Awesome, thanks for your comment! We look forward to supplying you with a Diablo exhaust soon. :-) Please get in touch if you need any advice or assistance.
You Sir are an absolute pro! I'm trying to figure out how to make baffles for my 2013 Suzuki M90's dual 4 inch exhaust that the previous owner drilled out. I think I can fabricate something based on your video.
Nice video, love the craftsmanship I was wondering, do you also sell the metal layer of the packing material you used in the video ? Seems to me that will prevent prematurely blowing out of the actual packing material ?
Thank you. No sorry, we don't. I do believe you can buy it online though. It is called 'stainless steel wire wool'. And yes it will be beneficial for the longevity of your exhaust if fitted. (y)
Is this refurb cost effective ? What I mean by that is the cost of your labour and parts to do this more expensive than buying a new one or does it come in cheaper ?
Yes it is definitely worth it and cost effective for the customer but it does depend on a number of factors. If it is a resleeve and repack then is cost effective and is cheaper than buying new. If there is more damage to the exhaust, ie the end caps are damaged, then no it is probably not worth it. We are only referring to our exhausts here.
@@FuelExhaustsLtd good to know - I have one of your systems so good to know that this service is available. When you media blast the end caps or link pipe does it remove all traces of dirt/crap/tar/ etc. and bring them back to a new finish ?
@@buncobooth yes but it does need a certain amount of cleaning up anyway before it goes in the blaster. Adding the media blasting service will increase the cost. I actually was only referring to repacking and resleeving in my last comment. ;-)
No we do not supply wire wool as it is on a large roll here and gets tangled as soon as we uncoil it. You can repack without the wire wool though. The repacking kit includes the wadding, rivets and a drill bit for use on stainless steel.
@@FuelExhaustsLtd thanks for getting back to me. Going to use your vid to walk myself through the repack as most shops around me only want to do quick turn around jobs like brakes, tires, carb synch, etc.... Going to have to get a drift pipe and a pipe like you used to roll the new material on. Are they both the same diameter and was wondering what size drill bit you use. I've never done a muffler repack so..... and mine is carbon so have to be extra careful I guess
@@Woods_Hiker No they are not the same diameter. We use a 4.1mm drill bit. We have a repacking kit here - www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370902348307?hash=item565b80b213:g:EI0AAOSwAL9UiYvg. This is the size to get the best sound whilst remaining UK road legal. Making a longer baffle does not always effect the sound much and can also make a difference to the performance. The baffle length takes this into account to get the best overall result.
A true craftsman and joy to watch
Thanks for the comment @Andrew Dace, pleased you enjoyed it. ;-)
I cannot believe you media blasted those end caps.
They now look PHUQED!!!
Everyone to their own! 🙂
Fantastic to see a British company manufacturing first class products here in the UK, I’ll be getting a Diablo for my Africa Twin soon.

Interesting video .... Just goes to show you don't need a shop full of fancy machines to fabricate a top quality bike silencer.

Wasn't sold on a Fuel exhaust untill i watched this. Definitely to be looking to purchase one in the future! Awsome job!
@Sam Whiting glad you liked it! :-)
What a brilliant video. True expertise 😊
Thanks very much! 🙂
Very informative video, Thank you for sharing this Sir.
No problem. Glad you found it interesting. 🙂
Great job
thank you!
Nicely done sir!
Thank you. :-)
Is that one is Aarons Exhaust? was a great day riding up to visit the workshop and chatting with you and your wife.
Hayden Bent hey! Yes good to meet you guys too! No this one isn’t Aaron’s. If I remember rightly he just had a repack, not a resleeve. 👍🏻
What size of rivet did you use?
@@anythingonwheels2730 sorry only just seen this. 4x8 dome heads.

@@FuelExhaustsLtd Ah no worries, I'll find it, thanks for the tip !
What kind of drill do you use to make the rivets removed so fast? Are the rivets stainless steel or aluminum? Thanks for a very useful video.
We use a 4.1mm Bronze Tempered HSS-E Stub Drill from Dormer. The rivets are stainless. You are welcome! 🙂
My friend i try to replacement my pipe. Can you teach me how to make some technique for the pipe be strong bass sound? Hugs from Thailand.
@Sam, all the info we can give is in the video. We are unable to offer any further assistance. Good luck. :-)
Do you repack silencers for other makes? I've got a pair of Arrows on my Ducati which are way too loud
No sorry we only repack our own exhausts. 😞
Good video. Thank You.
@Imtada no problem, thank you!
Would you be making link pipes for the Harley Davidson Pan America?
No plans to, sorry.
What size drill bit for the rivets?
4.10mm drill bit for these rivets. :-)
If my exhaust doesn't have that cylinder on the inside, could I get it somewhere or make an adaptation? it's too noisy for my liking
Do you mean the perforated tube through the centre?
@@FuelExhaustsLtd Yes
@@ricardogarcia2915 is it one of our exhausts? If not then you would have to try buying some perf tube online.
@@FuelExhaustsLtd I have not been able to find it by piece, I only see for large quantities (from China) 😪

@@FuelExhaustsLtd I live in Bangladesh and make many hobbies
Hi, are ART classic exhausts the same as FUEL classic exhaust..
No we are two completely different brands. ART are no longer trading and haven’t been for well over 10 years.
Tapping top in surely mucks up first cap which was not riveted especially with mirror stuff 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Yes if you do not know what you are doing you can easily scrap a load of exhausts. We have over 25 years experience doing it right! ;-)
why a so small baffle on a long exhaust

Can you dB kill a jcb jet washer?!!!
I wouldn't have thought so as the noise is from the pump. Not something we have ever been asked before! ;-)
