Edelgard: "I'm counting on you." Dimitri: "Sharpen your blades and be ready." Claude: " _Always talk to strangers. Move in with them immediately afterwards._ "
Same as always, like in the Three Houses House introduction. Edelgard: "The Empire needs you!" Dimitri: "The Blue Lions walk the true path of justice!" Claude: "You? Me? Golden Deer? We could be great together!"
That shot of Byleth approaching for the finishing blow, no emotion whatsoever… that really puts their title of Ashen Demon in perspective. Being on the other end of it is such a cool concept, and I can’t wait to see how it’s executed ingame.
The fact that we haven’t seen Byleth referred to them as Byleth in-Game yet (implying we might be able to chose the name) AND that we can choose byleths gender Leads me to belief that we might actually be able to play as Byleth in some segments. Perhaps it’s like a shadows of Valentina situation where you can swap between the two. This would also be pretty good for people that like the church characters a lot. Just some food for thought
@@Ventpiire We could get a hyrule warriors (Not age of calamity) scenario where we have to play a mini story as the antagonists near the end of the game to aquire context onto whats been happening or will happen before the final few missions
I always wished there was a route in Three Houses where we could choose not to go to Garreg Mach, remain a mercenary, and experience the war that way, so I'm very excited by the antagonist Byleth situation. Byleth clearly did not become an instructor at Garreg Mach in this game.
Shez seems to only interact with the students after the war begins. So Byleth may still go there but Shez does something to make Byleth mia. The church also seems to be against all 3 factions too
Highlights, containing spoiler from the trailer 1:49 Monica, confirmed playable 2:11 Lorenz new design 2:13 Mercedes new design 2:20 Idk who, but related to Claude perchance? 2:32 HOLST, Hilda's brother Personal theory: 2:24 Those gloves and sleeves basically confirmed to be Felix's Main summary: - Purple haired guy is now the MC - Byleth's now the villain? - New design for all units, albeit some barely change - New units to play as well - And the routes are all split to three again? I think? - The soundtrack, immaculate as always Can't FREAKIN wait for this game! Minor edit: 0:55 is Ferdinand Von Aegir on far right
Maybe that’s one of Claude’s brothers. In an interview like 2 years ago, the creator confirmed Claude likely has half siblings in Almyra who likely picked on him for being half Fodlan. Also, I think the person that Holst is fighting is either Caspar’s brother, or father. Both Holst and Caspar’s father in 3H are like some of the strongest Fodlan from what we know, so that’s a cool battle.
My bet is that the game is based on a timeline that Byleth never became a professor therefore Byleth remains a cold mercenary and s/he will for the other factions opposed to you
If Byleth is a boss, I am really interested in how they will implement their time pulse mechanics. Imagine thinking you about to win and suddenly the boss can read every one of your attacks. Oh perhaps you have a counter time mechanic God or something.
@@riolukid1080 just looking through this trailer out seems like Shez was supposed to die because of, "...as mercenary who was meant to fade into the waves of history". Assuming that means in the OG 3 houses they do in fact get killed by Byleth. The 1st trailer always had me confused because of the line saying, "the cycle of this world. I will not let it perish with you". So this storyline could be some massive butterfly affect chaos brewing from Byleth altering the time line too much in 3 houses. And maybe Shez and their God are trying to kill Byleth to stabilize the time/space fluctuations or something.
I think they are pulling our legs with Byleth. The 1st trailer had Sothis talking about taking revenge just to soothe your heart and not doing it for someone else. Maybe trying to convince Shez not to follow through with revenge. But then again Sothis should only be talking to Byleth…so I definitely think Byleth is going to be playable or at most mid game final boss, but not the true end game antagonist.
It's gonna do what SMT Apocalypse did, Byleth is still important but time mumbo jumbo shenanigans (this white looking demon lady/Dagda) causes someone who was meant to die (shez) to survive thus causing a series of events that completely change the story
Dimitri looks very sane and not obsessed with revenge or hateful, even when Edelgard was in front of him. Did he never „snap“ or did he never discover the identity of Flame Emperor? Did the Faerghus coup even happen? And why is Dedue 2:23 attacking Faerghus soldiers? He would never fight against Dimitri, so this means the Faerghus soldiers are attacking... Dimitri? I‘m very interested in an alternative story scenario for Blue Lions.
Or is there even a Flame Emperor at all in this timeline? They only met Byleth because a plan Edelgard made as the Flame Emperor went wrong (mostly because she didn't know Claude very well).
I think they are trying to make different like they did in hyrule warriors age of calamity. So perhaps this might be something new and interesting to play. Or at least, that's what I said.
We have to remember that Byleth and Geralt were originally Mercanaries, who knows what they may have been hired to do before 3H started that would make them gain a lot of enemies like Shez here.
@@kanyeminaj true, but consider they may have clashed with other Merc groups also who thought they were doing good. Not to mention Byleths "Ashen Demon" title, they might've gone a little too berserk in a fight that may have given survivors PTSD.
After Loving Three Houses, I am definitely excited to try this out. Its Great to be back in Fodlan again. Also Hope we can see the Ashen Wolves in this one, it would be fun to battle enemies in Abyss and see Yuri, Balthus, Constance and Hapi again!
They maybe DLC again judging on how these games usually go. But also knowing how these games go, it will probably be worth the price. Edit: Ok, I've seen that I am likely wrong as we've now seen them in the trailers.
I don't think we'll have a clear antagonist tbh. Because the 1st trailer made us believe that Shez is the enemy and now the 2nd one seems to portray Byleth as antagonist. I think we'll have a similar situation like that with Edelgard where you can't tell who is good and who's bad.
I mean Edelgard wasn't Evil but definitely the villain. And Those who slither in the dark are pretty cut and dry bad. But yeah, the three stories make me think there isn't going to be a nice ending with a bow.... which makes me sad because now I can't just recruit all the students it seems
@@stick9898 I mean motivation-wise. Her goals were good, the means were... questionable. You can say that about Rhea/Seiros, the antagonist on her route, as well.
@@stick9898 Nah the mentally deranged sociopath being puppeted by those who slither and the idealistic moron who has no governmental plan past "open borders dur hur no mo racism" are so much better options

