- This is going to be the Final video on Jason Todd since I feel like everyone on RUclips has basically covered his story. Shoutout to Dibbage since he was the first one with the idea. Hopefully, you enjoyed this 22 minutes of footage I made, took about a week to make and so many bugs and glitches, unlike last time this finally formatted properly since its only 1080p to 30fps instead of 50 or 60 like the times before. The only glitch is during the quotes of his boss fight which didn't format properly due to the online video cutter I used, other than that, it's watchable. Seeing how Jason still cares about Alfred and everyone deep down is pretty heartbreaking.
He doesn't care about Tim Drake though I thought he would since its not his fault that he was replaced. But he beat Tim Drake in the comic

There's actually some dialog when fighting Jason he says "You wanna know where he kept me? Huh? I was soo close" this is so creepy to think about how close Batman was to Jason Todd in Arkham Asylum while he was being tortured

It’s like the one scene from the movie “Prisoners” (2013) where Hugh Jackman’s character is so close near her missing daughters and exact location but never actually finds her. Such a horrifying thought, and imagine your captor being the Joker. 😬 ehhh just put chills down my spine.
Would’ve been cool to say Jason during the games, but Rocksteady only implemented Jason in the series during Arkham Knight
Honestly the story of how Jason became the Arkham Knight is far more interesting than what he actually did as the Arkham Knight. In the comics he was just abused by the Joker, then killed and was revived by the League of Assassins.
But in the Arkham timeline it was not just physical but psychology torture. Jason basically survived by the skin of the teeth and went from nothing to getting trained and creating an army

I admit that I prefer the head canon of Jason becoming the Arkham Knight first, before becoming the Red Hood later on.

Say what you will about Arkham Knight, but it does a perfect job with the dark subtlety of Jason's story. Whenever we see any references or callbacks to the past in stories and games you get bashed in the head with it and subtlety is no where to be found. The small things we never notice tell a hidden story that you'll never see unless you know the story exists. Instead of using the future to explain the past, they use the past to show what really happened. You have so many different options of what happened, the irony of Joker's origin mirrors Jason in the Arkhamverse is great. Personaly I think the only torture we've seen that's real is the Batman Arkham VR Joker tape, where Jason's death was faked. Batman Arkham Knight should have never used the Joker blood turns ppl into Joker plotline, it greatly confuses the fucking point of the fear toxin. Batman doesn't fear literally becoming a Were-Joker
He didn't have Joker's memories, but the fear toxin created a side of him that is driving him insane. Using the guilt he's hid then turning it into his self punishment. Batman VR is a nightmere before Knight, in Arkham you can hear Jason's screaming and pleading to stop. VR's story also shows Dick and Tim dying, both Robins were killed by Batman showing his immense guilt and how he blames Jason's death on himself. The locations we see could be as far as he'll go re living Jason 's torture because he knew he'd murder Joker, I like this theory but I enjoy the scenes being literal teling Jason's story. I think the main room he was in is near young's office, but he was taken around the Asylum as another layer of torture. Joker would use this to show Jason that even when he took him out of hiding no one cared enough to save him, with him being a few feet away from Batman he still wouldn't save him. The worst thought is that if he sent Joker back to Arkham he would inadvertently hurt Jason too. It's horrifying to know that for 2 years an abundance of villians also beat Jason and knew where Jason was the whole time.They never gave a hint to Batman about his son's true fate, just waiting to beat Jason again and again with the Joker's permission of course. Guard Bowles would let Joker out everynight to beat Jason. If Joker ever owed something to the villians, he'd let them beat Jason even if Joker wasn't there.
Even after all of that he still had the heart that cared about Alfred and Barbra.

And dick. He never hated dick he always loved him.

Jason was tortured in every building besides the Botanical Gardens and old sewers, every time a spot was about to get compromised, he took him elsewhere, like when he took him to the penitentiary to let Bane, Penguin and Calendar man and other villains beat him

The biggest missed opportunity was not having Bruce and Barbara ever discuss the Knight after they figured out his identity. They should've mentioned it on the way to the GCPD after leaving the HQ.

