FD's are not meant to be switched off on an ILS approach on the 737. Only time you'd touch them on an approach would be to recycle during an NPA approach, to provide guidance for go around
Not true, depends on your airline's SOPs if this is prohibited, but it is entirely normal to switch the FDs off for a raw data approach, when flying an ILS.
Sure it can depend on the SOP, and you're right, however raw data approach requires extra briefing and coordination from crew members, and generally isn't something that's done too often on line. Answering the question above I gave a general answer, since it sounded to me the person was under the impression that FD's usually come off on an ILS. Also for it to be a "true" raw data approach, ND's technically shouldn't be on map mode..
Good t see You are the Captain again :)
How does this compare to flying caravans in Indonesia captain? Do you miss the thrills of bush flying?
The 737. The Honda Civic of airplanes
Or Toyota Corolla 😜
Whats the reason why you dont put the FD off? Ps nice video and landing👍

No autobrakes?
Good catch mate 👍
What airline is this?
Eldie Lad Norwegian
no speedbrake set?
paolo ciociola Looks set to me :)
Autobrakes is disabile:-)
paolo ciociola oh not the speedbrake.
You mean the autobrake. No autobrake is set on this landing. You are correct.
Spead breaks were set by the captain however no auto breaks. Its fine as they've got good threshold and weather and runway condition is fairly fine 🙂