Calling it now, given the fact that we can choose which gender we want for Byleth leads me to believe that either A.there will be segments where we swap over to them and take control of them or B.once we beat the game's story we unlock Byleth as a playable character and can take them into previous battles, like the Free Play segments in other Musou games.
Perhaps byleth will join some time after being defeated by shez.. maybe some plot twist will happen forcing them to put aside differences even if shez has an argarthan god inhabiting them
Kinda hoping it follows the same story more or less, but Shez picks one of the kingdoms that Byleth didn't, and so the story changes by beating Byleth. Still I hope Byleth is playable at some point, was really hoping for that. Wierd to look at Byleth as the villain though.
As someone who was struggling with the UI of orders during Age of Calamity, I’m so excited to see this grid system for the map AND you can actually order the units to attack the enemy there or follow some other command, which wasn’t possible in AoC.
It wasn't possible in AoC? I thought it was actually, I remember being able to tap the characters in the map and send them to a keep or a stronger enemy. But yeah, in Three Hopes, the Order system seems definitely better.
A lot of this wasn't in AoC because AoC was way more a Zelda game than a Warriors game, even compared to the original Hyrule Warriors, they removed absolutely 100% anything that was strategy related from AoC, keeps, clans, waves, push back wars, none of any of that stuff mattered in AoC, and they are absolutely indispensable from real Warriors games.
AoC acted more as a Zelda game than a warriors game. I still like both Hyrule Warriors over Fe warriors, so I’ll see how much I like of this game before I get tired of it.
I hope we can recruit Byleth later. I do like the idea of fighting Byleth but I love their character so much. I don’t want them to be an antagonist that we just end up killing to move on to some other final boss. I am kind of sad as well that Byleth will not get to make any special bonds in this world like they did in Three Houses.
We can recruit Byleth considering that there's gender select for Byleth. If that's a case, then I wouldn't be surprised if we can save Byleth from whatever happen to him/her.
Also; If I’m not mistaken, this was supposed to be someone byleth was supposed to defeat that ended up creating a different fate. Almost like an alternate timeline type deal if I’m correct
I think the Shez/ Byleth situation might be something similar to Transformers: War for Cybertron. In the first half, you play as the bad guys, and in the second half, you play as the good guys. Maybe Shez is being manipulated by the Agarthans to try to erase Byleth from this timeline so they can succeed, maybe he succeeds but becomes too powerful and turns on them as well, and then in the second half, Byleth is revealed to have survived, and Sothis urges her to fix time. Theory two, it’s like Sonic Adventure 2; two different viewpoints of the same story, and if you beat them, you get the true ending. Theory three, everyone is against Byleth, but once Rhea finds out that Sothis is not only insides Byleth, but the two of them share the same goal, she commands the entire Church of Seiros to aid her, even going against the three major powers, if necessary.
I think you play as Byleth first, then Shez. When Jeralt dies, Byleth takes it worse than in the original game and becomes a cold hearted villain, this explains the other characters going with Shez (as I assume they will add everyone in order to just make everyone happy), even characters that would probably stick with Byleth normally. For instance, Leonie would be unlikely to betray Jeralt and by extension, Byleth, but if she realized that something is CLEARLY wrong with Byleth, she would probably split up with Byleth and try to stop them, as she realizes what they have become, joining Shez. You can do this with all of the characters, and have their own reasons I'm just going with an example here because Leonie seems like one of the tougher ones to make work and this explanation goes with my theory, but yeah you get the idea, explains the character shift.
Another possibility, though highly unlikely, is that you have a situation like in Bladestorm: The Hundred-Year War. Since Shez is a mercenary and his first quote is about how light his pockets feel, it could also be a mechanic that the losing side starts to offer you more money than the side you`re on and then you have the option to switch sides.
@@ThatoneFelicia it feels like it's probably a big misunderstanding. When ever someone says I don't like what I've heard about that fella. It's either byleth is a hero in secret, or manipulated or imposter At least that's what I think

