Very cool. Thanks for showing it us. Even if it is inexpensive for a tourbillon, there are about ten other watches I would buy for the price. Not to mention ten watches I can buy period for the same price. Ha! Thanks though. The dust is a little disappointing…
Peacock also produces movements that have a striking resemblance to some Rolex movements. Their SL line of chronographs share the exact same construction (except for the balance) with the Rolex Daytona caliber 4130. Some people would also tell you that they produce the VS3135 and VS3235 for the best Rolex lookalike watches. But there would be no way of knowing.
As we all know, the most expensive part of any tourbillion watch is the three Puffs from an air blower and dabbing the dial with rodico to clean the dust off. That's why they can afford to make this one so inexpensively.
Interesting watch. Obviously a harsh judgment but the way i see it, the biggest stigma chinese watches have to face is qc. If dust is being sent to a youtuber, then i have no faith for the customers hope
Excellent video. Did you know that Aragon watches are selling a beautiful central tourbillon watch for $1000. Probably a Peacock movement, but I don't know.
Dave, that was one of the best explanations of a tourbillon. Well done! My worry is can you trust the manufacturer to take care of any problems down the road? Send your watch back to China for repair and hope for the best? I could handle that for a $300 watch that maybe doesn't come back. But not at this price point!
While I certainly appreciate the craftmanship of tourbillon pieces, their inherent grandiosity holds no aesthetic appeal to me whatsoever. Perhaps a better name for this model would've been the "Dusty Hole".
Isn't it funny that the finishing and small design elements on a back of the watch look much better than on the front? (except for tourbillon, although it also leaves something to be desired)
My concern is for down the road, not intial purchase. What happens say after a year and the watch stops? Send it to the factory in China? Will I see it again?
A tourbo keeps the batter stirred so it doesn’t stick to the bowl basically. I just got one for $260 last month, sure not the greatest looking ever but still fascinating to watch
Tourbillon mechanism is very cool, in any watch. But the highly variable quality control I have experienced in Chinese pieces is a showstopper for me. Really appreciate that you did such a useful and thorough review. Thanks!
Well done with your explanation of the tourbillon function, one of the best I've heard. A bit like a chrono, I suspect very few people buy one for the function but more for the look or the wow factor; after all almost everyone has a phone that will time things much more easily than any watch. I can't see this sticking around in your collection and would be fascinated to hear what you sold it for!
Love your videos, but I do have one nit to pick. Automatic watches are mechanical. I know a lot of watch brands use the word mechanical to be equivalent to mechanical and hand wound, but any watch that keeps time with springs and gears is mechanical. I wouldn't mention this except my OCD is compelling me to. Otherwise an outstanding video and a very interesting watch.
those dust should not be there,it shows how bad qc they have but excellent engineering at reasonable price and they can improve their qc in a near future and it will be worth for us who do not have lots of money to spend 3k usd for peacock
Affordable is relative. 3.5k for a tourbillon is relatively affordable. Still way out of my budget but I think it still suits the theme of this channel - relatively speaking. =) As long as most videos are more in the less than 2k range,I still enjoy these videos as well.
This is inevitably what happens to all watch enthusiasts. You move upmarket for no good reason besides you want to. I’d rather see JDM only models. Most are relatively easy to get in the US but finding them to begin w/ is the challenge.
I would love it if he covered the Casio F-84W. I would say that every third video should be a budget watch. But doing expensive watches like this is fine but try to have a balance of both.

Sponsorship material! Thanks for the exceptional coverage of the watch.❤from Beverly Hills, FL.
Impressive workmanship. But not what I'd go for. Best of luck to Peacock watches.
The Chinese are coming along very nicely.
The back of that watch is crazy

Check Aragon watches.
Fantastic lesson in watch mechanics, the most clear I’ve ever heard, thanks.🙏
Can you do a travelogue to Nakano and other watch places in Japan? That would be interesting to see. Thanks.

Love tourbillons especially the spinning tri axial tourbillons those are mesmerizing to look at.
It does look like a cool piece. Yet I think it is a steep price 🤷🏼♂️
Excellent video. Did you know that Aragon watches are selling a beautiful central tourbillon watch for $1000. Probably a Peacock movement, but I don't know.
Is that genuine? They have them "on sale" for around $500.
Can you do citizen atessa review?
Maybe they gave you the one watch that didn't pass QC on purpose. 3 grand is still 3 grand .
Good information you're passing on Dave, thanks bro

I trust Dave's professionalism. If the quality or service doesn't meet your expectation. The credit card company or paypal can protect you.
Looks about as close as us normal people will get to a DeBethune, very cool

Neato,thanks for the review

Excellent description & explanations.
Dude are you 6 5, 300 lbs? How does 46mm look so small on your wrist?
Just beautiful for the price. 🤘🤩

What music does he use in the intro? Such a nice song

Stop it, get some help.
really cool watch. Love to watch the tourbillon up close.
What is your Wrist-Size?
it's better to save your money than spending thousands of dollars for a chinese made watch especially with poor q.c.

Yup you're absolutely right. I only use the term mechanical that way to avoid confusion.
@@JusttheWatch I completely get it now that you say that 😊
Reminds me of that Omega Deville tourbillon. With the tourbillon being in the center like that.
Great video Dave!!!

Please go back to talking about affordable watches. There are enough videos about crazy watches and subsequently absurd prices on RUclips.
Disagree. There are also enough people talking about affordable watches. Let the man talk about what he’s interested in - can we agree on that?

@@Bob_Smith19 “you want to” is a perfectly good reason
