Fun to watch yes, but compared to the others of his gen, he doesn't move well, even for his size. Medvedev, Zverev, Tsitsipas, Berrettini are all big players and they move better than he does frankly.
@@pauljohnson6019I feel it was more of Musetti’s baseliner style; didn’t have the tools to trouble the Djokovic service game ie Alcaraz’s variety/Sinner’s power

I’m quite sure Shelton and Opelka were playing with an actual tennis ball all the time. It’s unfortunate that we only got to see it popping in and out of existence randomly.
Kinda sad how Fokina lost his mojo. I think he lost some of his passion for the game; when I first saw him he chased all balls with amazing intensity, slid and dived all around...
Musetti is lowkey Federer lite. Love watching him play. If he can add some more power on that FH and serve, he may shed some of that "lite" qualifier. Also, damn, Opelka can SERVE! If he had a half-decent return game, he might have actually won some Big Titles just on his servebot ability. Unfortunately, his return game is probably bottom-quarter on the tour...but glad he's back. Always fun to see an NBA center serve 😂
dont insult federer like that lol. Just because he has a one handed backhand lol. The guy is very passive and is content to grind from the back of the court, not federer like at all. To me a poor mans Gaudio.
No, he's not. His game is not even similar to Federer's. The same for Shapovalov mentioned by malekat8539. Shapovalov is high risk shooter with no gameplan behind, Musetti is passive compared to Fed. He's got a beautiful backhand but the gameplay is different to Fed's allcourt attacking game. Only guy with similar game is Grigor Dimitrov, not at the same level of course.

Fritz is so one dimensional on the court. He thinks he can just blast someone away from the back of the court. Any opponent who makes him move forward or takes him out of his comfort zone on the baseline will trouble him.
His game isn't that 'one dimensional', in fact, he uses the angles a lot more than most players, has a great backhand (can take the ball early) and a solid forehand (especially when he is in control of the point) with decent handskills. His problem, although it's much better compared to his younger days, is the footwork, he is relatively quick (for someone of his morphology), but not precise with it, as well as the reluctance to sometimes put pressure on the opponent by coming to the net. When i think about one dimensional games, i think a lot more about Rublev for example than Fritz.
Opelka is on his comeback from long term injury and Shelton asked him how he felt today and Opelka says he feels good, Shelton was just checking in on him as a friend