If u look at life the way Jason does he’s actually right Batman let joker and a lot of other murderers kill and did nothing but put them in jail and it wasn’t going anywhere so Jason had to step up and do what Bruce couldn’t

It’s cool to think when batman was in the asylum there was so much going on that he didn’t know of
I mean besides the Jason Todd incident, there wasn’t much. You could include Joker shipping out TITAN Containers, Two Face escaping and terrorising Gotham, ecsetera ecsetera
all that money and he can't donate to make it a maximum security prison
I really like the amount of research you did for this video, the arrangement and the explanation, it all goes to show the amount of effort put into it... I am a huge fan of DC and especially the batfamily and Jason has always been a character of interest for me, be it the comics or the games... So I always keep coming back to Arkham Knight or Red Hood related content... But I haven't seen a single video so far which expresses the depth of the story so well, good job!

After Batman held out his hand offering to try to help Jason, Jason hesitated to put the gun down, but eventually does even though he knows he could’ve shot Batman in his weak spots like he pointed out earlier in the game. It’s almost like he simultaneously agreed to try to work things out. Especially when Batman had to take off the cowl and Scarecrow was going to shoot Bruce but Jason saved him. This is such an emotional story and I absolutely love it!

The fact that you can find the place in "the sanctuary" where joker filmed the video of him shooting jason as well as all kinds of other places jason was held is chilling. For the entire game batman is so damn close to finding him. I'm imagining joker giving jason cctv access and him watching batman get so close to the room he's in, screaming for help, desperately hoping everything joker told him was wrong. But then batman doesn't find him, and jason has to watch as his only hope walks away

Nope, they didn’t plan Jason in Asylum, Jason was only implemented by Arkham Knight. They just went about a few easter eggs from Batman Arkham Asylum, and tried to connect Jason’s Presence to them. Jason was in Arkham Asylum canonically, but not actually in the game....

The reason Jason died was that when he was first established, he was just a bad version of Dick Grayson nothing was differet=nt other than his hair colour and name. His Origin story was that of a Circus too. Gladly they changed it afterwards. But it was too late them, fans voted for him to die...

When people said he was kept in an old building in the woods, they were talking about the sanatorium. It was a building that was completely abandoned. It was built into the ground and by the time the Asylum opened back up it was just completely covered up and no longer of use so they didn’t utilize it. That’s why it’s a “sealed-off” portion of Arkham, it’s literally sealed off. You can’t access it anymore.
Then how did Jason escape from a sealed off area?

Deathstroke. Slade was on Arkham Island the night of the Asylum. Jason convinced him to help him escape and in return he’d pay him with money he went on to steal from Bruce’s bank account. This is also why Jason got Deathstroke to help him lead the militia.

It was sealed before Joker gained access to it and lured Jason there, and while he was being tortured he obviously couldn’t escape under constant supervision. Ok the night of the Asylum, Joker hired slade to make sure Jason didn’t escape but he ended up helping him

Honestly, if you think this you have probably only read Batman material lmao Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson, Superman, Constantine, Martian Manhunter, Aquaman and Lex Luthor just to name a few are way more complex than Jason although he certainly is up there but isn't the most complex character

Dude the fact that during the end of asylum deathstroke saved jason somthing batman didn't do wich is I guess why deathstroke was next up to replace him to take charge somthing that I guarantee jason planned for. @@ThatGuyChoco i literally watched the whole thing with zero volume. As a kid as much as I had always wanted to play this game, cause of the hype, growing up I decided that I rather wanna go to sleep normally every night. Shit is scarier than Nightmare on Elm's Street.

Their is something that I have always thought about...What was Batman's plan if jason actually came back to the mansion...Here's an example clownhunter has immense hate for all clowns and even killed tons, joker killed his parents, batman broke his promise to clownhunter and all batman did was send him to a therapist. From knowing all of that I can guess that Batman would have sent him to therapist get all the emotional stuff out of jason and then gone back to crime fighting...Jason was tortured by the inmates of arkham,mental, spiritual, and emotional for more then a year, Im not sure talking it out will fix any of that

14:00 I feel like this is a huge foreshadow to Arkham Knight. It shows Red Hood (or the Arkham Knight) on puppet strings, being controlled by what I imagine to be Scarecrow.
Joker used to be Redhood, and it was Batman’s fault that he became Joker in the first place.
And I think it was already confirmed that this was drawn by Joker...

