I believe music industries shouldn't exist. An entity that discriminates musicians and generes, and tell the masses what sells good and what don't...Mainstream music is so shitty right now because the music industry itself is selling a product, not art. Everything right now is planified with a commercial analysis, and that product has no soul.
It's sad when little to nothing can change in some "want to be critics". I have seen the most famous of people play for small crowds, and sell no CDs or Vinyl that night. Bruce use to do it all the time in Jersey. GROW UP.
Dude, this band is perfect. Literally perfect. And Brittney is absolutely spot on. She makes it look effortless when it really, really isn't. Now I miss home even more!
Holy shit her voice sounds fucking perfect. That is really damn impressive to hit all those notes dead on live. A lot of singers would chicken out and change the runs. Wow.
Who is the Jabroney that disliked this true metal band? The sound quality isn't great, but you see a totally live performance with no filtering or dubs. Makes me want to see them even more than before!
If people say Canada doesn't produce good metal, they obviously don't have decent taste \m/ awesome band from Victoria, B.C. only a few hours south of my hometown :)
@@locketom that is one artist I haven't been able to get into. Tried checking it his solo stuff and stuff with strapping Young lad but I just can't get into it.
@@Kronix86 yeah I'm not a fan of Strapping Young Lad, but I can appreciate his solo stuff. But I know he's revered in the metal world for the people who like his flavour of metal.
Been listening to these guys since demons and they've only gotten better. Apex is hands down album of the year 2017 and I'm stoked to finally see them live on the fucking boat
This is not prog,it is pure old school power metal with new sound sound and really good musicians. Yes it can do all kind of metal(music) with the right pickups!
Badass just seems like typical female vocalist they can sing high notes for days just doesn't have a lot of punch still she and the band are fucking awesome
I just feel sorry for them cramped into that very small space, hardly can stand straight... jumping is not even comes to play.. any kind of sound (music) released into this small room is creating a horrible result... as we can hear "clearly". Unfortunately only the enthusiasm made it a good event :S and it's not the fault of the band ofc.
Amazing band, great performance... too bad his guitar sounds kinda shitty though :/ I'm not a guitar tekkie by any stretch but something about his sound is off. Not enough power, sounds like he's playing a Fisher Price guitar.
Great song, but the album was like meh. All songs had a a similar sound to me and none were memorable save this one. Must be a power metal thing I guess. They can play their instruments thought that's for sure.
Most of the tempos and some of the rhythm were a bit similar, but the hooks in each songs' choruses as well as breakdowns were all very catchy and memorable to me. Many of them get pleasantly stuck in my head through out the week.
I listened to the album once and thought the same thing. Then I listened to it a few more times, because although I'd gotten a vibe of similarity throughout, something was itching the back of my mind. In the last couple of months it's become one of my favorite albums of all time. I'm rating it up there with Bruce Dickinson's The Chemical Wedding, as a total album. Part of the enjoyment is understanding that the whole album, from beginning to end, tells a story which loops back around to the beginning. YMMV, but it grew on me quite a lot this summer.
@@0num4 yep, totally a story exactly like Maiden's classic "7th son of a 7th son" album...Come to think of if, those 2 albums could be stories about the same "Clan" or "village"!🤟
Excellent! This band is so talented, and write such crisp and melodic songs. They should be much more popular. They deserve to play in larger venues!
I can totally see them headlining at a place like Wacken
This solo was a little cringy to me in awakening. But none of the others are. They are really awesome. I think they are definitely gaining popularity
Con todo el amor del mundo: les faltan temas. Es muy buena banda y tienen buenos temas, pero no muchos al "nivel de popularidad" de este...
There is so much talent on that stage!!
Its sad when a band of this caliber is playing tiny venues and selling a few thousand copies. Music biz is at its lows.
They should go to European countries like Finland . Metal is popular there.
I would love to see them in a venue this size. Excellent band delightful power metal

@@andrearenee7845 wow you are angry and speaking of a time in which you only read about. Weird. You and "Bruce" are first name basis too? Incredible.
I love how she has very little tension in her face doing these powerful songs, great control

You got to be kidding me...she sounds that good live?!
and with such bad sound ... immagine her with good xpensive acoustics
a lot of volume in those lungs
*they sound that good
a year later, I'm just finding out about this band, and your comment is literally my current mouth wide tf open thought
Yes Brittney is the real deal live and Grant and Andrew shred like hell. Fantastic live band.
this band needs more recognition, just found them a few months ago and adore them
It made me smile watching her perform with a smile on her face. Definitely helped me while I was having a bad day. Thanks guys
This is music from metal fans for metal fans! Pure passion 😃🤟
this band should be playing arenas, jesus christ this is pure fire