Fe:3H might be my favorite game of all time. The story, the characters, the writing, the music, the gameplay... it all was so amazing.... But the _visuals..._ Well... They died like a true knight.
Man with Byleth’s past reputation as the Ashen Demon, imagine if they took a page out of Dynasty Warriors’ book and make them the Lu Bu of this game, as in during the battle scenarios whenever they show up, the game urges you to NOT engage them in a fight (Until the mission that has that as an objective ofc)
imagine calling one of the three lords a minor character XD. I'm jk pls don't take this seriously. even the anonymous soldiers get a glow up. can't wait to see gate keeper
God, I'm so happy we get to see the Byleth in her prime as a mercenary with this. Jeralt always used to hype up The Ashen Demon's achievements, can't wait to see a version where the Officers Academy and Church of Seiros makes her their enemy.

I thought the same at first, but then I realized it’s pretty interesting to see Byleth fleshed out more and how they’re portrayed from other characters’ perspectives.
So from what I understand this could be an alternate universe where the church raised Byleth or something like that… Or Byleth chose one house and we chose the other and now we’re on opposite sides…
Byleth raised by the church, huh? I'm gonna lol if it's gonna end up being some kind of "diet-Naruto" plot about Byleth resurrecting the godess to bring "eternal peace" by subjugating everyone.
Nah. I think that byleth Is the One we used in three houses. He Saw every future possible and divine pulsed back in time to save all the students. But something happened and Shez appears. I think that Shez Is the last general of TWSID who did not appear in the original game. So... Se are technically the villain
Claude implies that he met us in the woods, maybe we helped out the house leaders before Jeralt's mercenaries learnt about the situation and rushed in to help, y'know the tutorial battle
3 houses have SOOO much lore left untapped. They did a good job of having a ton of lore... now its all up to tapping it. Some might see that as "milking", but idk, i prefer it that way, law of conservation of detail eh?
Age of Calamity really hit me hard, and it seems this could be very much a game like that. A good mix of Warriors with FE stuff in it (which the first Fire Emblem Warriors did), but with a powerful story liken to what they did with Age of Calamity.

