Hi Kelly, you have gorgeous hair! A lot of people pay a lot of $ for hair like that, embrace that you were blessed with it. Thank you for sharing your very personal story and I am so sorry for your loss. I suffer from clinical major depression & have for a long time, still trying to get my medication right. I've been on them all. I am also disabled & have been in chronic pain for over 14 yrs, it takes a toll on you & makes the depression much worse, but I just try to take it day by day & count the blessings I do have. I wish more people had a heart as kind as yours, the world would be a much happier and peaceful place. Thank you for sharing your kind spirit, your sense of humor, and your art, you are an inspiration. I think I live close by you, I'm in Williamstown. Crafty hugs, Kim

I realize this is from awhile ago, but thank you for sharing. I can tell it was difficult at times. I've got clinical depression and anxiety, and it's therapeutic to hear other people's experiences. I know I'm not the only person struggling, but also that there are so many people who are supportive.

I think your hair is beautiful when it's loose, I love it.
Yes I deal with mental illness and people I love do too.
I used to get migraines, but I haven't had one in many years.
I think caffeine caused them for me.
That's right, people don't understand. Sometimes people who are well-meaning don't do the right things because they just don't get it.
Thank you for that. I often feel worthless and that I don't matter. That made me cry (the good kind). Thank you.
I often consider making a video similar to this one but I am just not brave enough. Thank you for your courage and for doing this.

I understand completely. i am also afflited with mental health conditions. It is ridiculous for people to 'look down' on those of us who have illnesses/disorders of the brain and/or nervous system. We are sick and need to be treated with kindess and love, like other sick people are treated. Thank you for all the good you do.

hi Kelly, I love your hair mine is just like yours, and I too also wear it up most of the time go figure. I became disabled in 2011, I contracted Nicrosing Infectitious, basically the worst form of flesh eating disease, they remove 3/4 of my abdomen, part of my groin area and some of my stomach. I am also deaf and have been for the past 5 years. I also suffered from manic depression, diabetes, and diabetic neuropathy. It's nice to see someone who genuinely cares about others, and is willing to reach out to them as well. You are a very loving lady and I am so blessed to have found you.
Sending you and your family huggs and many blessings.

Thank you for sharing your story of your son, I know how hard it is for you talk about, I can see you wanting to cry as I wanted to right along with you. I know what you mean when you say about not being able to follow through, I have many mental health issues, I have the same thing your son had and many more, I have a hard time following through with people, I pull back or just can't cope, I can give so much and then my mind goes into overload, that is one of many reasons I would rather stay home and not go out, There is so much that can be said on the subject of mental health, for me anyway, but thanks again for being so concerned and caring to everyone, but that can be a big load to carry and your shoulders are only so big, so care for yourself and your family first and the rest just take as much as those shoulders can handle.

Hi Kelly, The hair is FAB! I just love it, I wash mine , put it in a clip and a few hours later, it is curly like yours! The older I get the curls keep coming! Who would have known at almost 50 it would get waves and curls! I think you should wear it down sometimes when you do your videos, it is lovely on you. anxiety and depression has wasted years of my life, it has ruined holidays, birthdays, picnics, grocery store trips, the list is endless. I am so sorry about your son, and the pain you all must have gone through at the time, and still live with everyday. You are so right about how mental illness is ignored in our country, the price you must pay to see good doctors, to find one that is willing to help you without pills and more pills, to find healthcare workers that care! It is a very lonely world when you are inside looking out at life, you have such a good heart, it takes a special lady to share this story and how you feel, you matter Kelly, and you ARE loved, I just want to reach out and give you hugs! The honesty you share with us all is priceless, thank you for doing this video, you are my first person I come and see every single day! Lots of love to you girl!!!

OMG, I love your hair! Its gorgeous girl, I don't know what you are talkin about! I too, deal with depression and anxiety. Its terrible at times but medication does help. I feel terribly guilty about things that have absolutely nothing to do with me, or things that I can do nothing about. I find myself with an overwhelming urge to cry for no reason no matter what im doing or where I am. .I was walking through the grocery store the other night and just started crying. Its terrible :( Thank goodness for an understanding husband, family and friends. Bless your heart. Thank you for sharing your story. I SOOO admire you.

first off - love the hair! When I found your channel I guess a year ago, I had to subscribe - I fell in love with how you ended your videos. I thought, "Here is someone who knows - who gets it" I've watched you since - of course I am also interested in the content. :-) I suffer with Bi-polar, Anxiety, panic attacks, ADD, topped off with OCD. Alphabet soup. No one really understands and I work in the mental health industry - go figure. When you talk about these topics I am right there across the table from you, nodding my head and agreeing out loud. Thank you for making videos, it's so nice to talk with someone who "get's it"

My story is that I do suffer from major depression, in which meds don't help. My son has depression also. There are days that I can't handle my stuff, so its very hard for me to deal with my child. So thanks for sharing your story, it helps that I know I am not alone.

