+Papa Midnite to be honest...and by no means am i a "hater" of either of them (just wanted to establish that first) i gotta agree...people went ape over a so-so bar. was good, just yeah. not worth that much crowd support or large reaction. lol
I thought it was pretty good. It certainly wasn't just a random jamming of two words - it has deeper meaning. DNA is one of the 'proofs' of atheism. I.e. proof of evolution , hence disproof of the creationist basis of abrahamic religions. Or maybe I'm giving Eurgh too much credit.
yeah, if I was more cultured to the UK crowd, would have been easier listening and he maybe be more liberal with his schemes. But they get off cross waters and sometime i'm like 'huh'?
willem kimberley Yeah, my fav from Eurgh was "You're battle with Dizaster got more views than all my battle's combined, it was an hour long, you spit about two bars that actually rhymed" Dope ass rebuttal!
willem kimberley I got a playlist on my channel labeled "War With Bars" it's hilarious you should check it out! Start from the beginning though if you do!
Fuckkk, this battle was extremely close. DNA had some of the craziest schemes I've ever heard in battle rap, the whole bike/handlebars/hub-capped scheme was unreal, the first scheme with Eurgh's name being used as a syllable at the end of each rhyme, that shit hit so hard, the way he delivered that was fuckin perfect, The "spell vendetta with DNA", was nuts too. There's others I can't be fucked using here as well but you guys know em'. Only thing I thought was kind of corny was the "pack of faggots" line, just not really a bar that stood out too me. Eurgh had some crazy ass schemes as well, but I feel like Eurgh came more direct and to the point. Some-times when you go far to deep into the intellectual realm of writing and structuring bars it takes away some of the value of the punch because you're spending so much time making it connect correctly that you steer away from the delivery and the actual shock of exposing or mocking your opponent, that shit really does exist man and I feel like some of DNA's crazy schemes lacked that. Eurgh's first opening bar was pretty nuts "DNA tests" one, his rebuttals were on point as fuck, the "Eric's Koston" bar was pretty fresh and different, exposing DNA for biting who he collabs with was innovative as well, damn such a hard one. But I'd have to either go with a DRAW or 2 - 1 DNA, such a great battle but.
Lol eurgh wasn't consistent. It's shame you think he actually won, I can name 9 bars that went in for DNA. How many did eurgh have that were tough like fucking 2. Foh learn hip hop and freestyle and delivery instead of yelling at the top the lungs and composure especially to go along with that. DNA 2-1 get your distaste in battling the fuck outta here haha

Very close battle though, I would honestly say a draw but if i had to pick, Eurgh's DNAthiest line stood out for me, (I'm not from the US or UK btw)
I can understand him word for word. He's good, but definitely not on DNA's level. Eurgh definitely came in, but i give it DNA 2-1. I see a lot of people saying we are benefitting DNA because he is american... no.. You all are benefitting Eurgh because he is one of the only ones to come out of Don't Flop that can hang with elites like DNA, Dizaster, And Pat. Shotty Horroh obviously being the best.
Eljay Nelson actually there are quite a few others apart from eurgh that are on dna/dizasters level, you just can't understand them properly plus alot of british rap are about british topics that would go straight over the heads of americans so you can't judge them.

It's crazy to come back and watching this battle after so long they both went hard eurgh had a few lines and a I liked alot of his rebuttals dna just went off and had this energy about him and it made everything we was saying extra fire hard to judge it now but I think dna still took it classic battle! To much fire! Much love and respect salute
After not seeing this in ages, Eurgh has some insane lines that were slept on since they were so rapid fire. Round 1: 'Like a warped view Diz taught (distort) you a lesson and Diz posed (disposed) of you!' jeez
I'm quite a fan of Eurgh and not really of DNA but credit where it's due I give this to DNA. Not a straight body, and Eurgh did have some sick lines but overall I would have to give it to DNA. Big up to both battlers.
DNA never let me down. I notice that the u. K. Boys only rhyme words. And are talking about making songs. That is not the purpose of battle rap. It's schemes, punch lines. Metaphors similes. You can't just rhyme word for word that only a fraction of the art.
Ross McGouldrick It's Battle Rap, not a Freestyle. So your point is also irrelevant. They both killed it, so why do you feel that you have to be a hater?