I was hoping for a chance to have a happy ending for everyone and am uncertain on how to feel about Byleth being an antagonist but other than that this looks amazing
I am personally looking forward to the antagonistic Byleth. Three Hopes should lean into the sides of a war thing, by having the player figjt against another version of themselves is an interesting way of furthering that idea
As much as I want a golden route, it kind of makes it more impactful if there isn’t. Part of what made Fates feel like it didn’t matter as much was existence of Revelations.
I mean BEING FAIR, in every route Byleth is the key to that side winning so it kinda stands to reason that a timeline where Byleth sides with no one and acts as "the bigger bad" in order to force them to unite is the best way to achieve a *happy ending* (assuming the 3 routes take a sort of opposite approach to the original game and join in the middle instead of splitting)
I am actually crying a little bit. I love love LOVE Three Houses so much so I am so glad we get to revisit Fodlan. I love how class changes and the slice of life aspect of the original appears to be making a comeback. Shez is very attractive (Byleth was as well, but male Shez is on another level). I'm super curious as to what the story will entail, Byleth being the villain is so wild but so cool. Maybe we will be fighting for the factions that Byleth didn't join in this game. Stoked to see Flayn again, but it's a shame she hasn't got a new design. Holst is not as sexy as I had hoped he would be. Count Bergliez definitely looks intimidating, though! Good to know Lorenz still has a horrendous haircut. Some things never change.
I’m so upset Flayn looks exactly the same 😭 yeah I literally have fan art of what someone thought Holst might look like as my wallpaper right now and it’s not THAT. But he still looks really nice though. Also which one are you seeing as Count Bergliez? I guess that guy with the gauntlets? Also the hair isn’t AS horrendous lol
@@rhettmitchell Yeah someone else commented that they thought the guy Holst was fighting is Count Bergliez and given the hair color, that does seem likely! Lorenz’s hair is better than his academy hair, but his timeskip hair has always been really cool to me and this hair is definitely a downgrade lmao
Interesting to say the least. Protagonist to antagonist is an awesome concept but also a double edged sword because it can make or break the game. I'd like if Byleth traveled back in time over and over, similarly to how players most likely played different routes, trying to avoid the bloodshed that is to come but then despairs at the impossibility of this ordeal.
The whole; "the villain of the new game is the hero of the last game," thing reminds me of when the Prototype games did the same thing. It's gonna be so sad if we have to cut down our green haired lad or lass.
With my old theories out the door here comes my new ones, I suspect that "The Ashen Demon" is going to be a antagonist for a portion of the game but we obtain them later on with a common threat
My bet is that the game is based on a timeline that Byleth never became a professor therefore Byleth remains a cold mercenary and s/he will for the other factions opposed to you.
@@alexroche7175 i think it is more about Shez personal rivalry with Byleth rather than Byleth being any different. Antagonist of dtory doesn't mean "villain", after all. Man, this game already looked awesome from the announcement trailer, but this just sealed the deal for me! I never woulda thought Byleth would become the antagonist (bet theres more to this that we’ll find out?) and we can actually change our class. I never thought that would be possible in a warriors game!
I wonder if Byleth went crazy from having to play the game over and over again. "I have something to ask of you. Lately, Lady Eisner has been acting suspicious. She's been mumbling about a 100% speedrun, but I don't know what she's referring to. Please find out for me, would you?"
Well, its not the first time they do something similar to this. In Dynasty Warriors 8 your moveset changes based on your weapon, not character, with each character having some unique traits to their main weapon. So, the moveset might be based around classes here.
"It's just ONE Merc!!" Yeah, one Merc who can travel back in time as many times as necessary to kill you. I wonder how they'll implement Byleth as the villain? So excited for this game!

