His rant about natural selection and evolution just makes me angry. The reason we have empathy and kindness in the first place is because it was advantageous to have such traits. The reason we don't kill our elderly is because elderly humans tend to have more life experience and wisdom than younger humans, and we value that experience, so they're good to have alive so we can learn from them. And mourning is also something we don't like to do, yet it seems that grief is something inherent to us and some other species, as crows are also known to mourn their dead. Why would we "enforce natural selection" when we know it will cause a negative reaction in the people around us? Evangelists like this guy just don't get natural selection. If it worked like he says it did, then we would be emotionless, psychopathic killing machines. Tellingly, the people that DO act like that tend to be the ones we lock up in jail, or execute. Hm, I wonder why that'd be a good idea...
What is telling is that most Christians accept evolution and natural selection and on a numbers game there are more Christians that accept evolution than Atheists; so often when a Evangelical Christian equates Evolution with Atheism they are simply wrong, misinformed or lying.
What's good and evil? I don't want certain things to happen to me or my loved ones, therefore I discourage it and I encourage that we as a society should punish people that do these things so it doesn't happen again. 13:02 I think she checkmate him with that. That's, at least part, of why he went to such an extreme, gross example. "To or to not diddle kids" should not be a moral quandary.
Never engage with people who control the microphone. They get to speak all they want, and only let you speak when they feel like it. (He perfectly displays this at 7:48) If you're going to engage with people like this, bring your own amp. Altho honestly, what I'd like to bring instead is a device that just feeds their own words back to them with a slight delay. It makes it *very* hard for then to speak at all. I really hate when they make this silly "evolution says we should kills the weak" claim. In the 1st place, evolution is a history book. It says how we got here. It says nothing about what any being *should* do. Additionally, the evolutionary "strength" of humanity is our social behavior. Furthermore, atheism and evolution are separate things. There are people who believe either one and not the other, or both, or neither. Indeed, of those who believe evolution, by far most are religious. 12:30 He's completely mistaken here. A god doesn't give "absolute morality". A god is a subject, so his morality is just as subjective as mine. 13:50 Odd, that he'd try to use Mohamed as an example of lacking God-given absolute morality. You know, seeing as Mo was speaking for the same God this guy is speaking for. 16:50 If God took you out of the darkness, then you have to accept that it was God who put you there to start with. As the omnipotent, omniscient creator of all, he is responsible for all.
His very flawed definition of evolution is actually the ideology of that famous CREATIONIST A. Hitler. His final solution didn’t just comprise of disposing of jews, but also of disabled people.

