    One of the rarest videos which accurately depicts on what situation we must use rotate true north and rotate project north.
    Good one.

    how do I make it possible for the elevation target not to rotate along with the project north?

      @BINHE615  2 года назад +1

      Probably not possible. But you can work out the angle between the old and new project north, and rotate the elevation views accordingly.

    So, when you link the CAD file to Revit, it is automatically oriented to Project North?
    I'm asking because I've linked the CAD File, being ready with it's true north position and I'm afraid that I might redo everything all over again, considering that I've just finished setting up the central site (Well almost, because I'm having problems with orientation).
    I hope there is a way of setting the orientation properly without losing all the progress that I've made

      There is an option to align the DWG file with current view while importing. Our survey DWG files are usually facing the true north, so I always import them in a plan with with true north orientation. I don’t think you need to re-do everything even if your orientation is wrong, you only need to confirm your true north and adjust the angle between true north and project north. You can share me your file if still not sure.

      @@BINHE615 I tried adjusting the angles between true and project north, but they just move away from where they're supposed to be

      Try the opposite direction

      @@BINHE615 Finally fixed it after a week of trial and error by 'align on a plane or line'. Thanks a lot

      Good work. I still have trouble sometimes. It’s confusing.

    why you need to link cad again ?
    I don't get it much :(

      Maybe I didn't explain well. Sorry about that. I believe you can simply rotate the linked CAD too if you know what the difference is. The reason why I re-link the CAD file is to match the true north of the CAD (usually top of the page) to the new true north of the project.

      Reloading the CAD file instead of removing and loading (after deleting the angular dimension in revit) might probably reduce few steps