I had the same reservations about persona 5 strikers but they definitely did a good job making it feel like a persona game with some warriors mechanics, hoping the same happens here
Just by seeing that you can multiclass, change your skills, select the troops and all like in FETH, I do believe it'll be more like Persona 5 Strikers, where the game has the combat of a Musou, but with more mechanics and stuff from the main one
I was never a big fan of the musou games either. My first one was fire emblem warriors which i binged. Great game, fun mechanics (especially playing together with the wife). Love what they did with Persona 5 Strikers too, so im confident this one will be even better! They also made sure to add more social elements, something that was sorely missing in FEW.
The care and detail put into these Nintendo themed Warriors games, the ones with parallel storylines, has been amazing. This game seems to have a real FE feel to it, not just a skin put on a Warriors game and I think that makes such a huge difference, something that people should look into.
@@Ohana9999 I disagree, the between mission options you have I feel are more from FE than Warriors. Also seemed class options were taken from FE too. But if you're referring to the fighting hoards of enemies, then yeah but it is a Warriors game so I don't think the basic structure is what should be focused on. I think you gotta look at all of the other things besides what makes it a Warriors game (because it is one)
Ah. So glad that they didn't stick to giving Byleth a canon gender. Considering the box art, I thought this would be locked to a specific canon, wherein Shez would be Male and Byleth would be Female. I'm so glad you can choose either. Wished they implemented this on Legends Arceus where you are Male and your "Rival" was also male. Then again, that would make some sort of paradox.
I hope Byleth doesn't stay the antagonist and that they are playable. It might be an unpopular opinion, but I really like them. i dont rly think the crest of ernest needs a backstory. anna is a wacky fan service (not like that) character, why not just give her a unique crest to make her a more interesting unit? thats probably all the thought that went into it and i think thats fine
@@Gamer-vs3xl I can't say For Sure since the game isn't out yet, but we can go off the precedent of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. In that game, it absolutely needed you to play through Breath of the Wild to understand anything that was going on past the two-third's mark as they introduced a bunch of characters with no context whatsoever. The game was built off the assumption you played through the original. Based on the cover art alone, you should probably know Byleth's whole deal (The Ashen Demon) before starting this game. Both Age of Calamity and Three Hopes create a new timeline of events, so theoretically, they are completely playable alone. But since this might play as three different timelines, you might want to know how the original timelines went as huge twists might be revealed without dramatic flair since people are used to them now. Characters could be introduced without the supporting narrative the first game gave them. In short: Three Houses was a fantastic game with a huge cast of complex characters, and I absolutely recommend playing that game first if you are at all open to the gameplay. If not all three routes, at least one of them.(Doing the First Act three times over is rough, but the payout is worth it.) Your favorite house will probably be the one you gravitate towards first anyways.(If playing the Black Eagles, remember to Go With Edelgard if she asks you to!)
can confirm what Seth said. learning curve isnt really in mashing the buttons, but rather to know what strategically the better options are and what combos you should be using in what situation, which i can say is definitely very fun to play
Koei Tecmo really nailed the strategic aspect of a Fire Emblem game in delegating orders to your units. I just hope they give the characters more uniqueness in their movesets. There was a lot of asset reuse in the first Warriors game, I'd love to see everyone shine in their own way a lot more
@@trueblade39 I doubt it. I'm sure this is going to be how it works: Every class has its own moveset. And then any character can be any class, as long as they meet the proficiency requirements. That's how classes worked in Three Houses, so that's how I expect them to work here. And then characters with unique classes like the Lords each get their own unique movesets. If we're lucky, the second in command of each faction will get a unique moveset too. That said, I'm not without hope, since they seemed to have brought the weapon triangle back, but my hopes aren't high.
Great, they included MC multiclassing and wielding multiple weapons! That was one of my biggest hopes. No more relying on swordlocked lords to fill in the blank for side battles!
2:37 Edelgard is fighting IN FRONT OF Dimitri and not WITH him!!! So excited to see how this plays out in the story!!! Also I rewatched the announcement trailer, and I just noticed that Byleth was never shown as playable. Does this mean we’re actually going to fight Byleth as our main enemy? @@anthonyteneyck76 Let's not jump in conclusions, we don't know if Byleth became main villain or not. In fact, I've come up with theory about this, and it's seems something happen to Byleth. Either Byleth has been mind control (as first trailer show that Byleth saw something), someone else pretending to be Byleth (if you recalled about what hapoened with Monica hence Kronya), alternate version of Byleth, or he/she did it for the reason just like what happened with Chris Redfield in Resident Evil Village. And besides you can still play as Byleth as we see select gender for them, so let's wait and see what happens next, and if Byleth really were being control, then I wouldn't be surprised if we can help Byleth.
Technically Byleth is also the villain in three houses, depending on whose pov it is. Like okay, it's not ours since we play Byleth, but the other lords when Byleth chooses a route also become our enemies. I think us being with Shez now, experiencing another pov is not about Byleth being an antagonist or a villain. It's a change of perspective. And honestly I live for that.
Byleth is never the antagonist/villain in Three Houses. Since Byleth is the player’s perspective, anyone considered as the enemy is the antagonist/villain. Whether you feel they’re in the right or not.
@@Baal_in_Dark that's the whole point! It's about whose pov it is that we're talking. Right now we see the protagonist is Shez meaning the Ashen Demon is our enemy, but right before this trailer we thought it was the opposite... It's really interesting to see what perspective can do
@@_larchiviste_ I mean that’s right. But what I’m arguing is against the fact that Byleth shouldn’t really be considered the antagonist or villain in Three Houses just because in the opponent’s pov they are their antagonist. Otherwise other player characters should be considered the antagonist/villain in every video game, because they are the antagonist of the villains/antagonist in their perspective.
Nintendo’s collaborations with KT have been a gateway drug to Musous for me ever since Age of Calamity. I can’t stop playing them now and the Nintendo ones in particular are always the highest quality.

