Love a yxz. What I love best is the fact that my 17 model just went over 9000 miles and hasn’t been touched yet. It’s life has been spent in nw Arkansas rock country and knock on wood, never replaced anything, except tires.
Thanks for watching! I have a Dasa exhaust review video almost ready to go live but I am struggling to get a good exhaust clip that sounds as good as it does in person. It sounds amazing and really adds to the riding experience. It is really loud maybe too loud for some but I absolutely love it.
@@adam22es everything is out of stock right now it sucks. I have been trying to buy a new sxs for my wife and having no luck. Even used stuff is about at retail price right now. I know you already bought the exhaust but if you buy it off Amazon it says it will arrive in a couple days with prime. I just looked it up for a buddy. amzn.to/2UdJz9H I’m not sure if you have a ecu reflash or fuel controller so it doesn’t run lean yet but I went with the PWRtune Ecu reflash and it is awesome with the Dasa exhaust. It removes the speed governor, raises the rev limiter and turns on the cooling fans 10degrees cooler. Also it is reversible for free and untraceable if you need warranty work. I got the reflash for $230 with a coupon code. I have had the exhaust and tune for over 1000 miles with no issue. The acceleration is so much better and I have gotten it up to 96mph with one rider, higher tire pressure and on a flat paved road.
So I Love your channel. Watching is going to cost me a ton of cash...lol. I bought my YXZ Saturday and have already made my 2022 list for accessories. Thanks for making the how to install harness video. Will make my life so much easier ☺️
Loves these trails, is this a OHV park or private land? Great content!!! Every time I think I've locked in my choice for SXS I come across another of your videos and have to put the YXZ strongly back on my radar!!!
These are public trails in Houghton Lake, Michigan. If you like fast trails, short course, and dunes. I think the YXZ is the most exciting machine to drive. It’s not real great at mud bogging, or crawling but it can definitely be done. I love it because I can beat on it almost every weekend and it has been absolutely reliable. Zero issues. I like not worrying about belt temps or changing belts. The XP pro, Turbo S and X3 are probably better all around performing machines but the yxz is about half the price. The yxz is probably the best or one of the best value SXSs in my opinion. On just an exhaust and tune you can reach a top speed near 100mph. I feel like a want an x3 or pro XP just for better jumping but I can’t make my self spend that much to launch a 30+ thousand dollar machine in the air. The yxz is enough for me for now.
Love coming back watching this vid it was one of the deciding factors for me getting my z almost 2 yrs ago just rolled over 2000 miles on MI e today. I'm sure its about to thaw out up north where your at make us some Z videos with both of yours soon how many miles do u have on both of yours now
DUNE hey man I was just watching your YXZ oil change video again a couple days ago! I don't have a great memory lol... where's the raptor videos? I suppose it's super hot out there
@@tackhammer222 We are blazing 🥵 out here! Videos coming soon around dune season! I cannot tell you how happy I am to help people save money and learn to enjoy their own toys. I feel a person can really bond with their machine and get to know it when you do your own maintenance.
Great video !!!! someone other than me ripping their YXZ. I've got a 21' SS SE and my buddy has a 22' SS Wish we had an area like that to hammer our cars. thanks for your other videos too. I've definitely learned a lot from your content. I just subbed
I went from a 18 teryx to a 21 KRX then to a 21 xp4 highlifter and now I'm in a 21 Yxz SS. My first ride on it was completely disappointing from dead take off trying to climb it would jerk like a child trying to learn how to drive a manual.I noticed clutch engagement was set at 3000 rpm.It wouldn't even load on my dove tail trailer without the ramps down. Took it back to the dealership and now clutch engagement is set at 1800 rpm and it'll load now without jerking and hoping.Havent had the chance to ride yet to see how it does on the trails.
You drive that area frequently? I know exactly where that is so its cool to see a yxz there.. since I just picked up my yxz today and am bringing it up there in a weekend or two.
I have the Krash Off-road cage. It is the short version. There is also a medium and tall version available. I was told that the cage is about 4" lower in the front at the roof line and 2" shorter in the rear above the riders head than stock. I have stock seats and I am 6"1 and I wear a helmet when riding most times and I have a lot of head clearance still. If you need more head clearance I would get NRG seats to lower the seating position and center of gravity rather than going with a taller cage. The visibility is great even on hill climbs and dunes with the roof line and I dont even notice that the intrusion bars are there. The cage comes with awesome adjustable harness mounts and tabs for the stock yamaha windshield and I had them add tabs for my light bar and chase bar. This Krash cage is honestly the best craftsmanship and quality out of pretty much any product I have ever purchased. The only down side is that the cages take 4+ months for them to build, powder coat and ship. They do have an option for a spare tire carrier/rear bumper as well. Im not sponsored by them or anything I have just been blown away by the quality. krashoffroad.com/products/2019-preset-yxz-radius-cage
I got a brand new 2021YXZ 1000r SS SE and it only has 2.4 miles on it …I’ve owned it for about a month and haven’t even ridden it… Are they really that fun
I’m using the an older garmin nuvi and I bought the VVmapping orv and snowmobile trail maps. The one I got is for Michigan and Wisconsin only. VV mapping just sends you an SD card with the trail maps on it. You just pop it into the gps and it will give you turn by turn directions on the trails. I have a video about the gps setup components that I am running. That is awesome. Mine has been absolutely reliable too. The YXZ may not be the smoothest ride but it is definitely exciting and really tough.

Whats top speed?
I have had it up around 94-96mph but mine has the ECU tune that removes the speed limiter. The Stock yxz is limited to around 80 mph. no turbo

Hey you lost your wife at 5:02
yeah. She wasn't too sure about going up any hills with me. She wanted to see me do it a few times first.
IDK this seems geared way to low.....
The yxz engine revs really high. You shift around 10k rpm like a street bike.
