Hercules was an incredibly entertaining character in the Avengers comics. Some of the best Avenger stories written were when he was a member.

So glad to see Frog-Man on your list! Spider-Gwen in the same wave, another figure you no longer have, I would rank even higher (you would too apparently). Both are top five for the year for me, along with AoA Iceman, Red Skull, and Ultron. I wasn't counting Thanos because he's a deluxe, but yeah, he's amazing.

I have to agree, that Riri Williams face sculpt was phenomenal. At worse, it's tied for best face sculpt of the year with whatever someone else thinks is as good of a face sculpt.

Yes, in fact, that’s what I thought of immediately. I had stopped reading before AoA, so his Leifeld-ian gladiator inspired costume strikes me as off, though I guess it’s accurate for the series. But the Colossus I recognize is the contemplative Colossus, the quiet Russian farmer-boy trapped in a world bigger than he ever wanted.
And an editing note, but foul on the play for the Stealth Iron Man review. Dust off Tony there, Dave! Display model modeling behavior!
But joking aside, love the video. Keep up the great work.

I really like the collection since the big sell off - too many figures in too small a space just blends it all together. Small, better posed collections ftw.
Multiple "What if?" characters on this list and not the zombie cap? I'm not big into zombies, but I can't recall ever posing a figure so easily and as a bonus, nearly any position you put it in worked. Holes through, sculpting in, and paint on the legs was not something I would've expected, let alone it being done so well.
Zombie Cap is in my Top Ten. It's a pleasure to pose and like you said, literally he looks great in any pose. I'm hoping then make more Zombie heros

I purchased the whole wave primarily for the watcher BAF, and oddly enough he didn't come with a BAF piece; but I guess it's like the original matrix... one cannot be *told* how poseable the figure is, they must experience it for themselves.
D Amazing's vid did a solid review on it... but then again, when does he do anything that doesn't make a figure look great? 🤷♂️

Not sure if its been mentioned, but i believe i have an answer to your question about why repainted spidy 2099 costs as much as AOA sabretooth. They're not charging by figure. We are just paying per figure. The "extra money" we pay for repaints pays for all the bells and whistles on other figures. That way AOA sabretooth doesnt cost 40 bucks. This is probably super over simplified, but it would be my guess. This is all. I super enjoy your channel. You're enthusiasm is contagious. So, thank you.

That AoA Colossus BAF has got to be my absolute favorite this year! The only thing I would change is making him thicker in profile view. His back and chest seem to be a bit on the lean side for such a big figure, so I would personally give him a bit more girth is his chest and back if I could. I'm so glad this version of Colossus came with that super angry, rage filled face, which is true to this line of the comics.
He needed to do more lat pull downs in the gym!

Again, thanks so much for including him. As you said; who knows where this will go? Aunt May, Bruce Banner, General T-bolt in his uniform etc. I love your picks and who can't say 2021 is the year of the Sentinel? Holding my breath that Hasbro continues their excellence with figures like Red Skull, Ultron, Doom, and Psych-Man into 2022 with some other classic villains.
Would you consider a 2021 "Meh" list? Ones that you bought (whether in a wave, BAF or Set) that left you wanting more?

Your loos modular iron man joints are not alone, mine has loose joints at the bottom making it hard to stand up as well.

A new subscriber to your channel and absolutely love the content. Excellent list, favorite Legends for me is that spectacular Modular Iron Man, the red on him is so majestic. Definitely a standout. The joints on mine are all tight and can hold a great pose, unfortunate you got a loose figure.

Riri Williams/Ironheart is my figure of the year. She's got the all new sculpt, the pinless joints, a great set of accessories, double elbows and those beautiful reds and golds! Great to see her getting some recognition!
PS: I used the smoke effects as like, dust kicked up by her boot thrusters in flying poses. I'm not sure why she specifically has them but like, I'm not saying no to new effect pieces and we'll probably see them again down the line
That makes the smoke make sense!

Fantastic list. I agree with most of these, but in my Top 25 I would include the classic Ultron who was long overdue, and Zombie Captain America, who looks amazing and is a pleasure to pose. Psycho Man as well.

It's a fun and interesting list, as usual, Dave! Always enjoy watching them. Did I agree with all of them...? Nah, but that's not important to me really, because you had a lot of good stuff in there, and reasons for wanting it there... And honestly, dude, I have NO idea what MY own list would even look like, lol.😅
As for AoA Colossus... I ended up with enough BAF parts to build him, thanks to a friend... All but the head anyway. Fortunately, I discovered that the heads from the Warlock BAF wave Colossus fit perfectly AND match up colors nicely, so I can use the extra head for the BIGGER BAF Colossus! 😁 So now I CAN have "quiet contemplative" Colossus, OR Bearded Colossus...!😉
I ALSO cut off those damned suspenders, added some black & yellow details to his trunks & armor, and NOW he looks fantastic as an alternate reality version of Colossus instead of AoA.
I MUCH prefer him now over the comics version...!!!
Spider-Gwen... YES, an excellent figure all the way around... BUT, I REALLY DON'T like that unmasked head AT ALL... I GET that it's the animated Spider-verse head sculpt, AND I get that they did an excellent rendition of translating it from CGI to Toy form, VERY well done in that regard, no doubt about it. "Then WHY don't I like it?" I'd say it's straight up due to the fact that I have YET to get the comic version in the Absorbing Man BAF wave (because I NEED Creel's wrecking ball), and didn't really give a crap about the Spider-verse movie/character versions, and therefore DON'T like the animated style head on an otherwise superior version of the figure.
Ordinarily, I'd just use the masked head and call it a day, but with her, I like BOTH hooded and unmasked display options, so that animated head DOESN'T work for me... Thankfully, I have an extra retro Gwen head that I can use for a more comic style Gwen.
Even though it's not a typical Legends figure, I'm glad you DID include the Sentinel in your list, AND made him number ONE! Well done.