I absolutely love that it seems like this game will dive more into bits of the story that were left without a proper deep dive in Three Houses. Specifically Byleth's life pre Garreg Mach and the agarthans/twsitd.
Since the goddess like figure that appears to be assisting Shez looks like an Agarthan, i wonder if we get to use Agarthan technologies like the nukes, robots; etc.
Claude: I love how you bump into someone in the woods one night and suddenly you're living under the same roof the next. Still Claude: This world cries out for change, while you keep it shackled to the past. Edelgard: I'll be counting on you as always in the battles to come. Still Edelgard: You were the cog that was missing from the turnweel, the one final push that pushed me to act. Dimiriti: Everyone! sharpen your blades and prepare for the battles ahead. Still Dimirti: We can finally avenge all of those who have fallen. Shez: I need to get stronger if I'm going to do what I need to do. Still Shez: Am I going to be next? Shez again: Trust me no regrets here. Flayn: All this bloodshed, Will it never come to an end? Arval: I'm the closet ally you have. Remember, we're partners in destiny. Ps: What Claude says is very interesting. Does this mean that they meet Shez on a mission for the church? Also, if you haven't noticed you see part of Ferdinand by Huburt in one of the cutscenes. One more thing: Is Claude's brother going to be an enemy? Dedue calls Dimitri "Your majesty" Does this mean that Dimiriti becomes king?!
Minor spoilers ahead, but I think in a tweet by the game’s official twitter account, they said Shez met the three lords while they were running away from the bandits.
I got it when Three houses came out and it has became my all-time favorite game and I still play it to this day. And I always end up picking Claude's house.
I just want to know if this has action game controls like AoC or is it more like other Warriors games. I loved AoC dodges and break systems but I don’t think just the button smashing of Warriors games is on the same level of gameplay.
Put it on a higher difficulty and see if "button mashing" will get you anywhere. Lol I swear you musou scrubs always say this while literally playing in the mode that allows you to play on auto pilot.
If I'm right about this, then there could be a total of 6 stories: 3 for Shez and 3 for Byleth, which gives this game far more content than the original 3 Houses 🏡 Also: my girl Mercedes is back 🤗 and I LOVE all the redesigns! One last thing: Claude's father and Holst are confirmed playable!
Hold your horses, “far more content than the original 3 Houses”? This is a Warriors game, even with branching pathways there’s no way it’ll have more content than or be longer than 3H.
Claude's dad and Holst aren't confirmed playable at all. We don't even know that's Claude's father, it could be his older brother. All we know is that they're in the game and could be NPC/enemies.
Claude is always so fun to be around. But yeah this is cool to see. 3 Houses already felt like a Warriors game (it even reused plenty of FEW stuffs), but it became turn based instead. It's cool to see it in Dynasty Warriors form now.
I just noticed that the themes that play sound more heroic than depressing. Maybe they’ll finally not kill each other and maybe possibly help each other out?
Edelgard: "I'm counting on you."
Dimitri: "Sharpen your blades and be ready."
Claude: " _Always talk to strangers. Move in with them immediately afterwards._ "
I love Claude. Such a great guy.
Claude be spitting facts tho
Well, at least we know Claude is still Claude.
Same as always, like in the Three Houses House introduction.
Edelgard: "The Empire needs you!"
Dimitri: "The Blue Lions walk the true path of justice!"
Claude: "You? Me? Golden Deer? We could be great together!"
Claude is basically describing AirBnB's business model.