My experience with people who are addicted and go the christian route is that it doesn't end well. They either go back to being addicted and go harder than before or go full on christian and have a mental breakdown later in life. This is because nothing is resolved. Addiction is just being replaced by faith.
Ironically, part of the process of my becoming atheist was my own experience quitting drinking. The weirdly culty AA stuff sent me looking for evidence based solutions, which led me to neuroscience and that was the proverbial slippery slope to skepticism. Kind of a two for one bargain!
It never ceases to astound me, the levels of proud, preening, willful ignorance people like this are so anxious to display to the world at large. Microphone Man may want to consult his Bible: "Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?"
Every time! They just ignore the second part, “reduce harm,” and focus on the increase wellbeing. It’s as dishonest as it gets. It tells me they only want to win an argument. They don’t care about having a conversation and learning something. And if all you wanna do is win an argument, that doesn’t say a whole lot about your own respect for your own beliefs.
Well I've learnt a couple of things while watching this video (no, the information is not in the video, I went and looked them up), which is that the Silurian period is named after a Welsh tribe, the Silures, and the Ordovician is named after a Celtic tribe, the Ordovices.
"I don't respect your position because it kills me" Aka, I don't have compassion, understanding or empathy for other peoples points of views, beliefs or ways of life. Or simply "it is all about how I feel, how you feel is irrelevant to me." Kind of comes across as selfish which is considered bad for a Christian to be? Though some churches don't actually teach compassion, empathy and altruism. They teach what the book says is right is right and what the book says is wrong is wrong, plus the priest's interpretation. Religion often claims the moral high ground and that atheists can't be moral or good, yet here we are with an individual unable to extend compassion or empathy beyond his personal feelings. Personally I think it's moral to be compassionate, empathetic and considerate of other's and care about others well being. All this requires is taking the other's person's feelings seriously. And I judge a good person as someone who does these things which leads to them being respectful, considerate and avoids trampling others boundaries. For me it's about a person's character, not their beliefs, clothes they wear, who they dare, etc. But nah a book says a person is good if they do what the book says. It's irrelevant iff the person does good things for others if they don't believe in the book. Yeah makes total moral sense. And a person can do hurtful things to others and still be considered good because it's by the book. Yeah, makes sense.....
I'm like the woman where I don't give two shits what you believe in as long as it doesn't effect others and a Christian friend I have has the same view so we can talk about religion without it being a debate and I listen to him way more than pastors what I'm getting at is that I think more Christians should be more like my friend
Everybody in the world rather likes a smug person instead a lazy one at least smug people work hard so they have a very good reason to be right with doing so and have even gone so far as to earn it too.
If I allow his premise that Christian belief offers comfort to the afflicted, a pathway out of addiction, and hope for the future, that still doesn't establish the existence of his god. It is evidence that sincere beliefs can affect our mood, our attitudes, and our actions. It doesn't speak to the truth of that belief. Trying to justify his belief in god without providing actual evidence of existence is lazy.
Ironically, him calling the guy "lazy" is in and of itself a lazy tactic to keep his attention by insulting him. Hypocrisy, thy name is street preacher.

This guy is worse than Ray Comfort. He memorized a script and spouts it randomly. The woman put him in his place.
I love this. Some guy out there with his scriptures talking about what Jesus says. Then immediately attacks some stranger on the street and insults by calling him lazy, then levels accusations about him without knowing if any of them are true. Soooo.....dishonesty and not treating others the way he wants to be treated (because I'm betting he wouldn't like it if someone insulted him and lied about him. In public. On a loudspeaker). In other words, the opposite of what Jesus supposedly said in the gospels. I guess we can tack on hypocrisy to his list of offenses.
The funny part of this is how Mr. Street Preacher continues to rant about how atheists don't do any research while making it clear he has no clue what defines an atheist, or has a single clue about biological evolution (among other things). Oops. Guess he didn't do any research. 😸😸😸
I say play their game. Stand right next to the “preacher” and point at him as you scream “false prophet! Satan’s minion!” at the top of your lungs over and over and watch them lose their shit. I promise, they will.
Well, as Jesus once said: "Burn the other cheek. Ain't nobody allowed to slap you but me, and bitch I come not to bring peace but a sword to kill MFers, in peace and love AMEN".
The parasite's insane ranting is just as coherent as his magic book: not even a little bit. It's so typical of public christians that honestly he comes across as lazy and derivative.
@@mickeyhadley4281 -- that would be priceless to actually witness. 😆😆🤣

And why do I value this? Because I evolved into it. Pretty simple.
It is what it is in every civilization.
This guy just doesn't get it
His definition of evolution is actually the ideology of the late creationist A. Hitler and his nazi followers.

My experience with people who are addicted and go the christian route is that it doesn't end well. Well I've learnt a couple of things while watching this video (no, the information is not in the video, I went and looked them up), which is that the Silurian period is named after a Welsh tribe, the Silures, and the Ordovician is named after a Celtic tribe, the Ordovices.
"I don't respect your position because it kills me"
Aka, I don't have compassion, understanding or empathy for other peoples points of views, beliefs or ways of life.
Or simply "it is all about how I feel, how you feel is irrelevant to me."
Kind of comes across as selfish which is considered bad for a Christian to be?

I hope no one lets him be alone with kids.
Well, I am lazy, but I don't think it's related.
Being lazy is reading one book and let it control every thought and action in your life.
