I love this woman - In a short space of time (again) I have been howling with laughter ( Dolly's "Rack") sums up our time in this life (on this earth) in such a no-nonsense, common sense way. A deeper more transcendent philosopher - I know I will never listen to; read about again. I could listen to RMB for ever (but I know she's either say - What makes you so goddamn precious - just live you life! Hearing it loud and clear RMB. XX
"Six of one" - over the years, I have read it so many times - a brilliant novel - I have longed for many a year though to see it as a Film (Movie). I cannot write a Novel - but yeah - I am good at writing rhymes. It does feel good to be human.
Everything she says makes sense.. always has .. love her . Rita Mae transcends generation, sexuality and individual political ideology ..she speaks to the essentials regardless..
I just started reading Rubyfruit Jungle and wanted to find out more about Rita, and she is just amazing. Also I truly hope in the future the universities that handles things like they did during Rita’s college years apologize for their behavior and torment of marginalized people
