Holding up a woman and her newborn baby from getting to the hospital. Most big movements these days are shilled by organisations you'd be shocked to find out. Always follow the money. It seems these protests are doing the exact opposite for most people. It’s truly a sad thing because we should be taking climate change seriously and this almost makes a joke of it
@@strawbillieandpeachez it's not just their actions but also calling it climate change is so vague people call bullshit, the climate changes all the time. Society has a nasty problem of softening words which hurts everyone's causes.
its emotional and not well thought out. Absolutely has to stop. I'm 100% behind an effort to protect the environment but that starts with helping people not hurting them. PR is important to get people behind you, this is the antithesis of that.
Ok, so how DO we protest climate change? What's the "correct" way to do things? We're all so focussed on being "right" and "approachable" and "easy to understand", and its gotten us nowhere
@@LeftPhilip Attacking things of cultural value for an unrelated cause may seem like a good idea to get attention if you do it once. If you do it every day the effect wears down. It's like getting new neighbours and you see/hear them running down the street screaming at the top of their lungs. You would be concerned and get to them to know what's going on. If the neighbours does that every other day you'll get annoyed and just label them as the "crazy neighbour". If the screaming prevents your toddler from sleeping you'll even get pissed and don't care about their reason for screaming anymore.
They aren't helping the cause, all they do is just annoy the 💩 out of everyone. You can protest without ruining precious artefacts or people's lives Love your channel btw 😊
Is there really any point in doing such extreme things, even going to prison, and hurting important legacies and people? Sure, climate change is a huge issue, but I just hope things will move in a positive direction!😓
Really disappointing to see this video from you. I wrote a lot in a comment ive now deleted because i dont see the point. People have been protesting climate change peacefully for decades, with very little progress. What are they supposed to do? It reminds me of the argument of the white moderate (the second thought's video) , and for that im sorry i am unsubbing.
Thank You for speaking about this!!🤍🫂 as an artist and wiccan these acts are so heartbreaking; works of art and beauty from artists long past, oldest sacred druidic monument that actively today get ceremonies. I know big companies and humans actions are causing problems for the earth, but destroying these physical pieces of history isn’t going to help. Vandalizing art and history may be eye catching, but how are those actions actually helping a good cause, not at all.
BILLLLLLLIE prime A-One journalism and research as always 😊🎉
Thank you! It’s just something that’s absolutely fascinated me recently!
I love you Billy!
Keep it up you're awesome!
Someone once said to me that they wondered if this organisation was set up by big oil and honestly like it’s believable
The dots really do connect 🤔

Interesting .
But if we destroy the earth, won't that also destroy the lichen, but on like, all of the stones?
What the heck does DaVinci and stone henge have to do with climate change ?
Bingo.
Informative, great work
Activist are getting crazy nowadays 😢
They really are and willing to risk so much jail time too
You killed this video!! Kinda crazy we're still figuring out effective communication this stage into climate collapse.
Thank you! Made this because I couldn’t stop thinking about it
Informative ty :)
Glad it was helpful!

Great question
I started burning coal and oil in a pit in my backyard because of them
I feel like they’ve definitely swayed some towards the opposite direction
I find them insufferable. I get unique ways of protesting can draw a bigger crowd... However, they go way too far
Too far being?
It also seems like the ways they do it aren’t related to the climate at all

@@strawbillieandpeachez Exactly! It just seems like cries for attention, or to see who can outdo the next. The meaning and message seem lost.

Hope you go see pyramids and ankorwat temple in cambodia ❤
Just a menace that doesn’t make anything better… its only for attention
Attention does seem to be their main goal
That's what being an activist is literally about

It feels like they’re just so disconnected from actual climate change. I don’t see how causing traffic or ruining fine art is going to do anything