No one would Sweat Eurgh (sweater), so why would they inVEST in putting you on the cart again (cardigan)....that line single-handedly shows that DNA's sick. However, Eurgh had some amazing lines.. "I'm known for what's coming out of my mouth, not what's missing inside." This is a tie in my eyes
but if you owe me bread, lets try the vegetable approach you better not lettuce(let us) catch you on your peas(p's) and we on our calm shit you mustard (must heard) that when we peel back onions cause we dont want to squash it your girl i celery( sell her E), put the potato on barrel and get this bird touched and youll just get robbed for your 10 carrots (carats) and catch the beets (beats) if my money dont turn up
Just watched this battle for the first time in a couple years... and uhh.. Holy fuck... this is a great battle... and Eurgh is often lauded for his performance and deservedly so, but DNA was fucking good too. This is just a good battle to watch, and the crowd acts like a perfect crowd should. Understanding references from within the battle scene and culture which wouldn't be obvious to a non-fan, reacting to both rappers, respecting the rappers while flowing. Just a great battle. One of the best in KOTD history. It'd certainly be in my top 20
Damn, Eurgh's 3rd Round, tho..........broke down DNA's entire battle profile. 2-1 Eurgh, the 3rd was insanely close, Eurgh's verse was just more intelligent and personal. DNA gets round 1 and Eurgh got round 2 as well. Congrats, Eurgh. Makes me wish Organik still battled.
I never knew DNA had so many haters! Good battle, so much replay value. No one got "killed" here, Eurgh was nice with the personals and DNA had bars for days. I hate bias comments - it's like people decided who won before watching the battle
Round 1: DNA edged it Round 2: Eurgh edged it Round 3: Eurgh edged it if you look at the comments, you can actually tell who watches rap battles as a fad and who is a real fan by checking who says ''DNA killed him'' and who doesn't
Great battle from both sides, but how did the line "I don't believe in you, I'm a D.N.Atheist" get such a big cheer?? where's the connection between atheist and DNA? if it was Hollohan I would understand since he calls himself god. So I can say "I don't believe in homosexuals, I'm a gay-atheist" and that's a hot bar???
obviously it wasn't that particular line that had the crowd go crazy.. It was the total "Vendetta" scheme and that was just the punch ending the scheme.. It start with the referral to the canibus and diz battle, then he integrates all the rappers on the vendetta card in his bars.. and then he fall back to the canibus and diz battle with the pen and pad (canibus notepad) reference.. and at last integrates his self in what i personally thought was quite a clever way as you indeed cannot spell vendetta without a DNA.. I think Dna is honestly one of the most hated on duded but his metaphors be cold ass shit..! Give credit when credit is due and the fact that he managed to remain relevant since grindtime is a admirable accomplishment.. Don't want to take away anything from eurgh, it was not a bodybag but i do give dna the 3-0..
MJ PS are you kidding? thats not at all what he meant. Do you know what a vendetta is? He was saying you can't spell Vendetta without the letters DNA . AKA - DNA thinks he himself is on a vendetta thus one can't happen without him and he took it one step further and said TRY spelling vendetta without DN an A, which he means vendettas don't happen when he's not around. It's easier to explain in real life cause I can emphasize how I mean but the point is you completely misinterpereted the bar and it's actually pretty good
if you like bars and personals eurgh won, if you like performance and wordplay DNA won. Close battle, but I give it 2-1 Eurgh for more creative content and much better rebuttals which is especially impressive because DNA is one of the best freestylers around. Unfortunately most battle rap fans are too biased and ignorant to give fair evaluations of battles like the guy who replied to me.
I respect your opinion but clearly EURGH WON By a default, you loose automatically when you have a bar that's says I'm known nationwide when really your suppose to say worldwide...lol correction comes first...
DNA is the most corny and repeatative rapper in battle rap, thinking he's a genius when he's clueless. He ACTUALLY thought Brighton (Eurghs home town) was pronounced "Britain," the dude cant even read and people getting amazed by his bars? GO BACK TO SCHOOL
Its not irrelevant if he's tryna diss eurgh about being from brighton, then completely miss pronounces the place he's talking about. and dont talk to me about the significance of the dude metaphors when one of the biggest reactions he got was for 16 bars on vegetables that had nothing to do with anyone.
