- Ever wanted to play a WW2 game but set the date to 1300? Well, that's exactly what we're doing today! Today I play as the Byzantine Empire in the Old Europe 1300 mod for HOI4! We've been severely weakened over the centuries but now is the perfect time for a comeback.

Fun fact: around the 1200 aragon succesfully invaded athens and created a pupet duchy that impresevly existed for a long time, but sadly for some wars and diplomatic problems aragon lost his control over that zone.

France still wasn't surrender land in 1300 it was more a strong country and the holy Roman empire wasn't the same as Germany so it's pretty normal that they are holding...

Bad events can be caused by your national spirits (idk what kind of them have byzantium, but im sure they are very bad) and this mod has a shit ton of generic events and EDI related events
also this is probably the best hoi4 mod i've played, also has most potential of any mod, once the dev flushes out the the 1300 scenario, he could throw in some kind of endseig scenario as byzantium in 1453.

You can use political power to go from low corruption to no corruption. That should help with avoiding these bad events and a rebellion.

It looks cool. The big problem of total conversion mods is that ai doesn't really know how to manage them so at some point they get pretty boring, hope this one will be fine.

You had to change limited trade to free in order to get more money 'cause ur country has a lot of resources that are able to give u money by increasing percentage
For example I've 15 thousand cloth for Great Britain in 1307. And it gives me 1000 per a day

DShakey the early Middle Ages have such little information on what was going on but the majors are going to be the Ostrogoths, Visigoths, Franks, Byzantines, Sassanids, and both Chinese dynasties! My goal is to form the borders in Europe and make a few focus trees and then I’ll publish it
