right off the bat we already know that Byleth, Edelgard, Dimitri, Claude, Hubert, Dedue, and Hilda will be playable. We might also get to play as some Knights of Seiros, such as Catherine and Shamir. While I doubt EVERY FE3H unit will be playable, since it would be hard to make character's who wield the same weapon type have diverse movesets, we may see 1 or 2 extra units from each respective house. Personally I hope we get Dorothea and Caspar from the Black Eagles, Felix and Mercedes from the Blue Lions, and Lysithea and Marianne from the Golden Deer.
i believe all the students including the ashen wolves will be in the main game and may be the main focus in the story. the knight of seiros and catherine and shamir will be like unlockable and also anna since they may not be in the main story or wont have much focus. Ashen Wolves may play a role also in the game. i mean rumors has it its 50+ characters. Lysithea also appears in the trailer 1:05
Mmmm could indeed be a "golden ending" after all Byleth does have the power to turn back time as She/He will it ... So who know may be some type of power up give them the ablity to change back time so each lord and have there goal reach peacefully (somewhat any way) Just an idea like that tho I got no idea but I think it possible since Byleth does have that type of power (not a fun type of rewriting the story but still It can be use tho could also be annoying for some ppl too I think they should be careful it with but any way I think it possible somewhat.)
If I may propose my idea, I don't think the game may even follow the events of Three Houses. People say this is the mid-timeskip period that leads to a different route but there are two things here that contradict: Sothis being presumably alive and yet to fuse with Byleth and the lack of the Sword of the Creator. This meant that the events have yet to take place which should happen way earlier in the timeline, indicating other factors like Jeralt dying may not even be a thing here. A possible wild theory I have is the game will play exactly the same as Three Houses' beginnings maybe up to the picking of the house and then the story just diverge immediately afterwards. The Sword of the Creator is obviously in the game but much like the Master Sword in Hyrule Warriors, it will mark a significant turnaround for Byleth and will only be officially introduced later on.
The hype for this game is increasing every time I watch the trailer. At first I was bit disappointed of the direct because I was waiting for the mainline to be announce but we can't be too greedy xD What do you guys think, is Nintendo going to announce the mainline game at E3?

My thoughts are it is the golden route as you said (if we're lucky the writers will be the same) and if we were to ever see a true sequel to FE3H then it would be a continuation of this "true path". Cuz otherwise it would be impossible to make a sequel with the 4 possible end states of the original game unless its completely removed of Fodlen and that's no fun.
I was worried a main series FE game was just going to be a sequel, but if it's a warriors game, that's pretty neat. I hope they make characters a bit more distinct than in FE Warriors though. If they keep Three Houses' class system of everyone being able to use every weapon, then they'll be forced to differentiate them by the features they have, which'd be nice.

I'm not sure there will be a timeskip because the characters with redesigns look way too similar to how they look at the academy. It could just be they're the same age as pre-timeskip with different clothes since they aren't in the Officer's Academy anymore

In the Japanese trailer, the VA sounds different from female byleth's Japanese VA. And that voice doesn't sound like any other character we've seen, so it's most likely a new character.
I know that this video is over 3 months old, but i just noticed that the characters talks like they know something is going to happen, and there is talking abour breaking a cycle. Could be that happened so many "resets" (i don't know how to spell it) that they happen to remember?
It's not clear if non digital players will be able to get the owl in other ways, but it seems the owl feathers are for building support bonds with characters

Frankly I don't care if they are making a plot fix or perfect route, since I got fan fiction to do that long before Three House's release and they're way better.
I hope each character has a different move set even if they’re in the same class. That was the one thing that I didn’t like from the first FE Warriors. So much potential but they just made everyone clones of each other with different stats.

While I doubt EVERY FE3H unit will be playable, since it would be hard to make character's who wield the same weapon type have diverse movesets, we may see 1 or 2 extra units from each respective house. Personally I hope we get Dorothea and Caspar from the Black Eagles, Felix and Mercedes from the Blue Lions, and Lysithea and Marianne from the Golden Deer.
i believe all the students including the ashen wolves will be in the main game and may be the main focus in the story. the knight of seiros and catherine and shamir will be like unlockable and also anna since they may not be in the main story or wont have much focus. Ashen Wolves may play a role also in the game. i mean rumors has it its 50+ characters. Lysithea also appears in the trailer 1:05
Sothis is clearly talking about Jeralt death in the trailer. Claude and Rhea were the only ones against revenge at that moment.
Mmmm could indeed be a "golden ending" after all Byleth does have the power to turn back time as She/He will it ... So who know may be some type of power up give them the ablity to change back time so each lord and have there goal reach peacefully (somewhat any way)
Just an idea like that tho I got no idea but I think it possible since Byleth does have that type of power (not a fun type of rewriting the story but still It can be use tho could also be annoying for some ppl too I think they should be careful it with but any way I think it possible somewhat.)
If I may propose my idea, I don't think the game may even follow the events of Three Houses. People say this is the mid-timeskip period that leads to a different route but there are two things here that contradict: Sothis being presumably alive and yet to fuse with Byleth and the lack of the Sword of the Creator. This meant that the events have yet to take place which should happen way earlier in the timeline, indicating other factors like Jeralt dying may not even be a thing here. A possible wild theory I have is the game will play exactly the same as Three Houses' beginnings maybe up to the picking of the house and then the story just diverge immediately afterwards. The Sword of the Creator is obviously in the game but much like the Master Sword in Hyrule Warriors, it will mark a significant turnaround for Byleth and will only be officially introduced later on.
The hype for this game is increasing every time I watch the trailer. At first I was bit disappointed of the direct because I was waiting for the mainline to be announce but we can't be too greedy xD What do you guys think, is Nintendo going to announce the mainline game at E3?

My thoughts are it is the golden route as you said (if we're lucky the writers will be the same) and if we were to ever see a true sequel to FE3H then it would be a continuation of this "true path". Cuz otherwise it would be impossible to make a sequel with the 4 possible end states of the original game unless its completely removed of Fodlen and that's no fun.

I was worried a main series FE game was just going to be a sequel, but if it's a warriors game, that's pretty neat. I hope they make characters a bit more distinct than in FE Warriors though. If they keep Three Houses' class system of everyone being able to use every weapon, then they'll be forced to differentiate them by the features they have, which'd be nice.

I'm not sure there will be a timeskip because the characters with redesigns look way too similar to how they look at the academy. It could just be they're the same age as pre-timeskip with different clothes since they aren't in the Officer's Academy anymore

In the Japanese trailer, the VA sounds different from female byleth's Japanese VA. And that voice doesn't sound like any other character we've seen, so it's most likely a new character.
I know that this video is over 3 months old, but i just noticed that the characters talks like they know something is going to happen, and there is talking abour breaking a cycle. Could be that happened so many "resets" (i don't know how to spell it) that they happen to remember?

It's not clear if non digital players will be able to get the owl in other ways, but it seems the owl feathers are for building support bonds with characters

I hope each character has a different move set even if they’re in the same class. That was the one thing that I didn’t like from the first FE Warriors. So much potential but they just made everyone clones of each other with different stats.