That's such an invalid claim. Firstly, they're different leagues. Of course rappers would visit each other's leagues to battle. They all do that, DNA is a Smack rapper and he's visiting KOTD - so once again, you make no sense right now lol. Secondly, Eurgh is a Don't Flop battle rapper not a KOTD battle rapper. Thirdly, a lot of Grind Time Now (KOTD Division) rappers are some of URL's best (Concieted, Cortez, Real Deal, etc). Fourthly, another one of URL's best - Charlie Clips (DNA's boy - in case you didn't know) just moved to KOTD from URL. Fifthly, Dizaster, a KOTD rapper is regarded by MANY battlers as well as rappers as the best in the world. So if you're dissing KOTD you're dissing URL. My original point was that international leagues don't stack up to North American leagues just because of the evolution of hip-hop.
sheikh03 If you think Conceited and Cortez and Clips rep KOTD you're on crack. URL rappers don't take KOTD seriously stop riding their dicks like their both together, follow the innovators not the imitators...and if anything Don't Flop is probably a bigger league than KOTD, there's a power shift now. URL will always remain number 1 unless something extreme happens.
mamz37 I didn't say they rep KOTD. Read what I wrote again. I said they're from KOTD/Grind Time Now. Which means they used to rap for that league. I already told u, they're different leagues, both leagues have rappers that visit. Don't Flop is not even close btw.. especially since it's in the UK, where Hip Hop probably started like 10 years ago. There are a select few overseas rappers that are actually legit. Australians probably have a bigger league than Don't Flop. Justice from Australia actually came down and won scribble Jam.
This is my favourite Eurgh battle and one of my favourite DNA battles. Both were sick, no bodies were caught here.
9 years on, still a classic!!
I always loved how DNA looks all bored and depressed while the other rappers are going on XD
And when it's his turn he completely bodies his opponents
lmao ye its the "holding a fart look".. Dna mad fire tho..

3-0 DNA. That vegetable approach line was classic. Eurgh nice tho
Yea fr ❤
Great collaboration, tough to judge
Try to spell "vendetta without a D and an A" DNA went in, DNA 2-1 peace from the UK!
veett?
{ Ace-Kid97 } Try to spell "vendetta without a DNA"
MJ PS Try to spell vendetta without a D N an A
horsemanrodeoclownarmy It spells veett, he wanted it to be vet but, it's not. Horrible bar.
It's easier to explain in real life cause I can emphasize how I mean but the point is you completely misinterpereted the bar and it's actually pretty good
R.I.P PH
if you like bars and personals eurgh won, if you like performance and wordplay DNA won. Close battle, but I give it 2-1 Eurgh for more creative content and much better rebuttals which is especially impressive because DNA is one of the best freestylers around.
Unfortunately most battle rap fans are too biased and ignorant to give fair evaluations of battles like the guy who replied to me.
have you watched the battle?
This is a bangin battle yo. Even as hell
Dna caught a body
I wish lol DNA had schemes thats already been said and heard before...Eurgh Murder DNA
***** It is So obvious that eurgh lost this battle man come on !!!!
U cant be that blind
olivier Sangam A classic body.. Eurgh was fire but DNA toped him clearly
I respect your opinion but clearly EURGH WON By a default, you loose automatically when you have a bar that's says I'm known nationwide when really your suppose to say worldwide...lol correction comes first...
***** what battle was u watching. Body bag hands down no debating. This goes down as top 5 body bag of all time in KOTH
Dna bodied this dude
Eurgh was nice yo but DNA took it
Still a dope battle to watch even after over two years...
eurgh slaughtered DNA on this one. 3-0
Its not irrelevant if he's tryna diss eurgh about being from brighton, then completely miss pronounces the place he's talking about. and dont talk to me about the significance of the dude metaphors when one of the biggest reactions he got was for 16 bars on vegetables that had nothing to do with anyone.
sheikh03 What are you on about? You think URL rappers take KOTD battlers seriously? they look at it as it is a place to visit smh.
DNA 3-0
Great battle! Awesome!