Unless byleth did become one and shez became a student. After all there are some parts of the trailer with the students in their uniforms
Same. Always wanted a merc route. Would've been interesting.
Shez seems to only interact with the students after the war begins. So Byleth may still go there but Shez does something to make Byleth mia. The church also seems to be against all 3 factions too

- And the routes are all split to three again? I think?
- The soundtrack, immaculate as always

Minor edit:
0:55 is Ferdinand Von Aegir on far right
Also at around 1:48 you can spot what looks to be bernadetta on the map??
I think we get to choose what side of the story we see
Also you can see Hilda brother fight
Its possible we do have a counter time mechanic as the new mc has a sothis

Too much thinking. Its a Warriors game. 9 out of 10 it will dissapoint you. But sometimes you get lucky.

I think they are pulling our legs with Byleth. The 1st trailer had Sothis talking about taking revenge just to soothe your heart and not doing it for someone else. Maybe trying to convince Shez not to follow through with revenge. But then again Sothis should only be talking to Byleth…so I definitely think Byleth is going to be playable or at most mid game final boss, but not the true end game antagonist.
exactly
It's gonna do what SMT Apocalypse did, Byleth is still important but time mumbo jumbo shenanigans (this white looking demon lady/Dagda) causes someone who was meant to die (shez) to survive thus causing a series of events that completely change the story

Its possible Dedue is fighting Kingdom soldiers because of Cornelia
I think they are trying to make different like they did in hyrule warriors age of calamity. So perhaps this might be something new and interesting to play. Or at least, that's what I said.

As someone who was struggling with the UI of orders during Age of Calamity, I’m so excited to see this grid system for the map AND you can actually order the units to attack the enemy there or follow some other command, which wasn’t possible in AoC.
actually that was in the original fe warriors
Looks like the kinda went with Attack On Titan 2 version of the UI. Which is very cool.

@@theycallmebad same, i was so hyped, but byleth as a villain and 3 paths again just doesn't sit right with me oof
Byleth as a villain in this game is really bizarre and strange twist.
That’s what I suspect. There’s more than what we’re seeing, as per any Fire Emblem game.
*Story Select*
*Scarlet* *Last* *Azure* *Golden*

I mean BEING FAIR, in every route Byleth is the key to that side winning so it kinda stands to reason that a timeline where Byleth sides with no one and acts as "the bigger bad" in order to force them to unite is the best way to achieve a *happy ending*
(assuming the 3 routes take a sort of opposite approach to the original game and join in the middle instead of splitting)

Stoked to see Flayn again, but it's a shame she hasn't got a new design. Holst is not as sexy as I had hoped he would be. Count Bergliez definitely looks intimidating, though!
Good to know Lorenz still has a horrendous haircut. Some things never change.

And who knows, Byleth is just a mercenary before garreg Mach so maybe they were just recruited
Especially if protagonist IS a villain

Man, this game already looked awesome from the announcement trailer, but this just sealed the deal for me! I never woulda thought Byleth would become the antagonist (bet theres more to this that we’ll find out?) and we can actually change our class. I never thought that would be possible in a warriors game!
Splatoon 2 in Octo Expansion once pulled this with Agent 3.
I wonder if Byleth went crazy from having to play the game over and over again.

Well, its not the first time they do something similar to this. In Dynasty Warriors 8 your moveset changes based on your weapon, not character, with each character having some unique traits to their main weapon. So, the moveset might be based around classes here.
Oh this game looks sick. Three Houses was incredible so I’m glad for more action in Fódlan.

I was never a big fan of the musou games either. My first one was fire emblem warriors which i binged. Great game, fun mechanics (especially playing together with the wife). Can't WAIT for this game. I loved 3 Houses, and I hope this will keep that same feeling alive!
Do you recommend pre ordering this game for someone who hasn't played fire emblem, or am I better off with 3 houses?
Never played a musou game before, but I love everything about Fire Emblem Three Houses. This got me so hyped, definitely on my wishlist.
They're different. Once you get used to the attack-button patterns and seizing land and Bases from your enemy, they're very very fun.
can confirm what Seth said. learning curve isnt really in mashing the buttons, but rather to know what strategically the better options are and what combos you should be using in what situation, which i can say is definitely very fun to play
That said, I'm not without hope, since they seemed to have brought the weapon triangle back, but my hopes aren't high.
the previous Warriors game is very good, I love it. It is button-mashing friendly too so it's perfect to unwind after a long day.