2:10 someone gets their phone knocked out of their hands! The power of the music!!!
Finally someone mentioned that :D
hahahaha
I'm dead lmao
Holy shit!!! I fuxxing love the vocal!!!! I think I fall in LOVE now......
Wow she’s amazing!!
The Matriarch is easily my favorite song off the album
Who is the Jabroney that disliked this true metal band? The sound quality isn't great, but you see a totally live performance with no filtering or dubs. Makes me want to see them even more than before!
Some jabroney and a tone deaf mamalook! You don't often hear vocals that crisp in a bar gig! Wow
Insane how perfect these guys seem to be live, can't wait for the world to open again so I can go see them!
Very high on my list of bands I wanna see live her voice is insane
Just came across this band wow they are great and what a vocalist
Have only recently discovered this group, I need them to do a UK tour!!! They sound so good live! 🤟🏻

Can't forget Devin Townsend coming out of New Westminster

Man, they know how to bring it live! The mix was very good too.
I discovered this group this year and there amazing. Missed them in Mtl. I hope they come back.
I was was right in the front. It was the most amazing show
And I was right beside you ! Awsome show indeed!
I'm a simple man. I see Brit Slayes smiling, I click.
The clarity and quality of this video is great. You are about where I was in the crowd for the Raleigh, NC show.

Damn! I want to see them live SO bad ! Please come to TX
Sweet baby Jesus! This is Epic!
Great!!! \m/ Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Why am I putting my fist in the air? Why did I say F yeah out loud?
I love powerful bands on small stages.
Impressive, just like the album recording. Excellent performance!
WHO WOULS DOWN VOTE THIS? This is amazing!!
That whole setup killed their perfomance. Would LOVE to see them at a great stage like at wacken
She's so fucking good.
Brutal, beautiful song!
Saw them at Armstrong Metal Fest in Armstrong BC, great show
Ok must go see them live.
That solo had a whiff of Paul Gilbert. Great playing man..
Please come to Wilkes barre Pa!
Many power metal vocalists look unnatural on the stage even though they can sing very well but this is not about Brittney! Love the performance!
Fuck that solo was flawless! So good!
Extraordinary!
That stage is too small for those giants
looks like the best fucking place for a concert
Can a telecaster do progressive metal? Yes.... yes it can.
right? that answers that
This is not prog,it is pure old school power metal with new sound sound and really good musicians. Yes it can do all kind of metal(music) with the right pickups!
@denny b a s/s/s Tele is mostly a nashville Tele, which makes this kind of guitar for metal music even more odd
Always beware a stage opening you might hit your head on. Napalm has them and jinger playing some pretty small venues. Sad with that much talent.
But there's the added benefit of the closeness and feel of a small venue...so there's pros and cons
I hope someday they visit Mexico
Brittney replied one of my comments, she said they will come this year.
this band is awesome. reminds me of iron maiden, but with a super hot chick singer.the guitar solo is super melodic. this band is good as fuck
Great fucking band.
PORRA que banda afude
I'm just here for Grant's sick kicks.
😭
Didn't know they were Canadian!
C'est vraiment bon!!
Oui!

Britt souds with little dificults, the studio make a voice with a little more brilliant stile, however they are one of the best new Bands, yeahh
The chorus is really missing those harmonies and the bass fill was pretty messy. Other than that this is amazing
Pretty sure that it's a fill-in/touring bassist
Badass just seems like typical female vocalist they can sing high notes for days just doesn't have a lot of punch still she and the band are fucking awesome
🤦♂️
Gina linetti has come a long way
That venue is way too small and cramped for their sound and act. This kind of shit is meant for giant arenas!
If it was sold out your argument would be valid, but it wasn't
@@MontrealMetalShows I'm talking about the stage.
Smaller venues are better for metal shows.
They should to Iron Maiden covers
How about Maiden do Unleash the Archers covers instead. Much more fun
They did one!!! Out of the silent planet!!! Check it out!!! It's mind-blowing...
Her voice is way cooler than the singer of the Iron Maidens tribute band.
>tfw youll never get to see UTA in a shitty club

Okay, this is really really good but she totally skipped all of the screams...
Bruce Air raid siren Dickinson, move aside.
There's a new goat in town and her name is Brittney Fucking Slayes 🤘
