Nice, I really loved it. The Gindam Astray Frames are my favorite Gundams in the Cosmic Era. You, made the colors better, added details and just kept it simple. It is so glorious seeing the Gunpla look like the real deal. Thanks!
@@StudioGundam I had a question. If I buy this, do I absolutely NEED to buy the paints and building tools or would I be able to build the entire thing, from the gundam to the katana, without using a tool?
@@erenav7989 I just built this kit and as for tools, I would sughest a nipper for a clean cut from the runner. Sanding is optional. The kit still looks great without panel lining imo. I personally painted the gold parts with gundam marker (gold) for a better look and the included decals looks great as is. I would still recommend panel lining it as it brings out the massive amount of details packed in to it.
I own this kit and it was the first kit I fully custom painted. It is a joy to see the master at work for a piece that you have worked on yourself. Great job, as always!
The Gundam Astray always gave me some sort of warrior vibe or a samurai (gee I wonder why) and you have done this kit justice by enhancing it. Great work!
I always read in the comment section to see what others think about what you do or built. And if this was your first customization it really is dope! Goin to watch all your vids from first to latest.
Wow so creative. The model kit seem like it from cheap to expensive. And tbh it also seem like it turn from a plastic toy into a metal toy lol.The colors are amazing I love.
Man, really love your custom artwork and your cinematography. Im a beginner in gunpla and your vid really teach me how to build a proper gundam. Subscribed! - your fan from Malaysia 😄
Just now i bought my very first gundam RG astray red. And the modeling kit, panel lining black, and X 20 thinner as well. And your tutorial videos helping me alot! Love your videos! @StudioG I'm from malaysia too btw
If you have mr mark softer it's fine whatever the order is. I do that because I don't want the decals to be in the way when I do panel linings. It's much easier to apply decals last as you can soften the water decals and slice through the panel lines again to get more realistic results. 😊 however I'm not sure about the default stickers that came with the kit. I've never used them 😂😂
Waterslide decals need a smooth surface to adhere to and flatten out properly, topcoating with gloss ensures that it's smooth enough for them. That's one reason, anyway.
Absolutely love the paint job and your channel 😍 Just got into gunpla building and your channel is very inspiring! This is my 1st build and want to paint it exactly like this. What paint did you use for the chest armor/backpack, grey armor and accent detailing? Red is Tamiya TS18 Metallic Red?
What do you use to wash the panel linings after done drying & why do you suggest to use enamel paint? Any specific reason pls, your reply will be very useful.
if you are use enamel based paint for the panel linings you should use enamel thinner to wash it off make sure you top coat first because enamel will corrode plastic and it might break the piece you're working on to pieces
You put as much care in your videos, as you put in your customized Gundams, really nice👌🏻 Question, does there not going any topcoat after the waterdecals? Would that be to much material on the model?

Have an issue with the sword on this kit. The blade slides into the handle assembly but clicks into place in the scabbard, when removing from scabbard, the handle slides off leaving the blade in the scabbard. What have I done wrong?
I understand how you feel, it must be super annoying having that problem. Maybe try double checking the instructions to see if you missed a step or something, if that isn't the case maybe try researching online or asking some friends.
Did you use black and white color as the base colour or did you directly spray on the red colour? Really nice and lively colour and im just starting doing airbrush and trying to learn about it
It looks like you have finished painting all the parts of the same color at once. So how can you be able to reassemble without confusion, since it has too many parts and has been cut off from the runner ?
Watching this again and its amazing how you've gone from tamiya spray can into producing your very own gpaint 🔥
I was thinking the same thing!
Do you guys know if he applied another gloss topcoat after applying panel lining and waterslide decals?
@@chumpapii it is better to have another top coat after panel lining and decals. It gives better protection for the panel line enamel and the decals.
@@akmarulhisham2281 so the process is paint -> gloss coat -> panel lines and decals -> gloss/matte coat?
@@chumpapii yeap that is the recommended procedure. The gloss coat after paint would help make the decals look embedded better onto the surface
