hey this was early 1986 Jason! See 'Take it Like a Man' for details of the production in LA. And Waking up was mainly done in the spring of 1984, a good 2 yrs before this. 'Waking up' era musically was brill in my eyes, very polished but unfortunately overshadowed by the tensions of massive fame at a very quick pace and an equally fast backlash. And - the release was not properly managed by the band and Virgin.
