Finally someone who takes the time to explain things to first-time users in a way they can follow and not like a lot of computer geeks race through it. Thanks so much!!
Thanks very much, very kind of you. Glad you were able to follow along which is what I wanted. As you say some rush through things and I'm finding that with many tutorial videos so I try to resolve that by doing them myself for first timers and intermediates too. Thanks again!
Hey @Nobleflex101 - Wow thanks very much, I'm very pleased I was able to help. The video was requested by another subscriber as they didn't know where to start, probably like yourself too, so glad you found it helpful. Is there something else you don't know how to do with a Yubikey ?
@@MrTimTech2022 yes sir i was really lost before until I stumbled upon your video and was so amazed by the way you've explained everything so spot on, I'm just learning how to use this amazing little piece of device and have ordered a second backup which is on it's way soon, may i ask how to setup the yubikey for my Amazon account, i would be really appreciative if you could do a little bit of tutorial on that too, thanks alot.
Finally an explanation for using a Yubikey on a Microsoft account! I'm not a big fan of Google even though I use an Android phone. This is such a big help to me. I can finally stop scouring RUclips for exactly this subject. Thank you so much, Tim.
Hey @candyhill7266 - Wow thank's so much for your great feedback and letting me know. I can't believe some other YTers haven't done the same video. So pleased you've found this video useful for accessing Microsoft accounts! Thanks again This video was actually taken from the suggestion by @toondesmarets3033 in the comments as he mentioned it would be a good idea to do one and I thought you know what it would. So thanks again to him!
Thanks very very much Tim. That’s an extremely claer, concise and succinct explanation! Now I succeeded perfectly! One question left. I see by Microsoft that you have now two 2FA. Which will it take first when I start a new device: the text code or the code from the yubico authenticater?
Glad you liked it and found it worked for you. Good question, in fact I'm not quite sure after adding yubikey I removed my text option. I think it should give you the option to change it when logging in, so you should get an option to change from yubikey to text or text to yubikey - I think! Give it a go and see if you get the option to change method when logging in to Microsoft.com
Oh well, sorry nothing I can do about that, maybe provide some suggested feedback to Yubico, maybe they could incorporate the app on a Key, so just plug and run sort of thing. Maybe contact their support team ?

Thxs for these tutorials and sharing your Yubikey information.
My pleasure! Thanks for your appreciative feedback too. It was at a request from a comment left by a subscriber.