I believe that Jason was kept in the Arkham manor just to hold him there when Joker wasn't torturing him, but he was likely hauled off into the asylum or another part of the manor when it came time to torture him, also to keep him out of the way of Batman so he didn't know

You know I always wonder why Batman was distant with Robin, but I think about it and it could be that Tim drake Robin kinda was forced on him to try to make him better after losing Jason and thinking he’s dead Batman tried to move on or more Alfred and the bat fam wanted him to get better cause I bet he almost killed the joker or was Reckless idk but it’s interesting to think he didn’t choose Tim he was more there to help him get over it and to be a better Batman you know
It doesn't really make any sense because Batman brought Joker to the Asylum that night and that was after Jason died. So how would Joker by being transported to Arkham just a few hours prior, all of a sudden have Jason waiting there? Not only that but constantly move him around and be just out of Batman's sight?

Thank you for showing us this I really wanted to know what happened to Jason in Arkham Asylum around The Joker’s defeat especially because The ambulance, cops and firefighters showed up and cleared The entire asylum so I was wondering what happened to Jason mostly because he was shot and The cops would’ve found him it really makes sense how and why he left with Deathstroke before the authorities arrived

The scenes in the movie studio when you see what happened to jason were utterly horrific. I'm a horror fan, and I watch a lot of true crime shit. Granted I havent watched any torture porn horror movies, but watching, mostly listening, to jason get tortured made me sick to my stomach. I felt like I was going to cry. Just watching his hope of being rescued die, him crawling away from joker before he branded him, and then being completely broken and a slave to the jokers whims. I think the worst part was when he was crawling away. He knows that there isnt any escape but hes so scared that he still tries. And just... god the scream is so upsetting. You just helplessly watch as this kid, YOUR kid, is being beaten by the monster that wont leave your head.

@@builds6809 All is presented in the video. Joker saved Robin from the explosion and kidnapped him. Batman thought they both died in the explosion but wasn’t sure, so he tried to find them a few weeks later, Joker sends him a video of “shooting Jason” that’s when Batman stops looking because he thinks Jason died

One thing I don't understand is how Jason had enough money to pay for Deathstroke's services AND the militia army, batman obviously cancelled any financial links since he thought Jason was dead for over a year, and even if he didn't, wouldn't it have been suspicious if there was a mysterious check of millions of dollars spent on tanks and drones in Wayne's account?
Well, I used to think that Jason sneakily stole money from his account. When I read the whole comic, I found out, that Jason went into the Manor wearing a Deathstroke mask and stole the money, then fought with Tim Drake, Jason knocked him back and fled with the Helicopter which Slade was piloting.
So, he went out the loud way, they obviously knew their money was stolen by then.
The creators of the game didn’t added any forest to the game because they thought it would never be important but yes, there is a forest around all the Arkham island.
Anyways, he was kept in the cell. the reason why we cant found him when we unlock those areas its because joker already shot Jason
(just a theory) maybe joker filmed with the hope of batman seeing those films but he never found them… not in the asylum, he could saw the films in 2011 but he did 4 years later because his joker mind wasn’t awake yet. He only found films from other characters… unless he found one of the films… i still hoping for something like alternative ending where he speeds up just a bit and catches the Jason moves between place and place in 2008 - 2009
We can never see it tho, yesterday, I used the out of bounds glitch in Knight, and fled to the Asylum, I still didn’t find a forest

@@onebehindthescreen No, the forest doesn’t exist, the cinematic only shows outside of the Asylum which is surrounded only by like 15 trees, I’m pretty sure I covered that in the video, since the video shows his gliding towards the island where the exist/entrance is located

The spinning wheelchair doesn't really support the theory. I recently have started replaying the game, and I found the wheelchair several times in different parts of the asylum. Those wheelchairs all had a spinning wheel.
Then I guess those places are probably parts where Jason was tortured as well..?
