I agree with this, but only if we are looking at that statistic alone and completely disregarding the other variables - Power has a significant impact on how a bike feels during acceleration. The DRZ-400SM sets the standard for a supermoto. The OG (2005-2024) 400SM weighed in at 321lbs wet and made approx. 40 HP. That's a power to weight of 0.124HP/1LB. The 2025 KTM 390 SMC-R clocks in at ~350lbs and makes approx. 44HP. That's a power to weight of 0.125HP/1LB. The added weight of the 390 will contribute to improved stability. I can live with the added weight with all of the high-spec componentry and tech included on the 390. That's just me though - In the grand scheme, sure, it's not "very light" but it's light enough. Thanks for watching! Ride safe.
Sometimes I intentionally put silly bikes in for comparison just to get a ruse out of viewers. 😂You caught it! The (obviously) better MT to look at is the MT-03. It also runs a 298mm front disc but it's just a single disc and that bike is still heavier than the 390 SMC-R. Thanks for watching! Ride safe. 😎
159 - 161 Super light for a Supermoto..? That is heavy as fck! The 450 & 530 EXC weigh 120kg and have around 50HP A 1290 Super Duke weighs not so much more... Nah... No bueno man!

Most typical enduro is 170-190 kg
If you want a sumo put some sm wheels and tires on street legal dirtbike, like the ktm exc or husqvarna fe/te.
Idk about the ktm but the drz enduro and SM were two totally different bikes. I had the factory SM and im really glad i didnt get an enduro
G'day Omni dude, I wonder if the new Suzuki DRZ-4SM will be close to this?
Crazy stuff
Will check out your gaming channel 🤙
About the same hp and torque but new drz is almost 20 ibs lighter than ktm but over 1500 bucks more🤷♂️
I'd just like to point out that Yamaha puts TWO of the smaller disk's on the MT09.

I ignored its downsides when i heard its msrp
This thing is gonna be a slightly spunkier DRZ with a 6th gear. Somehow heavier than a DRZ too…Although it’s priced pretty decently
Surprised the new and old versions of the DRZ were not mentioned in the "similar bikes" section
@ I actually just learned about the new DRZ4SM, which is arguably better than this. Just wish they gave it a 6th gear.
the thing is, DRZ got only gear, forgot it !.@@WarrensAdventures
