Honestly it's such a masterpiece. Easily the best wow parody of all time. The lyrics expertly written. The music video editing is professional and inspiring. Simply iconic.
I love this song like so many of the other old parodies from all around. I really wish that the time where people made such content wasn't over but nowdays there are barely people left doing it. Wich is understandable. The game changed, people and their lives changed. RUclips itself changed a lot. Its simply sad. At least these old gems stay and we can always go back to them.
ICC.... that's where I learned to raid... and when I ran Ulduar in Cata for transmog, I was named the Queen of Pugs on Durotan. Wrath was amazing and we can learn a lot from it. :')
I use the age of this video to remind me how old I was when I was playing wow. Every year people get more horrified. (Was given first taste at 5 years old then played properly at 6 years old with my own characters. I'm turning 25 soon. 20 years of wow soon.)
I had a guy like this in my guild back in Wrath. He was a tank and his ego was simillar to this guys. "If you fuck up, I kick you." He had his little group of I think 4 other people and they were raiding all the time. The only people online more than him was the Guild Master and me ("high officer"), so the highest rank just under the guild master. When ICC happened I got promoted to the guild master by popular vote, I was caring for the guild, we had some nice competitions, where rewards was gold from my own pocket. so people voted me to be the next one as the previous guild master quit WoW, because of family and money ralted issues. That was actually just few days before ICC rolled out. He was PVPer so he did not really care. So this Tank guy, he was in EVERY raid. At one point I personally accepted a group of about 5 people who just hit level cap for the first time. These guys made a group and asked if someone won't go ICC with them, on TeamSpeak or whatever software we used back then. This guy was the first one to say yes, he will tank. So him, 5 newbies to raiding and 4 other guys, one of them was, now newly promoted "High Officer", so pretty much my right hand. I was leveling my alt Mage in Northrend, I stopped for a break in Dalaran, to fix my armor after dying and just to relax, (I loved Dalaran). My alt was not in my guild, I wanted to have a minute of peace from constant complaints of those, average active 300 members. Let's say being a Guild Master of one of the biggest Horde guilds was a thing back then. And I see my high officer in Dalaran, I whispered him, like what happened. They surely did not finish ICC in like 40 minutes while teaching newbies how to play. This Tank dude went on a rampage, he called the two girls cunts, for ruining his raids and the other three newbies left the guild. So I logged into my main and went to TeamSpeak, got into room with the two girls and my officer to explain to me what the fuck happened. Not only he called them cunts, noobs, idiots and hundred other disgusting insults, trhough the whole raid he trashtalked me and the previous Guild Master, (when I was a high officer we refused to give him 1000 gold for "repairs" - 1000g was worth a lot in Wrath). So I got him into my room, privately, I asked him what the hell happened and he called my a jack ass, mommas boy, he told me to jerk off. I got seriously pissed. He was easily one of the best Tanks in horde, very few could match him. This was over the line. He got kicked instantly. All his gear he stored in the guild bank was sold. And I personally got the two girls into my room, apologised for his behavior and gave each of them few hundred gold and offered to help them the next time they are going ICC. The moral is, if you act like an entitled arsehole "If I get tired of you, the whole raid is over..." and simillar, you can be the best fucking WoW player, but most people hate you. Like the song though.
Michael Tenner How come? All I did was read what you had to say, and to be fair, fresh players on WoW can be a bit annoying! BUT! This ''tank'' guy went all out nuts about it - not cool! You did the right thing by punishing him, it might be a sumbagy move, but hey, he asked for it!