Right, I'm back as promised Kelly x. I battle with CMT and suspected ME, both chronic physical disabilities, just to mention it... I have also struggled with chronic clinical depression most of my late teen and adult life. This turned VERY severe a few years ago. At that point every single day was torture and the thought of having to wake up the following morning and go through it all again was unbearable. Now medication is not for everybody but for me it was antidepressants, to bring my serotonin levels back up, coupled with short term therapy that brought me back from the brink.
Now we are about 4 years later and I am still on the same medication although at a now lower dose and life is really quite okay. I have period lasting a few days sometimes when I suddenly sink into deep despair one more but I am now better equipped with the tools to help myself back to relative normality.
I am unable to work due to my physical illness and my crafting is my saviour. I can really lose myself in a process and forget all about the world out there!
I had to really look inside myself and make significant changes to how I reacted to situations, easier said than done sometimes! I also took a careful look at the people and types of situations that I for myself involved with and replaced confrontational situations with pleasant ones.
Anyway, that's enough rambling from me. Kelly, just know that I am here for you also should you want someone to talk to or just kick back with!
Love and hugs, xxSAMxx (Sam CraftNerd Lewis on Facebook)

Kelly ,I Love You Kiddo... OMG, your hair is just like mine !!! My DD took me to her stylist and I get my hair trimmed & Layered. Getting it layered helps Curly Hair lay down & be Good...LOL...Then when you wash it use a light Gel, and just crunch your curls, like magic you'll be the envy of All ( Bonus it helps your headaches, it lightens the load your poor head has To carry...also it's normal to loose hair as we get Older, pulling it back helps to pull it out. And yes certain Meds make us loose hair :(... You Look Beautiful, Kelly, but if you get a trim & Layers...You will be amazed at how much better you will feel..
By making this Video you are helping yourself & so many. As Mothers we have a burden No One Else has. When bad things happen to our children we are suppose to take away the hurt....when we can't we are riddled with guilt, we are helpless & we blame ourselves. You are there for your Sweet Daughter & she knows your Love and I think in her own way she shows you that in the little things she does...after all, no matter what she is part of you..You both are doing the best you can, and that's all you can do, No more No less. What happened with your Son is a Heart break no Mother should have to go through..You may never be able to talk about it and now is too soon. When we loose a child & those who loved him relive that day everyday, Time is irrelevant..His passing is still so freshly imbedded in your Heart & Mind. Don't let others push you in the details ( Why does everyone dwell on the details? it's no ones business except your Husband, his sister & you ) Doesn't matter how they left us, being gone from our lives is is all anyone needs to know. Some times just speaking their name brings on a pain in our souls that is so unbearable we can't breath. Only those who have lost a love one can understand. Yes our life is forever changed, We Laugh, We cry ,We Live. He is there in your Heart, you feel his Love in the touch of a Hug from his Dad ,His Sister and yes yourself. He speaks to you in the Wind, He loved his Family more then Life it self, and in my Heart I know you will be all together some day...Be strong my Sister, keep doing what you do, Laugh, Cry, Create & Love. Just keep being you & try not to be so hard on yourself...After All you are doing the Best you can do, those who Love you understand and will ask for nothing more. Big (((HUGS))) & Love Always.

I suffer from depression, anxiety, and ocular migraines. My mil is the worst, we live 8 hours away so when we visit we stay with them and I can't be "on" for that long every day and so I try to go into the bedroom we stay at and try to center myself and she feels it's because I don't like them or I'm trying to get away. But I think what is most heartbreaking is my nephew who is autistic and bipolar and has this thing where he doesn't recognize authority unless it has been proven to him. Our immediate family has all learn how to deal with him over the years and he has learned things too but our extended family that I thought we were really close to called him awful names and would ask me why we would take him overnight or even spend time with him. I definitely distanced myself from them

I also have PTSD and manic depressed, bipolar , mild Schizophrenia and some more...So I understand alot of how you guys feel BUT I haven't dealt with the lose of a child , That would be the worse to go through...l have 4 children and I love them so much .I don't think I could deal with that...yes they get to me sometimes but that's my children and I would lose my mind really if I lost one of them... I don't think I could function after the lose of a child I probably won't be the same again...I'm just saying it's got to be rough for you to deal with the mind things going on plus more... Sometimes I Question why God would put so much on ones plate!
