Thank you for your videos! I received this machine for Christmas, but the instruction pages got tossed with the wrapping paper. 🙃 I sort of figured it out on my own, but your tutorial videos helped me so much! Hand knitting has been so aggravating for me, counting and dropped stitches, I love using this machine!❤ I will be checking out your other videos for sure. TY
Thanks for you tutorials. I watched the casting off video and I still can't see what is being picked up with the darning needle. I initially was taking the stitch AND the loop for reach PIN (two loops on the needle). It looks like it is ONLY the stitch on the "v" is picked up, is that correct? I tried the weaving (back, then front, then back) when casting off. It looks much easier to pick up the stitch from the back only all the way around, so thank you for that tip! The other way had me dropping stitches everywhere and loosing the project completely! One last comment for the hat project. I prefer to gather the project at the bottom of the loom as it closes to a "magic ring" kind of closure. I find closing the end that was cast off leaves a little bunchy top that even if turned inward would bug my head. Just a preference thing. Thank you again. I'm getting ready to start another hat and use your cast off technique. So far my experience WITHOUT your tutorial has been TONS OF DROPPED STITCHES (nightmare central). Wish me luck and happy crafting to you! Janet Tampa, FL
Hi Janet, thanks for watching! Yes, when casting off, I'm only picking off the loops that rest on the pegs. I've also found it helpful nowadays to use a darning needle with a bent tip. I'm so glad I could help you out a bit, good luck with your future projects! ♥
Have you tried the e-wrap cast on? It allows for making a clean edge similar to hand knitting and you can tighten it up. You just don't do the slip knot. Then after you do a few rows you go to the last e-wrap and slowly tighten them till you get to the first e-wrap. You knot it as normal and then finish your project.
When you put the yarn through all three holes, you get the tightest tension possible for this machine. It's really helpful if you're using a thinner yarn like I did in my sock tutorial.
@@InfinitiCraftingCo 😅 I just got the Sentro machines so I think I got a little too crank happy and ended up making a scarf that wraps around 3x times. L0L
@@InfinitiCraftingCo for 4/medium/10 ply yarn its about 285 yards (260m) of yarn per 200 rows on the medium tension using a sentro 48, so a scarf of 450 rows would use about 640 yards of yarn (i think)
Hi Linda, If you're working on the 48 needle machine, you could just not use the tension thingy when you crank. You could also try to use stretchier yarns to see if that helps.
What happen, I do not see any more tutorials using the Sentro. Did you have problems with it? Love your other tutorials I was just looking for more on the Sentro machine. TFS
Hi! My school schedule has been really hectic lately and I haven't had much time to record sadly. I'll be doing more Sentro tutorials in the future though.
Hi Infiniti! Just getting in the rhythm with my knitting machine like this and i loveeee it but i do have a question, How do I avoid stich holes in my project? Also how can I fix them? If you have a video of this you can mention that link to me as well.
Hi Mariah! I'm glad that you're happy with your new machine! What do you mean by stitch holes? Are they dropped stitches or something else? I have one tutorial about stitches that bunch up on the needles but if you can clarify, I'll be more than glad to explore that for you. 😊 feel free to email me.
Hi! When I did this video, I was simply unaware of that technique. Now that I've been using the machine for a few years, the curling doesn't really bother me as I work through the garments. I do like the sound of that, so I will try it in the future! Thanks for the tip. If you're used to using waste yarn, please do continue to use it. I'd just never heard of it.
Hi Abigail, The numbers indicate the number of working needles that the machine has. The 48 allows you to make adult sized hats and scarves (among other projects) the 22, I mainly use for socks and scrunchies. There's also a 40 but I haven't bought one of those yet
Hi, this may sound a bit strange but could you upload a video of you creating a scarf or something but it's just the time lapse? Sorry, I just find people making thing on this machine satisfying!
Hi Maritza, this is a 48 needle machine! I think this size machine makes hats that are teen-adult sized personally. I think you could possibly make one from a flat panel though! Happy to help!
@@InfinitiCraftingCo Thank you very much for your prompt response. I am buying one for my granddaughter (she is 6 y.o.) and I am not sure if I get the 22 needle or the 48. Thanks again for the help.
They also have a 40 needle size, that might be a good middle ground. The 22 needle machine makes baby sized items. You're very welcome! I'm glad to help 💕
I really enjoyed your tutorial with the Sentro 48. I'm getting ready to start on my first scarf. I look forward to more projects from you. Thank you for taking the time to share. Happy fall!
My husband got me this machine for Christmas but ive been trying to get the hang of it except for some reason when i doing it my machine keeps randomly dropping stitches so i have to keep re-doing everything
Hi Jackie, Some yarns are really incompatible with this machine. I recommend trying a thinner yarn like Lion Brand Pound of Love or Mandala. Basic Stitch is a good 4 weight yarn that works with the machine also!
@@InfinitiCraftingCo the only yarns i use right now are 4 weight so im not sure what the issue was then but i was able to make a scarf with only dropping 3 stitches this last time

I love your tutorials. Your channel came up in my feed, and I am so glad that it did. Ive learned so much for your tutorials. Thank you for sharing.
I just got mine 3 days ago and now I am realizing how much imma have to practice. In like a month I’ll have a hat.
You’re great at explaining everything! Thank you, I’ve learned a lot.
If you cast off with 2rows of a different color, you have a clear line to sew along.
Thank you for the video❤. Can you say what the glue was please as couldn't make it out on the video? 😉

How many rows using other yarns for a scarf?
love the tutorial. thinking of getting one. I AM one of those people who gets hot in winter! LOL

Hi Lucia,
Congrats on your new machine! If you need any other help, I have a Sentro knitting machine playlist on my channel. ♥ Thanks for watching!
I will check it . I made 4 hats already :) thank you 😊
I’d like to see a video on making a cardigan sweater

How do you spell the fabric glue you used for the project
Hi Geraldine,
The fabric glue is called Fray Check 🤗
Thank you, I have used a white yarn and added some glitter yarn at the same time, I am putting pom poms on the ends of my scarf.
Can we do this on any circular machine or only a Sentra I’m new to this and have not yet done anything.
Hi Rosa, I want to say the answer is yes. I don't have much experience outside of this machine though.
@@InfinitiCraftingCo Thank you for responding.

Do you have a pattern for how many rounds for a basic scarf ? My scarves always end up too long.
You could try around 450 rows, I think that's about where I cast off when I make hat/scarf sets.

It sounds like one of your stitches might be too tight? Make sure yarn isn't stuck on the next peg as you're turning.
@@InfinitiCraftingCo ok thanks it works
When do you take your slip knot off?

The slip knot never comes off. The project knits up normally but starting off with the slip knot makes sewing much easier later on.
