I just bought this kit today and I watched this video to see what a talented builder can do with it. You didn't disappoint. Excellent work! The kit looks amazing!
I just found your channel and I now feel incompetent, you’re editing style and build/customization quality has given me so much inspiration to keep growing my own channel. I am a fan sir. Well done. Very well done.
It gives me this aura of being the State of the art Gundam Successor. Its like Kamille Bidan didn't need to change into the Zeta and could jist stick with this Mk II for the rest of the show.
6:31 It's never too late. If you make a mistake, strip the paint and try again. Isopropyl alcohol should remove the paint you're using. Soak it in isopropyl alcohol for a couple hours and scrub it with a toothbrush. The paint should come right off. Try it on the old kit.
Tsorovan Zero Definitely comes in handy. Thanks for the knowledge, to be honest it's not that I don't want to strip the paint but it's the fact that I was racing against time to finish the video to upload. I have to be consistent on my upload intervals for RUclips to even recognise me 😅😅😅
I’d definitely be more interested how you’re shooting your vids with smooth panning shots. I’m using a gimbal and I’m still struggling with the horizontal panning shots. Great stuff!
Hey! I'm actually using those motorized small slider car thingy. It's nothing expensive, but they can carry loads up to 3-5kg with no problems at all with wheels, speed changing and all. I tried using a gimbal too at first but we humans are not that stable hahaha! by the way, can check out this link here to the slider car amzn.to/2PasasC
Studio G Thanks! I ended up ordering the slider you shared a link to. Question: what program/or app are you using to edit your videos with? If you don’t mind me asking. Thanks again!
Question though. Does painting the innerframe helps prevent the RG Early Syndrome?( in case you don't know, early RG tend to really loosen up like a lot, like the while kit just won't stand up.
Can i ask do u seal your frame with what type finish flat clear, all time i paint my i get paint come out in the elbow or knees where frame touch ormour . I use vallejo color usually, do u think the flat tamiya will hard a bit more the finish of the frame?
I have a question from a Noob.. Why do you cut off all the parts at once? How do you know what you have?.. And where they go?.. I've been building models for years.. Never tried this one of my models! It would be catastrofic! lol. How do you keep track??
@@stevenhill1291 Oh! The paint job, I actually used that original first kit as an experimental kit now, so it's pretty much ruined. The story is that I've gotten too greeddy on the colors and the result came out really bad, as it's also my first time spraying using an airbrush, I didn't know what to do, posting date is around the color, so I bought another kit instead of stripping down the pain and start over, this is also because the new year sales was on, so I've got the MK-II kit at a really good price :) I regret not taking any video at that point, probably cause I was in fact, kinda ashamed of the result. But it seems like I shouldn't care about being ashamed or anything and I will definitely not in the future. :)
@@StudioGundam oh yah I always love to see the screw ups because it shows growth, with spraying have you tried using white plastic spoons for color templates, also alot of ppl like using lacquer and then enamel so they can "wash" without ruining the base coat
@@stevenhill1291 Yes, I started to experiment with paint more on my freedom gundam build, you can check out that build as well and got into proper experiment even more with different primer, base coat, number of layers and such. Definitely helps a lot! Saves time in the future cause you'd already know and kinda master the ins and outs. And air brush is another can of worms. So much to do and so much to learn in so little time haha
May I know how many years or month you already been in customising gunpla? Do you able to remove the nubmarks with nippers only? I can flatten out the nubmarks with cutter and sandpaper but somehow the white mark surrounding the nubs will not go away. For someone who doesn't paint, the white marks is very unwanted.
I've been doing gunpla since Jan 2020. This barbatos is actually my fifth gunpla, first was destiny, second was red astray, third was mk2, fourth was freedom and now barbatos. Yes you can remove numbmsrk with only nippers and sand paper. You don't have to worry so much on the white parts but only the Coloured ones, especially the red and blue part. I understand the struggle! I did learn a trick where you trim much further away from the parts on the runner and only cut out but by bit when you get closer to the part. The white marks are cause when the plastic is stressed or stressed, so to do that, use a hobby knife and go faster when you remove the last protruding part! Then just scratch them a bit with your nail, not sandpaper, if sand paper then use something like a 3000 grit sandpaper instead and go lightly 😊 hope it helps!
Lemy T Thank you so much! Unfortunately I can't find it anywhere on amazon on the wipe pen I'm using , but you can search on google for panel lining wipe pen and some will show up :)
Shifu, I’ve been building gunpla for years now, I think I’m got pretty good with the basic things like painting and weathering doing battle damage. But I never tried customizing, Do you plan out you panel lining before you do it? And how do make straight lines?
Thanks for not having disgusting fingernails like me. You inspire me to get my fingernails proper. Although I am a union carpenter so that probably won’t happen 😂😂
First half is ASMR. The other half is epic!
CHP Stannis Thank you! 😊😊😊
You have no idea how much you inspired a builder like me to be an artist like you. Your Gundams are treasures.
Awww thank you so much! I hope you'll make even better awesome gunplas :D

One of my favorite kits 👌

I'm glad you apologized because this is brilliant and now I want to try the samething.

Man excellent work, if you could one day in the future take the Hi Nu Ver Ka MG and paint it with a cool color scheme then you’d really make my day

Just realized the new EX Impulse copied your color scheme. A very awesome job!

Did you topcoat the Ms joints?

Ever tried customizing a Master Grade Gundam MK 2 AUEG version instead?
Question though. Does painting the innerframe helps prevent the RG Early Syndrome?( in case you don't know, early RG tend to really loosen up like a lot, like the while kit just won't stand up.
It kinda does but the more you pose the worst it gets 😂
how do you know which part goes to which if you cut them all off from the runners like that??

Great videos, you should do the RX-78-2 or a 30 MM kit, those would look so cool with your building techniques/style
You read my mind, those are actually in my schedule! :)

how long do you let your panel line dry before you clean it with the thinner?
At least 5-10mins it's pretty thin so it dries in minutes 😊

Why apply paint thinner directly to the model? Just getting into the hobby and watching vids before I buy my first kit >.>
To erase excess panel line liquid
After 3 videos, I have one question on my mind. What mix do you use to get the gold flakes in your blacks and reds? I have to know!
I guess what you are referring to is the metalic paint. So basically any metallic paint will have those flakes in the paint. :)