Captain Britain from the Excalibur boxed set with the Excalibur sword is an amazing figure too! The figure doesn’t appear to be a reissue or just a modified version of the original figure. I liked that whole little set to be quite honest.

Zombie Captain America and Surtur are my top 2 figures of 2021 and they're both missing from this list. They both pop and stand out on the shelf. There could be a whole sub-line of marvel zombie figures and I hope to see more with the marvel zombies Disney plus show. And Surtur is the biggest figure I have and if not for the cop out of the Sentinel, Surtur would have been the biggest figure of the year.
Those are both great looking figures. I never picked them up but they were popular!

I watched your worst figures video first. I bought the Stilt-Man group of figures to build Stilt-Man, and kept the Frogman figure. Two very obscure figures that I enjoyed in the comic books.

It was scheduled for Jan 2021 but started trickling out in some places in Dec. Judges? They're going to let it pass! :)
Yeah they didn't drop in the UK till Jan
The release date was 2021, some people were lucky and got them in late 2020, but because of the release it should count as 2021.

Comparing the Sentinel to marvel legends is like comparing apple to steak hahaha, it will always be the steak. Awesome list. Miles Morales Stealth is really awesome btw, it's probably the best marvel legends spiderman figure ever for me haha

Top 25? Just couldn’t leave anyone behind huh? Jokes aside I really like this format as it can get repetitive watching other people’s top 10 videos and seeing Modular Iron Man 50 times. This can help highlight figures that are still good but maybe not the absolute best of the year and I like that.

Don't beat yourself up over it, OR rush to "react"... I watched it, found it boring & repetitive, overly dark lighting (even for the Dark Knight), so you can barely even make out the characters... A LOT like the $#!tty AVP2 movie was... Shot in what I call "Darkovision"...
I understand "mood" lighting in movies, and how it affects the mind when watching certain things, BUT I felt like everything I saw was being filmed under the SAME DAMN street light... And apparently The Riddler works at Starbucks these days, (NOT to give away the awesome "plot", lol, but it seems while he was in one of his numerous and latest lockups in prison, he either read some Batman comics, or watched some $#!tty Batman movies, and stole a few ideas for his big movie... But not the GOOD ideas...🤔).
You MAY have correctly deduced that I will NOT be going to the theatres and pay to watch THIS Batrocity... So, take your time, because Spider-Man 🕷 looks WAY BETTER, and the normally colorful villains aren't shadow dwelling coffee ☕ dweebs... 😅😅😅
Now, to be fair, I'll tell you that I LIKE BOTH Marvel & DC properties, always have... And while they take turns at the top spot in the comics market (where writing & artwork are concerned) from time to time over the years... DC has somehow NOT understood or found the formula for making a GOOD, a REALLY GOOD, superhero movie yet... (THEY get RIGHT, about the amount that Marvel gets WRONG, quality-wise... But BOTH are sad with wokeness, which is what HAS killed the Star Wars $#!t in recent years under Disney, AND is what's killing BOTH companies' printed comics these days...)
With EVERY DC movie, I just feel like I need to carry a freaking flashlight 🔦 in order to watch them... They spend MILLIONS on costuming & other visual details (as THIS IS A VISUAL MEDIUM!!!), and then HIDE IT ALL UNDER SHADOWS & DARKNESS... Seriously, WTF?!! I refer BACK to AVP2 as ONE of, if not THE WORST, offenders in this regard... (Obviously, AVP2 isn't a DC property... BUT holy crap, are these directors using it as a reference or something?!!)
But hey, that's just me, LOL... Maybe you'll like it more.

While I know it largely sounds like I'm not a Batman/DC fan, as a lifetime comic nerd I really do like all those characters & properties. I'm ALSO always hopeful that they'll be awesome to watch/read (movies & comics respectively), BUT unfortunately, more & MORE they are disappointing me, Marvel too in some cases (looking AT YOU, "Captain Marvel"... $#!tty woke@$$ $#!t...).
BOTH companies NEED to leave this "real world woke" crap OUT of their movies.... AND comics!!! This stuff is supposed to be "ENTERTAINMENT", where after a long day of dealing with all the regular crap & daily dumb@$$ery of other people & events, you sit down, enjoy a meal & a movie or comics and just take your mind off that crap... Not get dragged into MORE of it with an agenda being pushed on us! We're supposed to be entertained, NOT indoctrinated, with this stuff.
