Cool vid! I have the VSLD in my 350z and I have always been told it would be terrible for sliding. good to know that it can do it, just takes a bit to get the hang of.
A lot of people who say things are terrible for drifting don’t have any firsthand experience. Are there diffs that are considerably better? Absolutely. Can you link 2nd gear tracks like a boss on a VLSD? Absolutely. 🤷🏻♂️
Nice to see you wheeling something you don’t normally drive. Great driving 🔥. Could you do a video in great starter cars, given today’s market? And also is there any car you would recommend over this? Keep up the content man loving it
Compared to the second lap, it was pretty easy 😆 Almost too easy since VLSDs are one-way diffs at best. Sometimes not even one-way depending on their condition lol
Yeah, we’ve been having the weather swing from snow one week to nearly tshirts the next, wild times but it feels great to feel some warmth from the sun for sure 👍🏻
Can you use conventional GL-5 to nissan R200V (VLSD) without LSD additives? FSM says use "NISSAN Differential Oil Hypoid Super GL-5 80W90 or API GL-5 80W-90." I was wondering if I can use any GL-5 (without LS spec or LSD additives) to our R200V (VLSD)..
As far as I recall, the Viscous LSD is a sealed unit, so it shouldn’t be impacted by oil choice, as long as you have it filled with the correct weight. For what it’s worth, I run an ATS&ACROSS / Carbonetic 2-way carbon clutch diff in mine and use the oils recommended by the diff maker, which has been redline synthetic since 2005…never had any issues.
ive played assetto corsa 45 hours with my set up, but i only have a 3 yars old laptop, not gaming so it has like 10-15 fps on lowest settings and i cant see how that will inprove my drifting, because in one frame im good and in the other i have way more angel than i thought bcause i its not smooth enough, will it help me?
That limited visual information will definitely slow your rate of learning by a lot. There’s nothing realistic about not being able to see more often than not...the sooner you can get at least a consistent 30-60fps the better
I try, but since I don’t have a regular camera operator, a lot of times when I’m driving it’s POV and on-car stuff. I try to bring a friend along for bigger events who can shoot trackside while I drive 😅
It’s not too bad! The 370 works better with a VLSD than my KA 240SX did, that’s for sure. That extra power helps it to lock quicker. Basically all the on-throttle aspects are about the same, and the car grips up more off throttle but as you can see, I had no trouble adapting and linked the track on my second lap (I wasn’t even trying to on my first)
@@bradymcfarland6528 I’ve drifted the G35 as well, but don’t have video from it😅 It worked well enough. Just go slow and assess how well the VLSD works before going full send and you’ll be fine 👌🏻
With good asphalt - no, you can't. VLSD is shit. I just installed OS Giken lsd on my 370z and now it drifts. Before that it couldn't sustain longer drifts not a chance, only if it was wet or very slick asphalt.
Sounds like your VLSD was worn out more than this one, cause I have personal experience with video evidence that it works in this 370 and my 240SX lol Clutch diffs or welded ones certainly work better though, I use an ATS Carbon Clutch 2 way in my track car and it’s 👌🏻
@@KameTrick also I have vlsd on my 370z. I'm trying to learn drifting and I wanted your opinion; should I weld it, get a helical LSD, or just learn on the vlsd?

Also gotta note he got a hydro idk if u got or not
That 360 was neat too
Nice!!! My 370 has a welded diff! Just installed the gkteck super lock lca's today sooooo pumped for the first event of the season!!!
It’s a really solid chassis that makes enough power and handles well for its size/weight, have fun on track!

Well that statement about the leap of faith is pretty accurate. Lol 😂
Bad ass!! Excellent Ben, really cool.. great to see the sun again too.. can't wait to get a blast of warmth here in Rainland (Ireland)

I just realised I’m one of the first to watch this I love your vids man they’ve helped me learn how to drift on sim and irl
Thank you! Yeah this one dropped today, next up is another sim video ✌🏻
bro i found you when i looked up asseto corsa then i saw that you drift in oklahoma for full lock drift, i always go to the events
Haha yep, I drive OK events fairly regularly. I have some repair work to do though so I won’t be out at Cams Acres this weekend, unfortunately 😅
@@KameTrick awh that sucks great to know a local youtuber
DAMN YOU EVEN DID a 360
A little bonus for the peeps who watch till the end haha
right wasnt expecting that
Woah he did a real life 360
You know it 🤙🏻
how is the wear on a vlsd from drifting? Brand new how many miles or track days can i get?
@kametrick - sick! me at 5:55 - donuts! Wow, both cars so nicey & driver be l33t 2
Haha that’s me in both cases 👋🏻😅
does angle kit really make drifting easier?
can you drive mondello park (by digital motorsport) on assetto corsa and tell us your opinions on it?
Maybe at some point! Track reviews aren’t a priority for the channel right now though 😅🙏🏻

Your red nissan 240sx 2dr coupe is waaaayyy sexier in my opinion. That was an elegant 360 degree. Just sayin'. lol
The 370 did really well for its level of tuning, I was surprised by its performance, but of course I’m really comfortable in my own car ✌🏻
